Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of correcting a three-dimensional image. To correct an image distorted by coherence gate curvature (CGC) occurring by an optical system, the method generates a three-dimensional image of a sample holder on which an object to be measured is placed from an interference signal, generates a CGC profile on the basis of an image of a cover glass of the sample holder appearing in the three-dimensional image, generates a CGC fitting curve from the CGC profile, and corrects the interference signal by using the CGC fitting curve. The present disclosure also relates to an OCT system capable of performing a method of correcting a three-dimensional image.

Abstract: Various methods and devices for reducing the time for a body-mountable temperature monitoring device to provide an accurate body temperature are disclosed. Methods are used to accurately predict the measured temperature once the monitoring device reaches thermal equilibrium. For example, in one embodiment, a method for measuring body temperature of a subject includes obtaining, by a temperature monitor attached to a body of the subject, a plurality of body temperature measurements at a plurality of times, determining parameters of a model used for predicting temperature based on the plurality of measurements, predicting a body temperature of the subject based on the model, and outputting the predicted body temperature as a current temperature reading.

Abstract: A thermometer includes a temperature sensor, a computation circuit, and a wireless communications circuit. The computation circuit includes a memory and a processor, with the memory storing program code to perform the various functions of the thermometer, including computing a temperature of the patient based upon the one or more readings, and to store this temperature in the memory. The processor may also store the time at which the readings were obtained and associate it with the stored temperature. The wireless communications circuit and the computation circuit are used to establish a wireless communications link with an external device to provide temperature values stored in the memory to the external device. The associated time of the stored temperature may also be communicated to the external device. The external device can be used to view the temperature readings and to configure the thermometer.
