Abstract: Two problems with existing electronically controlled mixing valves for domestic use is their size and difficulty accessing and repairing them. Their size means that they often become hidden behind wall linings, and because of the way in which they are plumbed into the pipework of a house, they are difficult to access and remove for repair or replacement. Disclosed is a compact and replaceable mixing valve cartridge that can be mated to a fixed fitting that is permanently plumbed into the pipework of a house. The compact size allows the cartridge to be positioned behind the type of removable face plates that are often installed over existing manually operated mixing valves. Simplified valve actuators and a compact mixing and temperature sensing configuration have facilitated the compact size. The valve cartridge can simply be accessed, unbolted and removed, without the need for extensive plumbing re-work.

Abstract: A reference voltage generator comprises: an amplifier; a capacitor network including one or more capacitors; and a switch control circuit to control connectivity of the capacitor network with respect to the input/output nodes of the amplifier. During operation, the switch control circuit controls connectivity of a first capacitor (in the capacitor network) in and out of a feedback path of the amplifier to produce a substantially constant reference voltage. For example, the reference voltage generator provides input offset voltage correction of the amplifier via repeatedly switching between: i) a first mode in which the first capacitor is absent from the feedback path of the amplifier during charging of the first capacitor, and ii) a second mode of inserting the charged first capacitor into the feedback path of the amplifier. Correction of the input offset voltage of the amplifier results in generation of a more accurate reference voltage over temperature.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for isolation of sub-system resources (such as clocks, power, and reset) within independent domains. In one embodiment, each sub-system of a system has one or more dedicated power and clock domains that operate independent of other sub-system operation. For example, in an exemplary mobile device with cellular, WLAN and PAN connectivity, each such sub-system is connected to a common memory mapped bus function, yet can operate independently. The disclosed architecture advantageously both satisfies the power consumption limitations of mobile devices, and concurrently provides the benefits of memory mapped connectivity for high bandwidth applications on such mobile devices.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a power control circuit for an execute circuit is configured to monitor power consumption of operations in a pipeline of the execute circuit and potential changes in power consumption if new operations are issued into the pipeline. The power control circuit may be configured to inhibit issuance of a given operation if the change in power consumption is greater than a maximum increase. A decaying average of previous power consumptions may be maintained and compared to the potential increase in power consumption to control the rate of change in power consumption over time.

Abstract: To achieve a reduction of power consumption by stopping an inter-node data input/output process and node processing by autonomous control of each node without using a management table. Included are a data processing unit that performs predetermined processing on data input from an upstream node; and a data output management unit that outputs, to a downstream node, the data on which the predetermined processing has been performed in the data processing unit, and monitors a state of the downstream node. The data output management unit controls the data processing unit to stop the data processing in a case of detecting that there is no downstream node using the output data. The stop of node processing and inter-node data input/output are performed upstream in a chain manner.

The first bypass switch is coupled in series between a first end and a second end of a first chip among the chips, wherein the first end is coupled to the power end and the second end is coupled to the reference ground end. The first bypass switch is turned on according to a first control signal when an operational efficiency of the first chip is less than a threshold value and the first chip is determined to be damaged.

When a first power to be provided to the first cluster based on the first voltage is lower than a first available power of the first cluster and a second power to be provided to the second cluster based on the second voltage is higher than a second available power of the second cluster, the controller outputs a first interrupt signal such that a level of the second voltage is adjusted based on a sum of the first power and the second power and a first threshold value determined based on the first available power and the second available power.
