Abstract: A device for reducing rotation of an article during singulation of a stack of articles is disclosed. The device may include a torsion element, a rotatable member configured to rotate about an elongated axis of the torsion element between a first position and a second position, and a revolving member coupled to the rotatable member. An outer surface of the revolving member contacts a drive belt in the first position and an article in the second position. The torsion element exerts torque on the rotatable member when it moves from the first position towards the second position. The torque causes the outer surface of the revolving member to apply a frictional force to the article, thereby minimizing rotation of the article. Systems and methods of singulating articles are also disclosed.

Abstract: An intercalation agent for rapid graphite exfoliation in mass production of high-quality graphene is provided, including a transition metal halide salt, a nitrogen source substance and an organic solvent, and the mass ratio of the transition metal halide salt, the nitrogen source substance and the organic solvent is (1-10):1:(2-10). The transition metal halide salt can form a eutectic with the nitrogen source substance or the organic solvent, and the melting point thereof is lower than that of each component, thereby lowering the reaction temperature, and the preparation cost and difficulty; and a hydrogen bond can also be formed between the nitrogen source substance and the organic solvent, thereby avoiding interlayer stacking of the prepared graphene, thus improving the exfoliation efficiency and the product quality.

Abstract: A method of producing uranium halides is disclosed in which chlorine gas is introduced into a liquid uranium-nickel alloy. NaCl salt is surrounding the crucible containing the liquid uranium-nickel alloy, producing a eutectic mixture of NaCl—UCl3. Upon chlorination, the metal halide dissolves in the matrix salt forming a solution. Adding the reactant metal, uranium to the nickel, the alloy is able to remain molten throughout processing. The liquid metal alloy may be removed from the salt bath, while the halide gas continues to enter the system through the sparge until the desired composition of NaCl—UCl3—UCl4 is achieved. The method and system can be used to produce other metal halide salts such as actinide, lanthanide or transition metal halides contained in a matrix salt consisting of alkali and/or alkaline earth halides.
