Abstract: A multi-use wader system for keeping a wearer dry in a wide variety of harsh and wet outdoor environments is disclosed. The multi-use wader system includes a base wader, a tear-away insulated liner and a removable outer bib. The tear-away insulated liner is used for covering a wearer and retaining the wearer's body heat. The wearer wears the base wader over the tear-away insulated liner. The base wader includes a waterproof and breathable fabric. An outer protective cover positioned outside the base wader waterproof and breathable fabric provides a plurality of sewn or welded seams features that allow water to pass through, but the base wader fabric prevents leaking water from leaking to the inner side of the base wader. The removable outer bib/pant is placed over the upper portion of the base wader.

Abstract: The present invention relates to welding sleeve preferably comprised of a fabric, leather, or leather-like synthetic material. There is an adjustable, secure means for attaching the welding sleeve to the lower arm of a user or to the upper arm of the user depending upon the relative position of the user compared to that of the materials to be welded. In certain preferred embodiments of the present invention, the fabric may be impregnated with or made from a flame retardant material. Multiple welding sleeves may also be used to protect the upper and lower arms of a user.

Abstract: A color splash effect is established by a darker backdrop color of an outer surface of a liquid proof and heat resistant glove in the event that a portion of the glove ruptures or fails. The color splash effect is accomplished by a lighter and brighter color being visible through the rupture in the glove. The lighter and brighter color may be formed on or as part of a protective member positioned beneath the outer layer. The protective member also protects the wearer against sharp objects contacting the outer layer of the glove and moving over the protective member. Some embodiments provide that the protective member is in a thumb crotch region of the glove.

Abstract: A facial mask includes a foam sealer that is attached at one or more sides of the mask. The foam sealer prevents air or breath from going upwards out of the mask, thereby preventing glasses from being fogged up during surgery. It also keeps air or materials from getting into the mask and prevents, to a degree, bodily fluids and unwanted odors from penetrating the mask than existing masks. The mask prevents unwanted distractions to the surgeon or other medical personnel. The mask also may prevent medical illnesses from the inhalation of air, the exposure to bodily fluids, or the transfer of gases. The foam sealer is comprised of open cell foam. The facial mask acts as a more complete barrier to odors and bodily fluids that may otherwise endanger both the user or other personnel. The decreases in fogging of glasses also will make use of the facial mask safer than normal masks because of increased visibility during surgery or other procedures.

The housing is configured to route (1) fluid flow received at the mouth aperture distally through the oral fluid pathway, and (2) fluid flow received at the side aperture proximally through the oral fluid pathway. The nasal channel is configured to route fluid flow received at the nasal aperture distally through the nasal fluid pathway.

The cover has a first opening and a second opening which define a passage through the cover through which a user's torso, a baby car seat, a high chair, or other object may pass through partially or wholly. Fasteners around the second opening of the cover reduce the size of the second opening when secured and keep the cover in place on a user's shoulder or on an upper portion of a car seat or high chair.

An elastic lining is arranged on an inner side of a shell of the helmet, a plurality of through holes are formed in the elastic lining, buffer elements composed of an elastic material are arranged at the through holes, each buffer element includes a top plate fixed to the shell and a plurality of buffer columns arranged on the top plate, lower end portions of the buffer columns stretch out of the through holes and protrude out of an inner surface of the elastic lining, and clearances are formed between the adjacent buffer columns and between the buffer columns and inner walls of the through holes correspondingly. The helmet of the present invention has a quite good normal and tangential buffer effect, the head of a user is not prone to being injured and the sense of comfort of the user is good when the helmet is subjected to impact of external force, and the protection effect of the helmet on the user is greatly improved.

Abstract: The presented invention is a light weight protective bump cap hat. The bump cap hat has an insert comprised of flexible joints and wings that allow for adjustable horizontal and vertical dimensions of the insert to more readily accommodate various head shapes and sizes. The bump cap insert also has venting channels to allow better venting around the comfort pad and out the crown of the bump cap while being worn by a user.

Abstract: A ratchet mechanism for a headband of a protective helmet controls movement of overlapping rear portions of the headband with respect to one another includes a housing defining an internal cavity. The ratchet mechanism further includes an adjustment element with a pinion configured to engage respective rack gears of the overlapping rear portions of the headband within the internal cavity defined by the housing, along with a spring, which provides a torque that biases the adjustment element to a home position. The ratchet mechanism further includes a knob that is configured for movement between a first position in which it engages the pinion and controls rotation of the adjustment element, and a second position in which it disengages from the pinion, such that the spring will return the adjustment element to the home position.

The odor-eliminating pad is constructed out of multiple polyester layers over an activated-carbon layer. Preferably, one of the polyester layers is coated with an adhesive allowing the odor-eliminating pad to be removably attached to a surface. The odor-eliminating pad may be scented or unscented. The method of construction includes preparing both the activated-carbon layer, the polyester layers, as well as one or more adhesives for bonding the layers together, all before ultrasonically welding them together.
