The sensor assembly includes an adapter that defines a plurality of sensor ports for receiving different sensors, such as a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, and a turbidity sensor. The adapter is translucent to facilitate turbidity sensing without introducing leak points. In addition, the adapter defines an internal chamber for receiving the wash fluid and an air chamber defined above the internal chamber to prevent direct contact between the wash fluid and the pressure sensor.

Abstract: An image signal processing device includes: a base component extractor that generates an original base component signal; a base component adjuster that generates a first base component signal by performing weighted average processing; a detail component extractor that generates a first detail component signal based on the first base component signal; a relative emphasizer that outputs a second base component signal and a second detail component signal by relatively emphasizing the first detail component signal to the first base component signal; a combiner that generates a combined image signal by combining the second base component signal and the second detail component signal; and a storage that stores control parameters regarding similarity between the image signal and the first base component signal. The base component adjuster generates the first base component signal by performing the weighted average processing by using a weight coefficient determined in accordance with selected control parameter.

A manually and robotically controllable medical instrument can include an elongated shaft articulable by pull wires. The elongated shaft can be connected to an instrument handle that attaches to an instrument drive mechanism. The instrument handle can include a pulley assembly on which the pull wires can be mounted. Rotation of the pulley assembly can actuate the pull wires to cause articulation of the elongated shaft.
