Abstract: A wearable out loud (WOL) loudspeaker system is disclosed to allow un-occluded audio listening during various sporting activities. In various examples the WOL loudspeaker system may be coupled to or integrated with a helmet and configured such that the wearer may hear the out loud audio while spillage of audio to nearby bystanders is reduced.

Abstract: A braided article of footwear and a method is provided for forming a braided article of footwear. The method includes braiding a unitary braided upper (100) having at least a main body (120) and independently braiding at least one braided lace (122, 124, 160, 164) while braiding the unitary upper (100). At a lace integration portion (130) of the unitary braided upper (100), the method includes integrating the at least one braided lace (122, 124, 160, 164) into the unitary braided upper (100).

Abstract: Shoes have an upper which is highly breathable and made of air-permeable materials. A barrier is attached to the sole with a water-tight bond and circumscribes the shoes. The barrier is impermeable to wind and water. Optionally, the barrier is present only in a front section of the shoes, in which case the barrier terminal ends are bonded to to an outer surface of the shoe. The barrier extends upwardly from the sole about 0.5-6 inches. The barrier may be curved such that it extends over a front section of the shoe, optionally following the shape of the upper. The barrier provides significant protection from wind and water, but does not greatly impair breathability of the upper.

Abstract: The disclosure provides gait modification or treatment apparatus, systems and methods that are appropriate for everyday life, have a significant mechanical effect, and provide a mechanism for tracking the compliance and performance of the patient to allow for individualized management of a gait modification prescription or treatment plan or sequence. Abstract: Article and method are provided to increase surface friction and gription of shoelaces and bootlaces to prevent untying of the knots of shoelaces and bootlaces and make the surfaces of the shoelaces and bootlaces bitter in taste to deter pets from chewing them. An applicator comprising a wax-based compound formulated from vegetable oils, beeswax, coconut oil and bitter apple extract increases the surface friction and gription of shoelaces and bootlaces as well as make them bitter in taste for pets when applied on the surfaces of the shoelaces and bootlaces. The wax-based compound of the applicator may also function as water and moisture repellant on the surfaces of footwear, garments, and sports equipment in addition to shoe and boot laces under all types of conditions and climates.
