  • Patent number: 10837641
Abstract: The present invention provides a burner, a combustor equipped with the burner, and a gas turbine, with which it is possible to premix a first hydrocarbon-based fuel (for example, natural gas), a second fuel (for example, hydrogen gas), and combustion air, and to spray into the combustion chamber of the combustor a thin and uniform concentration distribution of the premixed air, and with which it is possible to suppress the amount of NOx discharged. On the upstream side of the premix flow path, hydrogen gas is sprayed from second fuel spray nozzles, which project into the premix flow path, into the flow of the combustion air flowing toward the center from the outer edge of an outer cylinder, whereby a primary air-fuel mixture having a uniform concentration distribution is generated without affecting a low-speed region of the combustion air.

  • Patent number: 10837644
Abstract: A tool kit for decoupling a telescoping tube from a first liner of a gas turbine engine is disclosed. The tool kit includes a base plate coupled to a combustor casing. A post extends outward from the base plate into a combustion chamber defined by the liner. A plunger slidably mounts to the post and is slidable between an extended position and a retracted position. A lever arm pivotably couples to the post and the plunger. Pivoting the lever arm in a first direction slides the plunger to the extended position to decouple the telescoping tube from the liner. A retaining clip couples to the combustor casing and extends into an annular plenum at least partially defined between the liner and the combustor casing. The retaining clip defines a notch that receives the telescoping tube after the plunger assembly decouples the telescoping tube from the liner.

Abstract: A safety system and method to prevent water within a top portion of a tank of an electric water heater to drop below a safe temperature during a load shedding period, other than a full emergency grid failure, by a power provider whereby to prevent the propagation of harmful bacteria in a top portion the tank. A control device monitors the water temperature in the top portion of the tank by the use of a temperature sensor. If the control device detects a temperature of the water in the top portion of the tank inferior to 140 degrees F., it will by-pass the instructions of the power provider and connect power to one or more of the resistive heating elements of the tank until a predetermined temperature above 140 degrees F. is attained before switching off the resistive heating elements.
