Abstract: Light-generating fusion proteins having a ligand binding site and a light-generating polypeptide moiety and their use as diagnostics, in drug screening and discovery, and as therapeutics, are disclosed. The light-generating fusion protein has a feature where the bioluminescence of the polypeptide moiety changes upon binding of a ligand at the ligand binding site. The ligand may be, for example, an enzyme present in an environment only under certain conditions, e.g., ubiquitin ligase in a hypoxic state, such that the light-generating fusion protein is “turned on” only under such conditions.

  • Publication number: 20200209258
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for binding or capturing autoantibodies directed to various Glycoprotein 2 (GP2) isoforms. In particular the invention provides an in vitro method for the diagnosis of an autoimmune disorder by the detection of autoantibodies that bind one or more isoforms of GP2. The invention is characterized by the provision of multiple isoforms of GP2 as autoantibody targets and encompasses the practical utilization of the finding that the isoform specificity of anti-GP2 autoantibodies enables determination of particular autoimmune diseases. The invention also provides a system and kit developed for carrying out the claimed method. The present invention is useful for determining whether a sample from an individual comprises autoantibodies associated with an autoimmune disease, and for differentiating between multiple autoimmune diseases that exhibit similar symptoms, such as Celiac disease (CeD), Crohn's disease (CD), primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), and/or ulcerative colitis (UC).

A dispensing operation of the input dispensing volume is automatically performed for each designated dispensing mechanism. A reaction vessel contains, for example, a reagent of the input dispensing volume which has been dispensed by the designated dispensing mechanism. By measuring a weight of the reagent in the reaction vessel, or the like, it is possible to measure the dispensing accuracy of the designated dispensing mechanism.

Abstract: Using a global optimization, a cycle within a frame buffer including frames corresponding to one or more cycles of query activity sequences is detected. The detection includes creating a plurality of cycle segmentations by recursively iterating through the frame buffer to identify candidate cycles corresponding to cycles of a reference activity sequence until the frame buffer lacks sufficient frames to create additional cycles, computing segmentation errors for each of the plurality of cycle segmentations, and identifying the detected cycle as the one of the plurality of cycle segmentations having a lowest segmentation error. Cycle duration data for the detected cycle is generated. Frames belonging to the detected cycle are removed from the frame buffer. The cycle duration data is output.

Abstract: Motion windows are generated from a query activity sequence. For each of the motion windows in the query activity sequence, a corresponding motion window in the reference activity sequence is found. One or more difference calculations are performed between the motion windows of the query activity sequence and the corresponding motion windows in the reference activity sequence based on at least one criterion associated with physical meaning. Abnormality of the motion windows is determined based on the one or more difference calculations. A standardized evaluation result of the query activity sequence is output based on the detected abnormal motion windows in the query activity sequence.

The first shielding box has a first chamber. The chuck is located in the first chamber to hold a device under test. The stage connects to the chuck to move the chuck. The second shielding box is outside the first shielding box and forms a second chamber with the first shielding box. The first and the second shielding boxes shield against an electromagnetic field. The electronic testing instrument is inside the second chamber. The manipulator is outside the first shielding box and has a probe arm penetrating into the first chamber. The probe arm is movable by the manipulator to hold a probe to contact the device under test. The cable connects between the electronic testing instrument and the probe.

Abstract: A prober head to interface an E-testing apparatus to a device under test, which may be an unpackaged die, for example. In some embodiments, the prober head includes an array of conductive pins, each of the pins extending outwardly from a first pin end anchored to a substrate. At least a partial length of each of the pins is coated with a hydrophobic monolayer. The conductive pins may be composite metal wires including a core metal encased by one or more peripheral metal. At a tip of the pins, opposite the first pin end anchored to the substrate, the peripheral metals are recessed from the core metal. In further embodiments, the hydrophobic monolayer is disposed on an outer surface of the peripheral metals, but is substantially absent from a surface of the core metal exposed at the tip.

Abstract: An oscilloscope including an input port for receiving training data including waveforms and corresponding known classifications and a processor for training a plurality of classifiers on the training data. Training includes iteratively applying each classifier to each waveform of the training data to obtain corresponding predicted waveform classifications and comparing the predicted waveform classifications with the known classifications. Classifiers are corrected when predicted waveform classifications does not match the known classifications. Models for each classification are constructed with suggested measurements or actions. Subsequently, live waveform data is captured by the oscilloscope and the classifiers are applied to the live data. When a confidence value for a single classification exceeds a threshold, the waveform data is classified, and suggested measurements or actions are implemented in the oscilloscope based on the classification.
