Abstract: This invention features magnetic, laundry tolerant, no-sew button adapters that convert traditional shirt buttons into magnetic closures to help people with dexterity limitations. The adapters simply attach to any shirt to help make getting dressed easier and a restore a crucial activity of daily living. Users can simply push the lapels of a shirt together to engage magnetic force, activating the buttons to snap into place. The shirt can be opened easily by pulling the lapels apart to undress.

The two-part magnetic clip includes a clip body and a post that is separate from, and completely detachable from, the clip body, the post not being integrally formed with the clip body. The clip body and post are configured to magnetically mate with one another with a portion of an attaching material captured between them. Each clip body is formed to include at least one loop for attaching a connector, decorative element or tying material to the clip body.

A first applicator extends laterally from the first applicator support and a second applicator extends laterally from the second applicator support, and are fixed in parallel such that they come together when the first applicator support is urged toward the second applicator support by the slider cable.

Abstract: A stitch ripping assembly for hands free stitch ripping includes a base that is positionable on a support surface. The base is rounded and is elongated along a longitudinal axis such that the base has an ovoid shape. Additionally, the base has a prominence extending upwardly therefrom. A gripping pad is coupled to the base and the gripping pad is comprised of an adhesive material to inhibit the base from sliding on the support surface. A stitch ripper is pivotally coupled to the base. The stitch ripper is positionable to extend upwardly from the base at a plurality of angles. In this way the stitch ripper can rip stitches without being held by a user.

Abstract: An attaching apparatus, which attaches an attachment object to a fabric using a fastening member, includes at least one pair of first holding members configured to hold an attachment object; and a first die configured to hold the attachment object at a terminal of a die main body. The first die moves such that the attachment object, held at the at least one pair of first holding members, is held at the terminal of the die main body and then the attachment object is placed onto the fabric. The attachment object is transferred from the at least one pair of first holding members to the first die at a position distanced away from the fabric.

Abstract: A suspension band assembly to be used to support a hard hat on a head of a user. The suspension band assembly includes a primary support loop to receive the head of the user therein. An electronic peripheral is fixedly secured to the primary support loop. An attachment strap extends out from the primary support loop to a strap distal end. An anchor is fixedly secured to the strap distal end for securing the attachment strap to the hard hat. An electrical anchor contact is fixedly secured to the anchor to provide an electrical connection between the hard hat and the electronic peripheral located on the primary support loop.

Abstract: A system is provided for use by athletes and their coaches during practice. The system includes an electronic system configured for inclusion in a helmet. The electronic system includes a transparent display screen coupled to the helmet, a processor coupled to the transparent display screen, a camera coupled to the processor and a first wireless transceiver coupled to the processor. The system also includes a handheld processing device. The handheld processing device includes a second wireless transceiver configured to communicate video content with the first wireless transceiver, an interactive display screen configured to display the first video and a video editing application configured to edit the first video to generate a second video including a simulated player technique superimposed in the first video. The second video is communicated from the handheld processing device to the electronic system for display to the athlete via the transparent display screen.

Abstract: An adjustable jaw flap is provided that may be selectively attachable with the ear flap of a batter's helmet used in batted ball sports such as baseball or softball. The jaw flap may include each of an adaptor member and a flap member. The adaptor member may be attached to the batter's helmet at or near the helmet's ear flap. The flap member may be attached to the adaptor member at its lower end by a pin. An interior portion of the flap member preferably includes male attachment points that may be selectively attachable with female attachment points found at the upper portion of the adaptor member's exterior. When the flap member is rotated, more or fewer attachment points may be selectively engaged with one another, thus allowing a user to adjust the relative position of the jaw flap.

Abstract: A helmet for receiving the head of a hockey or lacrosse player, the helmet having an outer shell and an inner lining covering at least partially the inner surface of the outer shell. In one embodiment, the helmet comprises a skeleton at least partially covered by the inner lining, a movable occipital pad and movable temple pads. The inner lining can be made of an absorptive material such as foam, expanded polypropylene or expanded polyethylene and can be overmolded onto the skeleton. The occipital pad and the temple pads may be arranged with an inward bias so as to help the helmet self-adjust to provide an advantageous fit on the player's head. In some embodiments, the outer shell and skeleton, or the outer shell and the inner lining, cooperate to define a ventilation system.

The shoe cover sole is connected with the bottom of the shoe cover upper. A second elastic ring is provided at where the shoe cover upper connects the shoe cover sole. Abstract: A device for analyzing and treating tonal imperfections on human skin. The device, or apparatus has an applicator comprising a head and one or more nozzles, preferably the nozzles are arranged in an array. The apparatus further has a reservoir comprising a skin treatment composition, a sensor, and a CPU. The sensor takes an image of at least 10 ?m2 of skin. The CPU analyzes the image to calculate a localized L value of individual pixels or group of pixels. The CPU then compares the local L value to a background L value to identify one or more skin deviations, and wherein the sensor is in wireless communication with the CPU, and wherein the CPU is adjacent the sensor or is remotely located. Further, the sensor may be enclosed within an apparatus handle and the CPU is either within the handle or external to the handle. In another embodiment of this invention, there are two or more CPUs and the sensor can be in wireless communication with none, one or more than one CPU.

The lateral and medial portions are joined together by a joining portion that acts as a cantilevered spring member, allowing the distal ends of the lateral and medial portions to move with respect to each other, but which biases the lateral and medial portions to a neutral position suitable for retaining the ear shield on a person's ear. There are articulating tabs further formed at the joining portion which extend to the rear, opposite the lateral and medial portions, that allow a user to move the lateral and medial portions relative to each other.

The head portion of the brush includes bristles that are positioned near openings that disperse the treatment product(s) stored within the handle. When product application is desired, a manual push or twist mechanism is engaged, which causes one or more products to pass through the openings to the bristles of the brush and onto the hair during normal combing. Different examples provide for the use of replaceable brush heads that can be adjusted to different hair texture and thickness, or type of hair styling. A replaceable product insert can use different viscous liquid solutions designed for different treatment. The authorization server device determines an authorized usage amount, and generates an activation token based on the authorized usage amount to be transmitted to the personal care device. By limiting activation of the personal care device based on consumable products obtained for use with the personal care device, the technical problems in overuse of some consumable products (such as brush heads) or underuse of other consumable products (such as serums or cleansers) can be avoided, and maximum results from use of the personal care devices can be easier to obtain.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the invention can be a system for determining toothbrush effectiveness, the system comprising a data capture subsystem comprising at least one sensor and configured to generate brushing data during a participant brushing session directed entirely by the participant. A brushing simulation subsystem includes a robotic arm configured to hold a toothbrush, and receive from at least one processor instructions for a motion to be carried out by the robotic arm. The motion of the robotic arm causes the toothbrush to carry out an automated brushing session upon the artificial teeth, the motion of the robotic arm being based on the brushing data captured during the participant brushing session. The at least one processor is further configured to determine an effectiveness of the toothbrush based on the substance determined to be removed from artificial teeth during an automated brushing session.
