Abstract: A system and method provides noninvasive mental state diagnostics and brain stimulation via consensual transcranial stimulation. The method utilizes face recognition associated with known physiologic measures to identify an emotional state- of-mind of a human subject and then provides or at least suggests a transcranial stimulation treatment for enhancing mental focus or for alleviating discomfort or anxiety by inducing a feeling of well-being. An example system arrangement utilizes a camera to scan a subject's facial expressions and, if the subject desires, provides a transcranial stimulation to the subject based upon an analysis of the facial expression. In one example environment, the system is used in the office or other workplace. In another example environment, the system is used in conjunction with a vehicle seat, such as for example a seat in a car, train, aircraft or other vehicle.

Abstract: The method allows controlling the quality of an initial RR series made up of a plurality of (RRi) samples which are respectively a function of time intervals (?ti) which separate two successive heartbeats. During this method, one resamples the RR series so as to obtain a resampled RR series, and one automatically controls the quality of the RR series by automatically calculating at least the mathematical norm value (NORME), in a sliding window, of the resampled RR series, said mathematical norm value being given by the following formula: NORME = ? i = 1 N ? ( RR i - 1 N ? ? i = 1 N ? ( RR i ) ) 2 where N is the number of RRi samples in said window.

Abstract: A method of real peak detection includes optimizing a scoring function using training signals with known peaks and known features. The method includes receiving an input signal measured from a mobile sensor and representative of a cyclic biological process. The method includes filtering the input signal to remove low and high frequency noise. The method includes identifying candidate peaks and troughs within a selected time range of the input signal. The method includes extracting a feature that describes properties of the two or more candidate peaks. The method includes scoring the candidate peaks using the scoring function, selecting a real peak as the candidate peak with the highest score, and generating a biologic interval data set with the real peak and another peak that is representative of health markers. The method includes assessing a condition of the patient based on the biologic interval data set.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for detecting a fall of a user of a wearable device. The described system samples signal data from an accelerometer of the wearable device and performs a preliminary determination of fall detection using pattern recognition. This preliminary detection may be based on whether a first portion of the signal data exceeds a first threshold indicative of a fall of a wearer of the electronic device and whether a second portion of the signal data is within a range indicative of motion stillness following the fall. The described system further applies a machine learning classifier to the signal data associated with the preliminary indication to generate a fall classification indicating the signal data represents a fall of the wearer of the electronic device.
