Abstract: Drying and/or cleaning cloth has an elongated shape with a double-layered construction. Two sides are formed by cloth layers with an interior region in-between. The two sides are each bounded by two parallel longitudinal edges and two transverse edges. An opening is for reaching into the interior region between the two sides. The drying and/or cleaning cloth has a pentagonally configured region. In the pentagonally configured region one of the two transverse edges is aligned at right angles to the longitudinal edges and the other of the two transverse edges is formed by two angularly abutting front edge sections adjoining the corresponding longitudinal edges at an obtuse angle. The opening for reaching into the interior region between the two sides is provided in the region of the transverse edge aligned at right angles to the longitudinal edges.

Abstract: A sheath for an oximetry device includes a top and a body where the top opens to provide an opening where the oximetry device can be placed into the body of the sheath. The top of the sheath can be closed onto the body and the closure of the top can be verified by circuits in the oximetry device. The circuits can monitor the position of a latch that is connected to the top of the sheath. The circuits can determine when the latch is unlatched and the top is open and not sealed closed to the body. And, the circuits can determine when the latch is latched and the top is closed and sealed to the body.

Abstract: A method includes increasing or decreasing a temperature of an oximeter device by cycling oximetry measurements and temperature adjustment at a predetermined frequency. During temperature adjustment, power supplied to LEDs of the oximeter device may be modulated to heat or cool the oximeter device if the oximetry device is above a temperature setpoint or below the temperature setpoint. After the device is heated to the temperature setpoint an oximetry measurement is made using the LED to illuminate patient tissue, detected the light from the tissue after illumination, and determining oximetry information for the tissue. Using the LED for heating and oximetry measurements reduces electronic components of the device improves reliability from the reduction of electronic components. The device can also not power the LEDs to allow the device to cool if the temperature is above the temperature setpoint.

Abstract: In the present invention, a right leg drive RLD monitoring system is employed on a medical computing system/computer, such as an ECG, HEMO and/or EP monitoring, mapping and/or recording system, that includes a number of RLD circuits to be utilized for different procedures or monitoring states to be performed using the system. The RLD monitoring system operates to actively monitor and/or record the feedback voltage to the RLD isolated from the patient. Using the measured feedback voltage data, the RLD monitoring system can identify and determine if the RLD circuit in use is approaching saturation, has reached saturation and the duration the RLD circuit was in saturation. The RLD monitoring system can concurrently and/or subsequently select and/or provide selection information regarding an optimal RLD circuit to be utilized to most effectively perform the desired function of the RLD in the procedure being performed using the monitoring, mapping and/or recording system.

Abstract: A wireless radio frequency triggered signal acquisition device includes three orthogonal pick up coils in which voltages will be induced by a time varying, spatially varying magnetic field inside a chamber of an MRI scanner. A radio frequency detection circuit detects radio frequency pulses emitted by an MRI scanner and a wireless transmission circuit transmits data from the device, A 3-axis magnetometer is used for measuring magnetic flux in the chamber of the MRI scanner. A processor uses the detected radio frequency pulses to synchronize measurements taken by the magnetometer and pick-up coils to a time frame of a gradient driver hardware, thereby matching the measurements to a pulse sequence waveform. The processor further combines measurements of induced voltages in the orthogonal pick up coils and the magnetic flux with the pulse sequence waveform in order to solve for the instantaneous position and orientation of the device.

Abstract: An on-body sensor system (30) comprises means for determining a position of a skin interface unit (34) based on transmission and receipt of electrical signals to the unit from a known transmitter (32) location, transmitted via electrical channels of the body. By comparing sensed signal characteristics of the received signals with a plurality of sets of pre-determined signal characteristics, each set associated with one of a plurality of different reference positions and/or orientations of the receiver (34) on the body, it is possible to derive an indication of the position of the receiver unit on the body.

Abstract: A method, including receiving, from electrodes positioned within a heart, first signals from at least three of the electrodes indicating electrical activity in tissue with which the at least three of the electrodes engage, and second signals indicating locations of the at least three electrodes. The second signals are processed to compute the locations of the at least three electrodes and to determine a geometric center of the locations. Based on the signals, an electroanatomical map is generated for an area of the tissue including the geometric center, and an arrhythmia focus is determined in the map. A circle is presented, and within the circle, a region of the map is presented including the geometric center and the focus so that the geometric center on the map aligns with a center of the circle, the region within the circle indicating a spatial relationship between the geometric center and the focus.
