Abstract: A gaming device includes a base, a runway, and a target. The base includes a baseplate and a ramp. The base plate has an upper surface and a leading end. The ramp includes a ramp leg that supports the ramp in an inclined position. The runway has a free end that extends from the leading end of the base plate in a deployed configuration of the gaming device. The target includes a target plate having a target surface that defines a plurality of holes. The target plate is hingedly attached to the base plate such that the base plate is foldable into the target in a transport configuration of the gaming device. In the transport configuration, the upper surface of the base plate opposes the target surface of the target plate with the ramp disposed between the upper surface and the target surface.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, a training device for hockey players is disclosed herein. The training device includes a puck sorting system for holding and orienting hockey pucks. The puck sorting system includes a puck drum having bottom and side portions and configured to hold therein a plurality of hockey pucks. The bottom portion of the puck drum has rotatably mounted thereon a conical puck agitation device configured to orient the plurality of hockey pucks into a predefined position. The training device further includes a puck launching system attached to the puck sorting system. The puck launching system includes a sloped tube operable to receive oriented hockey pucks and convey hockey pucks to a puck launcher. The puck launcher is configured to shoot hockey pucks via a spinning launching wheel driven by a launching motor.

Abstract: A system used to attach a climbing hold to a chain-link fence. In one embodiment, a backing plate (10) narrow enough to slide through the openings of a chain-link fence (12) is placed on the far side of the chain-link fence (12). A climbing hold (14) is placed on the nearside of the chain-link fence (12), and a bolt (16) is used to clamp the assembly together. Other embodiments are described and shown.

Abstract: A batting practice stand has a length-adjustable post that has a ball-receiving cone at one end and L-shaped slots through its sidewall at its opposite end. By axially sliding the post into an opening of the base and rotating, the L-shaped slots engage a bar within the base opening to secure the post to the base. A compressible washer or stopper is provided in the bottom portion of the base to facilitate connection between L-shaped slots of the post and bar within the base. Legs extend outwardly from between flanges of the sidewall of the base. Between the flanges, the base defines socket openings that receive curved detent buttons extending from the proximal ends of each of the legs. Pins extend across the flanges and through the legs, and are engaged by slots defined in the curved detent buttons. The legs are rotatably moved from a storage position aligned with the legs substantially parallel to one another to a stand support position with the legs at angles to one another.

The upper body provides scorekeeping discs which are movably mounted on two semicircular rings, and two cup holders which may be used to hold the users' drinks while the users throw beanbags at a goal. Abstract: A wearable device has a core contraction sensor and a movement sensor which transmits signals to a processor which analyzes the signals and uses the data to control aspects of a video game. The core contraction signal may determine if the user's core is contracted or relaxed. A video game may be used with the wearable device to encourage usage of the core muscles with the player getting points or rewards for engaging their core muscles and properly timing the engagement of the core muscles with body movements. The wearable device may be used in place of, or together with conventional video game control devices. Developing the habit of using the core muscles during may be beneficial in back pain rehab and prevention, fitness training and wellness, athletic performance improvement, and reducing workplace injuries in occupations involving heavy lifting.

Abstract: Innovations in the area of controlling behavior of computer-controlled entities such as cars in a computer-represented environment are presented herein. In various examples described herein, the behavior of computer-controlled cars is controlled by an artificial intelligence (“AI”) behavior engine. The AI behavior engine performs operations to determine if the behavior (driving pattern, etc.) of a computer-controlled car should change for a funnel section. If so, the AI behavior engine switches the computer-controlled car to a trailing mode configuration and selects a candidate car to follow in the funnel section based on various criteria. The AI behavior engine also determines how to follow the candidate car by selecting a racing path and setting rules to determine the speed to use for following the candidate car. Control values are then set. The described innovations also generally apply to other racing scenarios, self-driving/autonomous cars, and other applications with robotic equipment and devices.

The persistent avatar exists in a plurality of virtual environments and includes attributes generated by an attribute generator, an enabler for enabling virtual environments to access the stored attribute data, and a migrator for allowing the avatar to migrate from one virtual environment to another while the attributes of the persistent avatar remain substantially constant. The enabler utilizes at least one client based on protocol suite. Stored attribute data is modifiable by experiences in any virtual environment. User of the persistent avatar is notified when events occur in any virtual environment, or within real life, by monitoring for events with a monitor, assessing importance of the event with an assessor, and notifying the owner with an informer of the event if it exceeds a threshold of importance.

Abstract: Raw cannabis plant material is mixed with ethanol and spun-dry to extract cannabinoids. The ethanol may be chilled before adding it to the raw cannabis plant material, and a non-polar solvent stage may be used to increase the yield of the extraction. The resulting crude oil and ethanol with the dissolved cannabinoids is separated from the raw cannabis plant material and filtered to remove particulates, waxes, lipids, fats and dissolved impurities.
