  • Patent number: 10363693
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a manufacturing method for a plug for a container neck. In one implementation, a skirt of the plug is molded and provided with an attachment device adapted to removably attach to the container neck and with a permanent retention strip around the container neck. The retention strip is adapted to pass, by folding, from a molding configuration to an operating configuration. A peripheral break line is then cut out in the skirt, adapted so as to be broken during the first opening of the plug. In some implementations, the retention strip may be prefolded and thereby pass from a molding configuration to an intermediate prefolded configuration. The retention strip is then folded until it passes into an operating configuration. In some implementations, the folding of the retention strip may pass the retention strip from an intermediate prefolded configuration to an operating configuration.

  • Patent number: 10363695
Abstract: The present invention provides a mold movement control mechanism which is suitable for being assembled in mold to drive the plates of the mold to move. The mold movement control mechanism has a rotatable engaging member and two moving members. In one predetermined travel section, the engaging member is kept unable to rotate. The moving members are then engaged and moved together by the engaging member. After the moving members and the engaging member are moved across the predetermined travel section, the engaging member become rotatable, and the moving members are moved independently. Thus, the mold movement control mechanism can control the positions and travel paths of the moving members without spring. Manufacturing tolerance and maintenance cost could be both lowered.

Abstract: An in-line method for manufacturing a plurality of multilayer pads, and the resultant pads. Provided are either a web of fusible base-pad-forming material and a web of fusible intermediate barrier-layer-forming material or a bottom fusible web, and a web of fusible handle-forming material. There is no need for handle-forming material to have a width less than the width of pads being manufactured; it can be challenging to maintain the lateral alignment of multiple handle-forming strips. Either one or two thermal bonding stations are employed, with particular bonding patterns, before pads are cut out. The handle has an outer periphery coextensive with the outer periphery of the base pad and handle layers. The pads have either “wings” handles, or “L”-shaped handles.

  • Patent number: 10363728
Abstract: A method produces labels having multiple sheets glued together in a first surface region of the basic label and lying loosely on top of each other in a second surface region. After printing an anti-adhesion layer in first surface regions and a frame region, webs are applied and printed to produce lowermost label sheets. An anti-adhesion layer is printed onto the last web in third surface regions lying between the first and/or second surface regions and the frame region. After punching the material web between the third surface regions and the first and/or second surface regions, an outermost web is applied and printed. By punching a frame through all webs, a lattice take-off is severed, simultaneously forming an outermost sheet section in each third surface region projecting laterally beyond the lowermost label sheets.

Abstract: Recoaters are described which are adapted for use in powder-layer three-dimensional printers. The recoaters comprise a mesh discharge device that is adapted to be selectively activated by the application of an agitation, e.g. a vibration. Such mesh discharge devices include a planar mesh, i.e. a screen or sieve, which is adapted to support a quantity of powder when the quantity of powder and the mesh are static and to dispense at least a portion of the quantity of powder when at least one of the quantity of powder and the mesh is agitated. Preferably, the mesh is disposed substantially horizontally, but may be disposed at an angle to the horizontal. Also described are powder-layer three-dimensional printers comprising such recoaters. In some embodiments, the powder-layer three-dimensional printers are adapted to space the mesh no more than about two to ten powder layer thicknesses from the top surface of the powder bed or substrate upon which a powder layer is to be deposited.

  • Patent number: 10363732
Abstract: A system and method for improving the production of objects with fully defined CAD models by generating CAD slice files from the native CAD geometries for use by AM machines. An electronic processing element receives the CAD model having a native and/or neutral format with metadata, determines a desired resolution, slices the CAD model to create the slice files having a slice format (e.g., point, edge, surface, volume) and retaining the metadata, and evaluates the slice files to determine whether the resolution has been achieved. If so, the slice files are sent to the AM machine. If not, a new desired resolution is determined and the CAD model is re-sliced, which may include combining the slice files to regenerate the CAD model. A support structure for the object may be analyzed, and if distortion is predicted, a modified CAD model may be created and sliced to create modified slice files.
