Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed which may allow a user having a mobile device to check in to a location using a packet sequence that includes information for identifying the location. The location may be transmitted by one or more Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) beacons at or near the location. The user may be able to store packet sequences for various locations that may allow the user to automatically check into these locations using the store packet sequences.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for combining, in real time, images of one or more real life objects that have been captured in real time based on a comprehensive characteristic-based mechanism with a virtual environment to provide an augmented reality environment to a user or user device. In particular, the captured images are provided to a remote server that is capable of performing the processing steps to create a plurality of integrated images. The plurality of integrated images can then be provided to the user device. Advantageously, the remote server can create the plurality of integrated images much more quickly due to the server's enhanced computing power and storage space as compared to the user device. The remote server may be an intermediate server between multiple user devices. The comprehensive content matching mechanism is based on a plurality of factors comprising advertisement content, user preference information, and context information.

Abstract: Video of one or more vehicle occupants is obtained and analyzed. Heart rate information is determined from the video. The heart rate information is used in cognitive state analysis. The heart rate information and resulting cognitive state analysis are correlated to stimuli, such as digital media, which is consumed or with which a vehicle occupant interacts. The heart rate information is used to infer cognitive states. The inferred cognitive states are used to output a mood measurement. The cognitive states are used to modify the behavior of a vehicle. The vehicle is an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle. Training is employed in the analysis. Machine learning is engaged to facilitate the training. Near-infrared image processing is used to obtain the video. The analysis is augmented by audio information obtained from the vehicle occupant.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to method and system for assessing quality of commodities. An image of bulk commodity is captured and segmented into one or more segmented images for classification into one of predefined categories of commodities. The method and system classify the commodities based on generalized features created from training images. One or more features in the training images are determined and grouped to obtain the generalized features. A feature score and corresponding weightage score of the generalized feature is then determined to estimate a predetermined regression score. Based on the generalized features and predetermined regression score, a likelihood score of the segmented image is determined that enables the classification of the input image to one of the predefined categories of commodities.

Abstract: Computing systems, database systems, and related methods are provided for guiding a user defining a quote for a product. One method involves a server obtaining one or more values for one or more attributes of a quote from a client device coupled to the server over a network, obtaining an expected pricing model for the quote from a database, determining expected pricing information for the quote based on the one or more values for the one or more attributes using the model, and providing a graphical indication of the expected pricing information on the client device. The expected pricing model is determined based on historical relationships between quote attributes and price for previously-closed quotes.

Abstract: In some examples, a server may determine a browsing history associated with a user, identify activities associated with purchasing a device, and determine features of the device. Individual features may be assigned a corresponding priority based on the browsing history. A machine learning algorithm may predict a configuration of the device based on the features and the corresponding priorities. The server may create a web page that describes a specification of the device based on the configuration and includes a comparison of at least some of the features of the device with other features of similar devices. The server may send a notification with a link to the web page. The web page may enable the user to modify the configuration and modify a price of the device. An effectivity selector allows the user to select a set of aircraft for modification. A purchaser is allowed to select a specific adornment from an on-line source, and print a single part or multiple parts thereof in the form of a reliable representation of the subject article. The purchaser may then place the representation on his or her wrist, ankle, arm, etc., in order to gauge and assess the look, placement, and size thereof, in accordance with his or her own tastes and needs. In one aspect of the present invention, as the user continues to navigate the website, the process is repeated. As new social events of the user are identified, the product recommendations for the user are modified. In this manner, real-time social events of the user can be used to dynamically modify the product recommendations presented to the user.

First-level features including context features are computed based upon context data. Second-level features are computed based upon the context data and list features based upon the list of proposed item recommendations and the corresponding predictions generated by the first-level machine learning model. The notification is validated to generate a completed service request, and information in the completed service request is sent from the service administrator to an approver of a fleet operations unit. The completed service request is approved at the fleet operations unit, and a purchase order is generated and transmitted from the fleet operations unit to the service administrator.

For example, a mother and her children can walk independently through the store and select items. Upon checkout, the items selected by the mother and children can all be charged to the mother's credit card in a single purchase. The system and method discussed herein can capture images of multiple shoppers from one or more video streams of a store area, can associate the multiple shoppers with one another from the captured images when the multiple shoppers appear together in a check-in area of the store, can track the movement of the multiple shoppers within the store from the captured images, can track items selected by the multiple shoppers from the captured images, and can initiate a transaction that charges the selected items to an account associated with one of the multiple shoppers.

Abstract: There is disclosed a method and system for determining the credit worthiness of a borrower. The method comprises receiving a loan application from a prospective borrower. Transaction history for the prospective borrower is retrieved. A category is determined for each transaction in the transaction history. Transaction data metrics are determined for each category. A first machine learning algorithm (MLA) uses the transaction data metrics to predict a likelihood that the loan application will be approved. A second MLA uses the transaction data metrics to predict a likelihood that the loan will be repaid. The loan is approved or denied based on the predicted likelihoods.
