Abstract: This invention involves a balance scale with a base, a balance arm support, a balance arm, a pointer with a counter-balance, and a movable label plate containing descriptions. The balance arm has a tray on each end, where one tray holds an article representing mankind with sin, and the other tray holds an article representing the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. The articles on each tray are of equal or approximately equal weight. The scale rotates when the weight of the articles are added to or removed from the trays, and the scale rotation will determine which description the pointer will point to. This invention can be used as a Christian teaching aid showing the benefit of choosing to accept the death of Christ as payment in full for our sins, along with showing the consequence of our refusal to accept the death of Christ as payment for our sins.

Abstract: The present inventive concept consists of a logic controlled submersion brewing device that operates reliably with minimal user interaction. The brewer employs a submersion brewing technique to ensure a uniform extraction of beverage from solid extraction media. The device may be programmable to start on a timer. Parameters of the brew program may be customizable including serving size and extraction settings. The device will use vapor pressure to forcibly move beverage liquid across a sieve thereby separating the liquid from spent extraction media. Reliability and repeatability of the separation procedure is enhanced using a novel method of pressure control.

Abstract: This device when adapted to an ordinary bath tub, converts the tub into a system that prevents spilled water resulting from the process of taking a bath, from spilling onto the bathroom floor. This device captures the water that ordinarily would have fallen on the floor and redirects it to a reservoir tank, for holding. This tank or water holding device, stores the water until it is quickly and easily disposed by dumping it back into the tub's drainage system. There is no other system that has the ability to keep the bathroom floor completely dry when either taking a shower or a bath. With a series of shield, water trough and hoses, the water that ordinarily would have become a safety hazard on the floor, is quickly channeled off to a drain line, there to a reservoir tank from which the water would be disposed. The device is attractive, non-intrusive and light weight. It is also detachable after installation and is completely portable and transferrable.

Abstract: An endoscope/triplescope (combined gastroscope, bronchoscope, laryngoscope) device and/or system includes an endoscope having an outer diameter of less than about 5.0 millimeters, in particular less than about 3.5 millimeters, having an illumination element that includes at least one microLED that allows high resolution viewing having a distal element including an optical element that allows four way tip deflection. Depending on the use the light emitted from the microLEd or multiple microLEDs may be controlled such that a particular wavelength or a range of wavelengths is emitted. Further, the device may include a scope stiffening apparatus to minimize the endoscopes flexibility when needed, a foot and hand activation to allow air/water insufflation and image/video capture, a light source, an interior conduit having a diameter greater than about 2 mm, one or more sensor arrays, audio elements for transcription of report, sensors to measure body cavity findings.

Abstract: An endoscope according to the present invention includes an insertion section, a forward observation window and a forward illumination system disposed at a distal end surface of the insertion section, a lateral observation window and a lateral illumination system disposed toward a proximal end, and an image capturing element captures an image of light. The forward illumination system includes a scattering element surrounding the forward observation window, and light guide fibers that cause illumination light from a light source to enter, toward a distal end, input locations arranged in a circumferential direction at a proximal end of the scattering element. The scattering element is constituted by dispersing particles in a homogenous medium, and satisfies the conditional expressions 0.06??s?100 and 0.7?g<1, where ?s indicates a scattering coefficient (1/mm) of the scattering element and g indicates an anisotropy parameter of the particles.
