Publication number: 20190232190Abstract: In a system and process for selectively purifying various pharmacologically-relevant components of a source plant such as cannabis, an initial step provides a low-temperature, robust essential oil/terpene capture that also dehydrates and decarboxylates the starting product—fresh raw cannabis—by means of a vacuum-assisted microwave distillation process. By doing the terpene capture under vacuum distillation temperature may be kept low. The low distillation temperature maximizes yields of thermally-sensitive components such as terpenes and cannabinoids. The system includes an oil/water separator configured to prevent leakage of ambient air into the system.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 10, 2019Publication date: August 1, 2019Inventor: Jose Rivas

Publication number: 20190232212Abstract: The invention relates to the intensification of hydrogen PSA processes through utilization of specifically engineered core-shell composite adsorbents. Different embodiments of core-shell adsorbents can be used with either high or low heat capacity cores, and different adsorbent shells (e.g. activated carbon, zeolite, silica gel, alumina etc.) resulting in higher mass transfer rates and hence sharper mass transfer fronts during the PSA process. The location of the limiting impurity front determines the product purity. Therefore, with sharper impurity fronts, lower height of adsorbent bed is required, and cycle time can be proportionally reduced. Also, thermal swing during the PSA can be reduced by use of such adsorbents. The use of a high heat capacity core to reduce the thermal swing, leads to higher overall working capacity of the adsorbent bed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2019Publication date: August 1, 2019Inventors: Neel Rangnekar, Yang Luo, Jennifer Bugayong Luna

The micropump is configured to generate a pneumatic pressure within the gas-carrying region that is lower than a fluid pressure of a liquid flowing through the liquid-carrying region. According to the invention, a gas-permeable and liquid-impermeable separating element separates, at least in sections, the gas-carrying region and the liquid-carrying region. According to the present invention, the micropump is disposed on the pressure chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2019Publication date: August 1, 2019Inventors: Martin RICHTER, Axel WILLE, Simone STROHMAIR, Christian WALD

Publication number: 20190232236Abstract: A microbubble generation device comprises a liquid inlet (101), a gas inlet (104), a bubble flow outlet (103), and a gas-liquid mixing chamber (102). An air-permeable hole having an angle structure is provided at a gas-liquid interface of the gas-liquid mixing chamber (102), and a pointed end of the angle structure of the air-permeable hole points to a liquid flow direction. The bubbles generated by the device are extremely small in diameter, prolonging a duration the bubbles stay in the liquid phase, and enhancing gas-liquid mass transfer efficiency.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2017Publication date: August 1, 2019Applicant: JIANGSU LANSHAN ENVIRONMENT TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.Inventors: Jiangning NIE, Yunqing ZHAO, Bin LING

Publication number: 20190232237Abstract: A gassing device for the intermittent introduction of oxygen-containing gas or air into the waste water of a sewage treatment plant includes at least one membrane and a support body supporting the membrane and having gas-inlet openings. The membrane comprises a support membrane and a gassing membrane, wherein through-openings are arranged in the support membrane and continuous perforation slits are arranged in the gassing membrane and connected to the through-openings of the support membrane, or project into same, or are arranged inside the through-openings. The gassing membrane has a greater elasticity and is softer than the support membrane. The width of the through-openings of the support membrane decrease from the outer side and the gassing membrane projects partially or completely into the through-openings of the support membrane, and has a corresponding negative contour in relation to the through-openings of the support membrane.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2017Publication date: August 1, 2019Inventor: Alexander OTT
