  • Patent number: 10837130
Abstract: The described incandescent tension annealing processes involve thermally annealing twisted or coiled carbon nanotube (CNT) yarns at high-temperatures (1000° C. to 3000° C.) while these yarns are under tensile loads. These processes can be used for increasing yarn modulus and strength and for stabilizing both twisted and coiled CNT yarns with respect to unwanted irreversible untwist, thereby avoiding the need to tether torsional and tensile artificial muscles, and increasing the mechanical loads that can be moved by these muscles.

  • Patent number: 10837134
Abstract: A washing machine and a method of controlling the same are disclosed. The amount of laundry that is introduced into the washing machine is measured using gravity and inertia applied during the operation of a motor, whereby it is possible to precisely calculate the amount of laundry and to minimize the effects of the initial position of the laundry and the movement of the laundry. In addition, a current value of the motor that is operated is used to measure the amount of laundry without a sensor. Furthermore, precision in determining the amount of laundry is improved, and the amount of laundry is determined within a short time. Consequently, it is easy to commence the spin-drying operation, thereby reducing washing time and saving energy.

The control system includes a sanitary sewage basin system and a storm water sump pit installed in the basement floor. A sewage pump in the sewage basin pumps sewage through a discharge pipe extending to the exterior of the basement wall for discharge into an open end of an above ground vertical sanitary sewer line adjacent an exterior basement wall. The control system further includes a storm water sump pit installed in the basement floor. A sump pump in the sump pit pumps storm water through a discharge pipe extending to the exterior of the basement wall for discharge into an open end of an above ground vertical storm sewer line adjacent the exterior basement wall.

  • Patent number: 10837167
Abstract: A system of construction that performs advanced prefabrication of columns—beams type structure of buildings, prefabrication which results industrialization of this type of construction. The main development that allows this achievement in the same technical conditions, even better conditions than in the conventional system, is the massive use of braces as well vertically as horizontally. Such a building system is of special interest in areas where seismic risk is high because the building is very lightweight, constituted of a set of structurally self-sufficient units, heavily triangulated and therefore hardly deformable, all these at an affordable cost.

Abstract: Provided are a textile-reinforced concrete structure using a textile grid fixing device and a construction method therefor. A textile grid is precisely disposed at a predetermined position between a mold and a main reinforcing bar using a textile grid fixing device so as to be prevented from being moved by a pouring pressure when concrete is poured, and thus a textile-reinforced concrete structure can be precisely constructed. The textile grid fixing device is fixed to one side of the mold, and the textile-reinforced concrete structure is constructed using the textile grid fixing device such that fine cracks are suppressed from being generated on a surface of concrete. Further, a surface of a concrete structure is protected from an external environment when the textile-reinforced concrete structure is constructed so that a covering thickness of concrete can be reduced, and thus, the textile-reinforced concrete structure can be economically constructed.
