Abstract: A multipurpose exercise device having a base that rests on a support surface and a user platform upon which the user stands. The lower end of a perpendicular support post is mounted to the base to axially pivot thereon and the upper end of the post is pivotally mounted to the lower surface of the user platform. The user platform pivots with the support post in a horizontal plane parallel to the support surface and pivots on the support post in a vertical plane perpendicular to the horizontal support surface. Resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the support post and the other end mounted to the base to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the horizontal plane. Preferably, a plurality of resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the base and the other end mounted to the user platform to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the vertical plane.

Abstract: A step platform for aerobic exercise may include multiple layers. The top layer may include an elastic foam member that is configured to at least partially deform when stepped on by a user. The middle layer may include a rigid support member that is configured to at least partially maintain the shape of the foam member. The foam member may include a cover that wraps around the foam member and at least a portion of the support member to fasten the support member to the foam member. The bottom layer may include a base member having a support ridge configured to at least partially restrict deformation of the foam member in at least one direction. The base member may be connectable to the support member.

Abstract: A method for locating a golf ball including changing a temperature of a golf ball from a first temperature to a second temperature before use or marking the ball by reflective (mirror) or fluorescent material (e.g., NIR-IR fluorescent dye). The temperature changed ball is struck. Using either a thermal imaging camera with an imaging processing unit or a near-infrared (NIR) imaging camera with an imaging processing unit to produce a digital image of a part of the golf course with a potential golf ball location. An image processing technique is applied to produce an enhanced image of the golf ball location. A thermal imaging camera and a NIR imaging camera for locating a golf ball are described. A non-transitory computer readable media is described.

Data may include sensor data measuring, force, acceleration, speed, and/or processed sensor data from one or more sensors. Certain embodiments may determine whether the user is within a performance zone based on user attributes. Correlation of the image data with physical activity data may be based, at least in part, whether the user is within a performance zone.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system for determining body's readiness to respond to physical exercise and for providing feedback to a user. In the method the user starts to perform an exercise, an earlier performance level is determined before starting a performance check having steps of: an instant performance level of the user is determined, the earlier performance level is compared to the instant performance level, a readiness index is determined according to the said comparison and optionally with background and/or training history of the user, a feedback is given according to the determined readiness index.

Abstract: A method for monitoring a swimming state by using a wearable device and a wearable device are provided. The method includes: providing a swimming mode in the wearable device, and storing standard swimming stroke data that have been collected in advance as corresponding template data, when a monitoring process starts, activating the swimming mode according to an instruction given by a user who will immediately enter water, and after the swimming mode has been activated, controlling a sensor to collect swimming stroke data of the user; obtaining test data for identifying a swimming state of the user from the swimming stroke data; and matching the test data with each template data, and when the test data that are successfully matched the template data exist, identifying the swimming state of the user to be the swimming state that corresponds to the template data associated with the test data that are successfully matched.

The method further includes providing the video file to a second exercise machine of the second user via the network. In such a method, display of the video file via a display of the second exercise machine is synchronized with display of the video file via a display of the first exercise machine.

More particularly, the invention relates to a golf ball having an exterior surface and at least a first subsurface containing at least two dimples located solely on the subsurface and lying below the exterior surface of the golf ball. A transition zone between the exterior surface and the subsurface is disclosed having an angle of transition and a top radius and a bottom radius. According to the present invention, the exterior surface and at least the first subsurface have at least a first and second surface colors that are different.

Abstract: In a golf ball having a core of at least one layer and a cover of at least one layer, an outermost layer of the cover is formed of an ionomer resin composition which includes specific amounts of (a) an olefin-?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer and/or a metal ion neutralization product thereof, or an olefin-?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid-?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester copolymer and/or a metal ion neutralization product thereof, (b) an oxazoline group-containing polymer, (c) an inorganic filler, and (d) a colorant which includes a fluorescent dye or a fluorescent pigment. This golf ball has a translucent appearance that holds down transparency of the ball surface to a suitable level and undergoes relatively little change in color when fading occurs due to sunlight exposure, and is thus both weather resistant and decorative.

Abstract: Multi-piece golf balls containing a multi-layered core structure are provided. The core structure includes a small, heavy inner core (center) having a relatively high specific gravity, an intermediate core layer, and a surrounding outer core layer. The layers of the core structure may have different hardness gradients. In one preferred embodiment, each core layer has a positive hardness gradient. The center of the core comprises a metal material such as copper, steel, brass, tungsten, titanium, aluminum, and alloys thereof. The intermediate core layer is preferably formed from a thermoset composition such as polybutadiene rubber, and the outer core layer is preferably formed from a thermoplastic composition such as an ethylene acid copolymer. The resulting ball has high resiliency and good spin control.

Abstract: A golf ball material which includes (A) a resin mixture containing as the base resin an acid copolymer in which from 90 to 100 mol % of the acid groups are neutralized with metal ions, and (B) an oxazoline group-containing polymer has a low hardness and a soft feel, and moreover possesses a high rebound resilience. Abstract: A resin composition for golf balls is made of (A) polyurethane or polyurea and (B) an acrylic resin or a methacrylic resin, component (B) being included in an amount of from 0.5 to 50 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of component (A). In a golf ball having a core and a cover of one or more layer encasing the core, at least one cover layer is formed of this resin composition. The resin composition is especially useful as a golf ball cover material because it makes it possible to achieve a higher ball initial velocity on shots with a driver and a lower ball initial velocity on approach shots.

Abstract: An impact resistant ball and process of forming an impact resistant ball are provided. The impact resistant ball has an increased resistance to damage caused to a ball by repeated impact with objects such as a game board and game pins thereby decreasing the frequency with which the ball must be replaced. The impact resistant ball also has utility to afford a larger segment of the population the ability to properly grip and throw the impact resistant ball by providing an increased length gripper able to accommodate a greater range of hand sizes. In impact resistant ball has further utility to automatically identify and transmit data including the impact of the ball with the game pins and ball metrics including speed, pressure and weight.

Abstract: An inflatable sports ball is provided. The sports ball includes an interior bladder and a cover disposed about the interior bladder. The cover may include an outer substrate and an intermediate structure. The cover may further include an outer substrate surface, defined by the outer substrate, and a feature surface radially spaced apart from the outer substrate surface. Together the outer substrate surface and the feature surface cooperate to define an exterior surface of the cover. A mechanoluminescent material may be embedded in a portion of the cover. The mechanoluminescent material may be disposed at only one of the outer substrate surface and the feature surface, such that it is positioned to form a predetermined design on the cover. The mechanoluminescent material emits visible light in response to an externally-applied stress, such that the predetermined design illuminates when an external stress or mechanical stimulus is exerted upon the cover.

Abstract: Personalized dental guards for users of musical wind instrument, as well as methods for making such personalized dental guards, are disclosed. The personalized dental guards can be fabricated from a thermoplastic ingot that becomes pliable at elevated temperatures. The method can involve heating the thermoplastic ingot until pliable, wrapping the pliable thermoplastic ingot around a musical wind instrument user's teeth to form a personalized dental guard that substantially conforms to the user's teeth. Once formed, the personalized dental guard can be transformed back to the pliable thermoplastic ingot by subjecting it to heat and the recovered thermoplastic ingot can be reprocessed to fabricate a new personalized dental guard.

Abstract: A helmet for receiving the head of a hockey or lacrosse player, the helmet having an outer shell and an inner lining covering at least partially the inner surface of the outer shell. In one embodiment, the helmet comprises a skeleton at least partially covered by the inner lining, a movable occipital pad and movable temple pads. The inner lining can be made of an absorptive material such as foam, expanded polypropylene or expanded polyethylene and can be overmolded onto the skeleton. The occipital pad and the temple pads may be arranged with an inward bias so as to help the helmet self-adjust to provide an advantageous fit on the player's head. In some embodiments, the outer shell and skeleton, or the outer shell and the inner lining, cooperate to define a ventilation system.

The user can then turn on the lighting component to cause the cup to glow a certain color. The user places liquid within the cup. The user then attempts to bounce or throw a ball into the cup. The user may use a plurality of lighting components and cups to create a configuration of enlightened cups.
