  • Patent number: 10507332
Abstract: An extra-cardiovascular implantable cardioverter defibrillator senses R-waves from a first cardiac electrical signal by a first sensing channel and stores a time segment of a second cardiac electrical signal in response to each sensed R-wave. The ICD determines intervals between successively sensed R-waves and, in response to at least a predetermined number of the intervals being less than a tachyarrhythmia detection interval, analyzes at least a portion of the time segment of the second cardiac electrical signal corresponding to a most recent one of the sensed R-waves to confirm the most recent one of the R-waves. The ICD updates an unconfirmed beat count in response to the most recent one of the R-waves not being confirmed and withholds detection of a tachyarrhythmia episode in response to the unconfirmed beat count being equal to or greater than a rejection threshold.

  • Patent number: 10507338
Abstract: A gantry applies particle beams to a subject. An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus scans the subject with ultrasonic waves via an ultrasonic probe, and acquires an ultrasonic image concerning a radiotherapy target region of the subject. A processing circuitry specifies a first planned point of a Bragg peak in the ultrasonic image, which anatomically coincides approximately with a second planned point of the Bragg peak decided in radiotherapy planning. The processing circuitry estimates a sighting point of the Bragg peak of a particle beam based on a body surface position of the subject and an actual range of the particle beam. The display displays the ultrasonic image to indicate the first planned point and the sighting point.

A plurality of heart-rate variability values and a plurality of exertion parameter values are measured during an exercise measured. The heart rate variability values correlate with the exertion parameter values through a human physiological mechanism, and the exertion parameter values characterize the physical exertion of the exercise. A mathematical correspondence is then constructed from the plurality of measured heart rate variability values and associated exertion parameter values. The mathematical correspondence describes correlation between the heart rate variability values and the exertion parameter values and the user's physiological state during the exercise. Abstract: A golf ball has a plurality of dimples 12 and a land 14 on a surface thereof. The golf ball further has a large number of minute projections 18 formed on surfaces of the dimples 12 and the land 14. An average pitch Pav of these minute projections 18 is less than 100 ?m. An average height Hav of these minute projections 18 is not less than 0.5 ?m and not greater than 50 ?m. The golf ball satisfies the following mathematical formula. Lav<3*Tav In the mathematical formula, Lav represents an average value of distances L between the minute projections 18 and other minute projections 18 adjacent to the minute projections 18, and Tav represents an average value of widths T of these minute projections 18.
