The elongated flange has a thickness commensurable with corresponding thickness of each of the wall forming panels. A segment of the elongated flange protruding outwards each lateral side equalizes with the thickness of each wall forming panels. An elongated rail, made of plastic material has, relatively, a lesser thickness than the thickness of each of the forming panels, provides a longitudinal and transverse flexibility and internally is so configured as to engage a pair of elongated flanges, perpendicularly positioned and in contact.

Each end of the end piece is shaped to attach to an end of a side piece and is shaped to maintain a width between the side pieces. A length of an area formed by the side pieces and end pieces is sized to accommodate a maximum length of each component. The components have a height that is an integer number of standard units and a height of the side pieces matches an integral number of the standard units.

The package is easily resealed by folding the exposed pressure sensitive adhesive layer to adhere to the outer surface of the package.

When the flap is pulled, it ruptures the line of weakness and creates an opening to allow access to the at least one consumable product.

More specifically, the disclosure relates to a fitment for attaching a liner within a container and providing a fluid path from the liner to an outside of the containment system. The liner and at least a part of the fitment provide the wetted surfaces for the containment system, while the fitment has a portion that can be joined to an outer container that, for example, provides rigidity and light protection. The fitment may be a two-piece fitment with a liner fitment to which the liner may be joined, and a retainer that may be joined to a container, where the liner fitment and the retainer are joined to one another, for example by a mechanical connection. The liner and liner fitment may be fluoropolymers or other non-reactive polymers. The container and retainer may be UV-blocking polymers.
