Abstract: A pallet has a rectangular pallet deck with a generally planar upper surface, and a plurality of pallet feet connected by shear members at the four corners. The pallet has an open bottom with a clear span between the pallet feet to allow multiple pallets to be nested together. The pallet feet each have an L-shaped cross section. Holes are formed in the pallet deck to accommodate pallet feet of other pallets when the pallets are nested together. In one embodiment, pallets are nested together by offsetting the pallets in a longitudinal direction. In another embodiment, pallets are nested together by rotating the pallets a quarter turn relative to each other. A metal reinforcement frame is provided inside a plastic exterior to provide increased strength and reduced deflection.

Abstract: Provided are a lockset and a pallet loading bin having the same. A lock hole is arranged at the pallet loading bin. The lockset comprises a lock bar and a handle. A first end of the lock bar is provided with a hook member for fitting the lock hole to realize locking. A connection portion is provided at the lock bar. The lock bar is rotatably connected, by means of the connection portion, to a bin body of the pallet loading bin. Rotation of the lock bar around the connection portion in a plane parallel to an outer surface of the bin body causes the hook member to extend into or retract from the lock hole, thereby realizing locking or unlocking of the lockset. The handle comprises a connection end. The handle is rotatably connected, by means of the connection end, to a second end of the lock bar opposite to the first end of the lock bar. Rotation of the handle around the connection end causes the handle to be positioned close to or away from the outer surface of the bin body.

Abstract: A modular container has identically molded sides pieces connected together at corner joints and separately molded, identical top/bottom pieces. The corner joints are formed by snap fit engagement of flexible locking tabs of one side piece with pockets on another side piece when the molded side pieces are serially connected together. The flexible locking tabs are biased oppositely to one another in alternating manner and each tab engages with a shoulder in the corresponding pocket to enable a zipper effect with respect to the assembly and disassembly of the corner joints. Two top/bottom pieces are secured by relative rotation to the assembled side pieces to form the container. An extension ring or divider can be used between upper and lower sets of the assembled side pieces to enable different container sizes. The component parts are molded with a degree of flexibility that enhances the assembly/disassembly of the corner joints.

If the order is in-process, then the automated sorting system transmits instructions to the drone to transport the item to the location of the order container associated with the order. If the order is pending, then the automated sorting system sorts the item into a container, and scans and associates the container identifier with the order.

Abstract: A control device executes retrieval control to, in response to a transport request in which a type and an order of each of a plurality of articles that are transported to a transport target location are specified, retrieve all the articles specified in the transport request from a target automatic warehouse, which is one automatic warehouse selected from among a plurality of automatic warehouses, to a retrieval transport device in a specified order that is specified in the transport request. The control device executes, before execution of the retrieval control, inter-warehouse movement control to, if at least one of the plurality of articles specified in the transport request is not stored in the target automatic warehouse, move the article that is not stored in the target automatic warehouse from another automatic warehouse to the target automatic warehouse by using an inter-warehouse transport device.

Abstract: A conveying unit for a superordinate conveying system for transporting goods on a transport plane. The conveying unit has transport rollers, drive devices, at least one adjustment apparatus and a control unit. The transport rollers rotate about axes at an actuatable rotational speed and with an actuatable direction of rotation. The drive device can be actuated to drive the transport rollers. The axes of rotation of the transport rollers can be actuated about their respective pivot axes by their own pivot axis angle and can be adjusted by rotation. The adjustment apparatus can be actuated to adjust the axes of rotation of the transport rollers about their respective pivot axes. The control unit actuates the conveying unit, and the conveying unit additionally has a connection apparatus for connecting the conveying unit to the superordinate conveying system.

The conveying belt includes a conveying surface and is adapted to convey the material on the conveying surface. The stabilizer is configured to apply a stabilizing force onto the material on the conveyor belt such that the material is stabilized while being conveyed. A method of stabilizing material on a conveyor belt includes receiving the material on the conveying surface of the conveyor belt, conveying the material at a conveying speed with the conveyor belt, and applying the stabilizing force onto the material with a stabilizer such that vertical displacement of at least some of the material is dampened and/or minimized at the conveying speed.

Abstract: The article transport device includes a transport vehicle configured to move back and forth between a receiving location and a delivery location, and a load receiving base that is provided at at least the receiving location. The transport vehicle includes a transport placing base on which an article is to be placed, and a lift device configured to raise and lower the transport placing base to a first height and to a second height that is lower than the first height. The load receiving base is a base on which an article is to be placed, and is fixed at a third height that is between the first height and the second height. When the transport vehicle performs restoration movement to move from the delivery location to the receiving location, the lift device performs a restoration operation that differs in accordance with whether or not an article is present on the load receiving base at the receiving location.

Abstract: A container-handling device includes two rotors, holders that are arranged around a periphery of the first rotor and receptacles around the first rotor such that as it rotates, the receptacles pass through distinct angular ranges. When a receptacle has a container, relative movement therebetween causes its centering element and its counter-bearing to clamp a container between them with the holder engaging the container above the counter-bearing A first partial-stroke occurs while the receptacle is in a first angular region and a second partial-stroke occurs after the receptacle has left the first angular region. During the first partial-stroke, the centering element bears against a container's mouth with a pressure, and, during the second partial-stroke, this pressure increases.
