Abstract: The invention discloses a carrot drying and crushing integrated apparatus, which includes a working box and a feeding port located in the working box, the feeding port is opened upward, and the working box is fixedly provided with the feeding box. A shattering cavity under the mouth, a shattering device is provided in the shattering cavity, and a stirring and drying cavity located under the shattering cavity is fixed in the working box, and the stirring and drying cavity is provided in the working box. There is a stirring and drying device. The working box is provided with a pulverizing cavity located below the stirring and drying cavity. The present invention simplifies the processing and drying of carrots by using an integrated device in one step. This step saves processing costs. For the problem that the inside of the carrot is difficult to dry and the drying degree is inconsistent, the device solves the above problems by cutting and drying, and grinds the carrot directly through the pulverizing device.

Abstract: An apparatus is configured to apply a treatment agent to an agricultural byproduct. The apparatus includes a fragmenting chamber where the agricultural byproduct is fragmented into particles. An initial amount of a treatment agent is applied to the byproduct in the fragmenting chamber. Particles of a desired size flow through a screen from the fragmenting chamber to a recovery zone. A second amount of the treatment agent is applied to the particles in the recovery zone. A regulator regulates the amount of the treatment agent applied to the particles in the fragmenting chamber and the amount of treatment agent applied in the in the recovery zone. The regulation may be based on one or more feedback mechanisms.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for predicting a neurological injury to a participant in an activity. The activity can be, for example, an athletic activity that involves repeated, high-impact collisions between participants. Sensor data reflecting interactions between participants in the activity is received from various wearable and non-wearable sensors. The sensor data is evaluated in conjunction with a baseline neurological risk profile of a participant to determine a likelihood that the participant has suffered a potential neurological injury. If this likelihood meets a threshold risk level, an onsite request/response test is initiated to glean more information relating to the participant's condition. Response data associated with the onsite test is cognitively evaluated to determine an updated likelihood of neurological injury to the participant and a follow-up action is determined based on the updated likelihood of neurological injury.

Abstract: The subject matter of the present disclosure relates, in various embodiments, to improved footwear in the nature of sandals, shoes, sports shoes, running and jogging shoes, civilian and military boots, work boots and work shoes, water shoes, waders, and the like, for personal use in walking on sand and other granular terrain, each item of footwear comprising a distinctively profiled outsole. A left outsole profile is defined by a first radius, and a right outsole profile is defined by a second radius. A line connecting the center of each radius passes through and defines the centers of the side profiles of the outsole. A preferred toe-out or progressive angle of approximately six degrees helps ensure that the outsole, during use, is near the widest position for optimal left and right side balance.

Abstract: A method of forming a castless orthotic for a patient's foot in need thereof. The method comprises preparing an orthotic template for the foot wherein the template extends between a heel end and a toe end. In preparing the template the steps of attaching a three-quarter length or full length upper thermoplastic material to a or three-quarter length lower thermoplastic material, or providing a thermoplastic material having a variable thickness such that said thickness decreases from said heel end to said toe end is provided. Then attaching an outer lower layer to the lower thermoplastic material and attaching an outer upper layer to the upper thermoplastic material, or attaching an outer layer to each face of the variable thickness thermoplastic material and heating the prepared orthotic template for a predetermined period of time at a predetermined temperature to soften the orthotic template. A wrap is then placed on top of the foot foam and the foot of the patient is placed on top of the wrap and foot foam.

The footwear apparatus defines a z-axis through the secondary cavity and substantially normal to a ground surface, a y-axis extending substantially from the secondary cavity to the primary cavity, and an x-axis substantially normal to a plane created by the z-axis and the y-axis. The midsole is configured to rotate substantially about the x-axis, rotate substantially about the y-axis, to resist rotation substantially about the z-axis. The footwear apparatus is adaptive to a around surface orientation on which the wearer walks and to rotational movements of the wearers body.
