Abstract: A hardened portion in a vehicle structure has an almost hemispherical shape around a lower surface side of a bottom wall rear portion in a vehicle upper-lower direction, the lower surface side serving as a center of a curvature. As the hardened portion is formed, a direction of tensile stress generated in the hardened portion is a radial direction in which the center of the curvature serves as a center side. Thus, occurrence of tensile stress in directions opposite to each other by which a specific part within the hardened portion is pulled apart in a direction orthogonal to the thickness direction of the bottom wall rear portion is inhibited.

This propulsion results in the forward movement and six degrees of motion (roll, heave, pitch, yaw, surge, and sway) of the marine vessel. This invention capitalizes on the fact that solar, wind and wave energy are cyclical by nature. The present invention enables the vessel to manage stored and harvested energy from these energy sources and use the stored energy during periods when the external natural sources of energy are not available in adequate quantities to maintain a reasonable speed of advance for the marine vessel. The vessel's natural energy management system (NEMS) manages it in such a way that harvesting of the energy during high energy cycles, storing it and using it when needed during low external energy cycles, allows a marine vessel to maintain faster average speed without reliance on any fossil or chemical fuel and by only using renewable energy sources.

Abstract: A door arrangement for an aircraft segment, which door arrangement comprises a passenger door, a fuselage portion accommodating the passenger door, and a girt bar for arming and disarming an emergency slide. The passenger door is movable relative to the fuselage portion between a raised position and a lowered position. The girt bar is connectable by means of a connecting arrangement to the passenger door and/or to the fuselage portion. The connecting arrangement comprises a mechanism which is configured to, during arming of the emergency slide, actuate a locking mechanism of an engagement device fastened to the fuselage portion, in such a way that the girt bar is fixed in a decouplable manner to the engagement device.

The spacer panel includes a core layer and a bottom layer. The core layer has a top face and a bottom face and the bottom layer has a lower face and an upper face that is bonded to the bottom face of the core layer. The lower face of the bottom layer is located adjacent to a structural floor and the bottom layer slides over the structural floor. The one or more flooring panels connect to the top face of the core layer, where the flooring panel and the spacer panel slide over the structural floor. Two or more flooring panels can be connected, such as by an adhesive material, to a spacer panel with a sealant member between the flooring panels to avoid infiltrations of liquids.
