Abstract: A capsule opening assembly for opening a used capsule is provided. The capsule body has an opening and extends about a longitudinal capsule axis, defining a chamber closed by a lid. The assembly includes a used capsule cutting device having a knife or cutting blade; a used capsule blocking device grasping the used capsule in a predetermined position defining a locking seat and leaving exposed the capsule opening closed by the lid; a used capsule moving device having a carriage supporting the used capsule blocking device. The carriage moves the used capsule blocking device with respect to the used capsule cutting device. Relative movement occurs along a predetermined path including at least one linear stretch directed along a direction parallel to or coincident with the longitudinal capsule axis. The knife, during movement along the linear path stretch, cuts a lid portion along a predetermined line to open the capsule chamber.

Abstract: Thermal treatment techniques for recycling are generally very clean but their byproducts include a fine ash that may become entrained in the exhaust air plume as smoke. We therefore disclose a materials recycling apparatus comprising a heat treatment chamber for processing the material at an elevated temperature, the chamber having a vent leading via a heat exchanger to a scrubber comprising a disrupted flow path, at least one spray nozzle directed towards the disrupted flow path, and a supply of liquid (ideally water with a little detergent) to the or each spray nozzle. In this way, the entrained ash can be efficiently removed from the air flow, allowing it to be vented, and the captured ash disposed of via a waste water outlet together with the ash washed from the chamber. The flow path can be disrupted by at least one baffle plate, ideally with the spray nozzle located ahead of the baffle plate(s).

Abstract: An on-site heavy metal contaminated soil treatment apparatus, comprising a sampling system, a molding system, a heat processing system and a tail gas processing system disposed in sequence. The sampling system includes a bucket elevator and a planetary stirring device which are connected in sequence and are disposed on a mobile platform of the sampling system. The apparatus is easy to move and assemble, has a small floor area, and can be built on a target contaminated site, reducing transportation costs and the risk of secondary contamination. The entire process performed by the apparatus proceeds automatically, reducing labor costs. The planetary stirring sampling method and automatic brick blank extrusion molding process of the apparatus are applicable to various types of heavy metal contaminated soil providing high processing efficiency and good molding effect. Combined microwave heating and high-temperature steam heating provide rapid heating, small thermal inertia, and easy temperature control.

Abstract: The invention relates to a steel-plate descaling device, including several steel-plate surface descalers and several steel-plate side-surface descalers disposed along the direction of a flow line as well as a trolley rail disposed in parallel to one side of the flow line. At least one roller-changing vehicle slides back and forth on the rail. The roller-changing vehicle is provided with a roller-changing mechanism. When the roller-changing vehicle slides to a front side of the steel-plate surface descaler, the roller-changing mechanism extends into the inner part of the steel-plate surface descaler to change the roller. The oxide scale of the steel-plate surface is removed physically, having low pollution and high descaling efficiency without a blind spot, and simultaneously having a high degree of automation in replacing the descaling roller through the roller-changing vehicle, saving both time and effort.

A descaling roller for removing an oxide scale from a surface of a steel wire is disposed on each of the first steel wire descaler and the second steel wire descaler. The descaling roller of the first steel wire descaler is disposed inclinedly, the descaling roller of the second steel wire descaler is disposed horizontally. By inclinedly brushing the steel wire by using the first steel wire descaler and flatly brushing the steel wire by using the second steel wire descaler, the combination of flat brushing and inclined brushing allows oxide scales to be from steel wires without a blind spot.

The forge also includes a horizontal master gear mounted on a circular thrust bearing to provide rotational freedom. One or more radial hydraulically drive rams are mounted to the master gear. Accordingly, the master gear serves as a gantry for positioning the radial rams. A billet may be centrally located between the inwardly directed radial rams and may be supported by the lower ram. The upper ram is aligned with the lower ram so that actuating the upper ram and/or lower ram compresses the billet between them and forces the billet to flow into and fill radial dies removably affixed to the radial rams.
