Abstract: Embodiments of a ventilated sleep system and an airflow/breathable mattress foundation are disclosed, and typically may be configured to provide ventilation to a mattress, for example through an upper surface of a foundation allowing airflow therethrough. Typically, sleep system embodiments may include mattresses with foam layers with ventilation passageways in fluid communication with a lower surface of the mattress cover, which is configured to allow airflow therethrough, and some embodiments may also include foam pillars. Such sleep system embodiments typically may have such a ventilation mattress atop such a ventilation foundation, with airflow therebetween.

Abstract: A pocketed spring assembly comprises parallel strings, each string joined to at least one adjacent string. At least some of the strings have springs of different gauge wire and some of the pockets of the strings having springs of different gauge wire are spliced together. At least some of the strings have springs of different geometries and some of the pockets of the strings having springs of different geometries are spliced together. At least some strings may have end sections with springs different than a middle section therebetween, the springs of the end sections being firmer than the springs of the middle section.

Abstract: A pocket spring mattress for use in a bedding or seating product is disclosed. The mattress comprises a plurality of interconnected coil springs enclosed in continuous covers forming strings of pockets accommodating the coil springs. Adjacent coil springs within each string are spaced apart by an interjacent separation distance, said separation distance exceeding at least 20 percent of the diameter of the largest one of the spiral turns of the adjacent coil springs. Further, the pocket spring mattress further comprises a cushioning pad located above the upper end of each coil spring, wherein the covers provides first compartments enclosing the coil springs, and second compartments enclosing the cushioning pads, said first and second compartments being separated from each other. The cushioning pads each have a length extension in the longitudinal direction of the strings exceeding the diameter of the largest one of the spiral turns of the corresponding coil spring.

Abstract: An inflatable pillow system includes a pillow formed of an upper and lower bladder that may be independently inflated and deflated. A controller includes an air mover, a valve assembly, and a control box. The valve assembly includes an air line to the upper bladder, and an air line to the lower bladder. Each of an upper air line valve and a lower air line valve is urged into a closed position by an valve spring, and is movable into an open position by an valve servo. The air line valves may include hollow valve plungers, so that the valve springs extend into the plungers. The control box has an input for inflating and deflating the upper bladder, and an input for inflating and deflating the lower bladder.

Abstract: Embodiments include a person support apparatus including a plurality of air fluidizable material, a tub, a foam bolster disposed along at least one wall of the tub and extending over the at least one wall, and an inflatable air bladder disposed above the foam bolster along the at least one wall of the tub. A method of assisting a person with ingress or egress of a person support apparatus by deflating the inflatable air bladder and adjusting a level of fluidization of the air fluidizable material such that the surface supporting the portion of the person is substantially level with a top of the foam bolster is also described.

Abstract: A portable bed cover assembly for inhibiting a user from contacting linen and pillows on a bed includes a cover that is positionable on a bed having the cover covering linen on the bed. In this way the cover inhibits a user from contacting the linen when the user lies on the bed. A plurality of weights is each coupled to the cover such that each of the weights inhibits the cover from moving off of the bed. A sheet is coupled to the cover to cover the user when the user lies on the cover.

Abstract: A upholstered sofa covered by a form fitting upholstery sack where the upholstery sack incorporates a supportive material panel that has integrated support webbing into the material panel. The support webbing comprising a plurality of webbing straps. With the upholstery sack properly positioned on the back rest portion, the supportive material panel is positioned on the front of the back rest portion frame. The material panel with webbing is incorporated as a component of the upholstery sack where the upholstery sack is pre-formed to snugly fit over the back rest portion of a furniture frame. The back rest portion or the frame is inserted into the sack and the material panel with integrated webbing is attached to the frame. Once the material panel is positioned and fastened, the remaining components, for example, the back panels and side panels, of the upholstery sack are attached to the frame at the back rest portion.

The child carrier includes one or more adjustments that work alone or in cooperation to adjust the depth and width of the bucket seat area provided by the child carrier. Abstract: A child's folding walker with caster wheels that is adjustable in height to permit a child to sit and touch the ground and move the walker. The walker includes four vertical legs, and upper platform that attaches to a suspended seat with leg holes configured to hold a sitting child in a suspended position above the floor. Attached to the distal ends of the legs is a rotating wheel. Disposed between the four legs is a folding support frame configured to hold the four legs in a fixed position when used as a walker but collapses into a folding configuration for compact storage and easy transport. In one embodiment, the walker includes four X-shaped leg assemblies that enable the walker to collapse into a compact vertical configuration. In another embodiment, the walker has two X-shaped leg assemblies that enable the walker to collapse into compact horizontal configuration.

Abstract: The invention provides a disposable coated paper straw formed by rolling one or more sheets. In the straw each one of the one or more sheets is a coated paper strip made of a coated paper which comprises a first paper-base layer and a first coating layer. The first coating layer is located at least at an exterior side of the first paper-base layer. The straw further contains an interface edge which is joined by overlapping portions of the one or more sheets in the longitudinal direction. The first coating layer is made from degradable resin. The straw provided by the present invention is not only degradable, which is environmentally friendly, but also it can maintain the strength of the straw over a long period of time.

Abstract: The present invention provides a garment hanger intended to be packed into a suitcase with shirts left on the hangers. The clothes hanger has a hook section that is substantially C-shaped to hang on a closet rod or other means. The body portion is generally triangular for holding a shirt or other garment. The hook and hanger sections are spaced apart and connected by the flexible/strap section. The arms of the shirts can be folded across the front of the shirts on top of the hanger section. The shirts is folded again from the bottom. The flexible section is folded about 180 degrees to place the hook portion on top of the hanging portion with the bend in the flexible section even with the top of the triangular hanging section and if a shirt is on the hanger, even with the collar of the shirt.

Abstract: A carpet stretching assembly includes a carpet stretcher that has a strike plate, a gripper and a tube extending therebetween. The carpet stretcher is positionable on a floor having the gripper engaging carpet on the floor and having the strike plate horizontally oriented for striking with a knee. The tube has a first portion that is slidably coupled to a second portion such that the tube has an adjustable length. A tube shock absorber is positioned within the tube and the tube shock absorber biases the strike plate away from the gripper. The tube shock absorber absorbs impact energy from the striker shock absorbers. Moreover, the tube shock absorber transfers the impact energy from the striker shock absorbers into the gripper. In this way the tube shock absorber enhances stretching the carpet when the strike plate is struck.
