Publication number: 20190314826Abstract: Disclosed is a process for separating suspended particles based on size. When confined in a tube, a bubble moves relative to the liquid as a small fraction of the liquid leaks backwards through a very thin gap between the bubble and the internal wall of the tube. The lubricating film formed around the bubble can be fine-tuned by simply changing the average flow speed. With this thin film of liquid, the confined air bubble can be used to separate particles in, for example, poly-disperse microspheres suspensions. As the bubble passes through the suspension, only particles smaller than the liquid gap thickness can leak through the gap towards the back of the bubble, resulting a filtered particle suspension containing only small particles at the back of the bubble. Compared to the traditional methods, this particle separation process is easy to perform, and is flexible in filtering different suspensions with one set-up.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 11, 2019Publication date: October 17, 2019Applicant: The Trustees of Princeton UniversityInventors: Howard A. Publication number: 20190314856Abstract: A driving device of caulking gun includes a housing, a driving assembly, a threaded rod, and a transmission assembly. The housing defines an axial direction. The driving assembly is disposed on the housing and includes a motor assembly and a driving gear. The motor assembly and the driving gear are linked-up to rotate simultaneously. The threaded rod is slidably disposed on the housing and is nonrotatable with respect to the housing. The threaded rod is formed with a spiral groove. The transmission assembly is arranged in the housing and includes a transmission sleeve and a plurality of abutting members. The transmission sleeve is sleeved onto the threaded rod and is radially formed with a plurality of through holes. The abutting members are received in the through holes respectively. The transmission sleeve and the driving gear are linked-up.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2019Publication date: October 17, 2019Inventor: PING-TZU HO

Publication number: 20190314858Abstract: A fluid pressure-feed device includes a main tank and a sub tank. The sub tank is connected integrally with an upper portion of a main follower plate that applies pressurizing force to a urethane adhesive inside the main tank. A drum pump is provided in an upper portion of a sub follower plate provided in the sub tank. While the urethane adhesive is flowing into the sub tank from the main tank, the urethane adhesive is fed under pressure from the sub tank to a fluid passage by actuation of the drum pump. While the main tank is being replaced, the urethane adhesive inside the sub tank is fed under pressure to the fluid passage by the drum pump.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2019Publication date: October 17, 2019Applicants: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHA, PYLES JAPAN CO., LTD.Inventors: Masahiro TASAKA, Rikiya MAKINO, Takashi SUZUKI, Takatoshi URASHI, Shouji SUZUKI
