  • Patent number: 10329681
Abstract: A copper-silver dual-component metal electroplating solution includes copper methanesulfonate, silver methanesulfonate, methanesulfonic acid, chlorine ions, and water. An electroplating method for forming a copper-silver dual-component metal by using such an electroplating solution, the steps of which includes (a) contacting the copper-silver dual-component metal electroplating solution with a substrate; (b) applying an operating voltage, the current density of which is controlled to be between 0.1 and 2 ASD in order to carry out electroplating on the substrate. Therefore, the electroplating solution has environmental characteristics, such as less poisoning hazards, through the design of methanesulfonic acid and methanesulfonate electroplating solution. Also, the potential and the current are adjusted during the electroplating in order to obtain a copper-silver dual-component metal plating layer with a specific silver content.

  • Patent number: 10329683
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to methods, apparatus, and systems for electroplating metal into recessed features using a superconformal fill mechanism that provides relatively faster plating within a feature and relatively slower plating in the field region. Moreover, within the feature, plating occurs faster toward the bottom of the feature compared to the top of the feature. The result is that the feature is filled with metal from the bottom upwards, resulting in a high quality fill without the formation of seams or voids, defects that are likely where a conformal fill mechanism is used. The superconformal fill mechanism relies on the presence of a sacrificial oxidant molecule that is used to develop a differential current efficiency within the feature compared to the field region. Various plating conditions are balanced against one another to ensure that the feature fills from the bottom upwards. No organic plating additives are necessary, though plating additives can be used to improve the process.

  • Patent number: 10329687
Abstract: To reduce ungrown region or abnormal grain growth region in growing a Group III nitride semiconductor through a flux method. A seed substrate has a structure in which a Group III nitride semiconductor layer is formed on a ground substrate as a base, and a mask is formed on the Group III nitride semiconductor layer. The mask has a plurality of dotted windows in an equilateral triangular lattice pattern. A Group III nitride semiconductor is grown through flux method on the seed substrate. Carbon is placed on a lid of a crucible holing the seed substrate and a molten mixture so that carbon is not contact with the molten mixture at the start of crystal growth. Thereby, carbon is gradually added to the molten mixture as time passes. Thus, ungrown region or abnormal grain growth region is reduced in the Group III nitride semiconductor crystal grown on the seed substrate.

  • Patent number: 10329690
Abstract: A seed cotton dryer comprises an array of electromagnetic wave energy generators in a cotton gin, a cotton picker/stripper. An appropriate amount of energy is used to evaporate a considerable amount of moisture in the seed cotton without producing enough energy to pop the cotton seeds. Seed cotton dried by wave energy is much easier to separate the cotton seeds and lint from leaves, stems and other plant parts. The seed cotton is preferably transported through the dryer in a conduit having flat sides which reflects the wave energy more efficiently than through a round conduit. Provisions are made to prevent arcing in the transport conduit when extraneous metal pieces are inadvertently mixed with the seed cotton. In some embodiments, heated air from a diesel engine is used to dry crops as they are being harvested.

  • Patent number: 10329713
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of producing steam at a digester plant of a chemical pulp mill. Black liquor is discharged from the digester at a first temperature and pressure. The black liquor is treated in a flash tank for generating flashed black liquor and flash steam at a second temperature and a second pressure, which are lower than the first temperature and pressure. The flashed black liquor is taken for further treatment to the evaporation plant. The flash steam is led to an indirect heat exchange contact with clean liquid in the reboiler for boiling the liquid and for generating steam. The steam is led from the reboiler into a fan or compressor for increasing the steam pressure to a third pressure, which is higher than the second pressure and for adjusting the pressure of the steam in the flash tank. Steam at a third pressure is used for pretreating comminuted cellulosic fiber material, such as chips, prior to cooking.

Abstract: A method is provided for decision support in regulating an adhesive coating applied to Yankee dryers. Online sensors are configured to continuously measure stock characteristics, and additional sensors provide actual stock flow rate and machine speed. A controller predicts potential natural coating application from a fibrous sheet generated from the stock to the Yankee dryer surface, substantially in real time, based on the measured characteristics and sensed actual machine values. An output signal may be provided to a display unit, wherein an optimal adhesive coating feed rate may be determined and displayed for operator decision support. The controller may in an automatic mode be configured to regulate the adhesive coating feed rate based on a comparison of one or more determined optimal values associated with respective actual values. The method may include identifying fiber source changes in real time, and predicting a natural coating potential based partly on predetermined correlations.

  • Patent number: 10329726
Abstract: A method of designing a box-type energy-dissipating section of a box-type energy-dissipating mudflow diversion flume. Firstly, the longitudinal gradient J of the flume and the roughness coefficient n 0 of a fully-lined flume bottom (1) are determined. Then, the parameters of the box-type energy-dissipating section are set, and related parameters are substituted into a formula for calculation, so that the overall roughness coefficient n of the flume is obtained. Further, the flow velocity of the mudflow is calculated by means of the Manning formula. Finally, the flow velocity of the mudflow is compared with the non-scouring and non-silting velocity allowed by the flume, and the design value of the box-type energy-dissipating section is obtained through final optimization. The method factors in the longitudinal gradient J of the flume, the length L of the box-type energy-dissipating section, the width b of the box-type energy-dissipating section, and the average diameter D of filler stones.
