Abstract: The present invention provides a method for arranging dimples on a golf ball surface in which the dimples are arranged in a pattern derived from at least one irregular domain generated from a regular or non-regular polyhedron. The method includes choosing control points of a polyhedron, generating an irregular domain based on those control points, packing the irregular domain with dimples, and tessellating the irregular domain to cover the surface of the golf ball. The control points include the center of a polyhedral face, a vertex of the polyhedron, a midpoint or other point on an edge of the polyhedron and others. The method ensures that the symmetry of the underlying polyhedron is preserved while minimizing or eliminating great circles due to parting lines.

The flex structure comprises a curved profile (e.g. S-shape or sinusoidal) that functions like a spring to support the face element during golf ball impacts. The face reinforcing structure comprises a looped rib that provides support around a center of the face element. The variable face thickness includes thickened and thinned regions to provide further face element bending or support. The combination of the flex structure, the face reinforcing structure, and the variable face thickness provides increased face element bending while improving club head durability.

The leaf spring biases the rim bracket and resiliently resists downward pivotal movement of the rim bracket and rim. The plurality of discs or arms can provide select pull or force tension for grabbing the flag and thereby popping the discs or arms from engagement with the socket of the shaped member. Players take a plurality of soft bags that are approximately round in shape and throw them from a distance towards the game board, which in various examples is in the shape of a tower, and has holes. After a series of throws, the point scores are totaled and the player earning the most points or the player first to reach a score goal wins.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to enable relative performance measurement of a cyclist by way of an electronic device for use in connection with a bicycle. The electronic device determines and communicates an exertion level and a corresponding actual performance metric achieved by a cyclist based on movement characteristics of the bicycle and whether the cyclist's shoes are clipped into pedals on the bicycle. The device uses sensors for determining the movement characteristics of the bicycle in connection with a memory element and a processing element. The processing element ascertains a pedal clip status event based on the movement characteristics of the bicycle, and the device displays information about the exertion level of the cyclist as correlated with the actual bicycle performance metrics.
