  • Patent number: 10322688
Abstract: A battery management system (BMS) controls lithium battery access on a utility vehicle. The BMS includes a battery interface that couples with a lithium battery, a load interface that couples with a set of loads of the utility vehicle, and control circuitry coupled with the battery interface and the load interface. The control circuitry mechanically disconnects the battery interface from the load interface in response to a sleep event. Additionally, after the battery interface is mechanically disconnected from the load interface, the control circuitry mechanically reconnects the battery interface to the load interface in response to a wakeup event. Furthermore, after the battery interface is mechanically reconnected to the load interface, the control circuitry maintains connection between the battery interface and the load interface to convey power from the lithium battery to the set of loads of the utility vehicle through the battery interface and the load interface.

  • Patent number: 10322689
Abstract: A battery clamp includes a front locking part configured to lock a front face bottom flange formed on a bottom of a front face of a battery. During normal operations, a front pressing portion of the front locking part is in contact with a top face of the front face bottom flange. In a rear crash, upon receiving an upward force from the front face bottom flange, the front locking part moves upward and is tilted rearward to bring a front facing portion into contact with the front face of the battery. Not only the front pressing portion but also the front facing portion holds the battery, so that holding power can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 10322690
Abstract: A retraction barrier can abut objects in the environment for safeguarding. The retraction barrier has multiple longitudinal poles separate from each other and multiple lateral poles separate from each other. The longitudinal poles are connected with the longitudinal poles so that the retraction barrier forms a grid, making the retraction barrier capable of isolating something. The longitudinal poles and lateral poles are each a retractable pole. Lengths of the longitudinal poles and the lateral poles can be changed so that each end of the longitudinal poles and the lateral poles can abut an object in the environment, so the retraction barrier can be secured with objects of any dimensions and shapes. For storage of the retraction barrier, the lateral poles and the longitudinal poles are retracted, so that the volume of the retraction barrier is lessened for ease in carriage.
