Abstract: Systems and methods for automated and explainable machine learning to generate seamlessly actionable insights by generating explainable personas directly from customer relationship management systems are disclosed. The personas are defined as a collection of segments, scored by likelihood to generate good opportunities, accompanied ranked profile attribute importance, with descriptive names and summaries, associated human and database readable queries which have been generated to optimally find cluster candidates in a broader data universe. Such a system would effectively and accurately model the composition of past clients, perform the categorization in an explainable way such that actions can be taken on the information to have predictable results.

Abstract: A user device includes a processing unit that executes a search application. Executing the search application causes the processing unit to receive a user search query, send the user search query to a plurality of target applications, and receive a set of search results from each of the target applications. Each search result includes application state access data configured to access an application state of the target application associated with the search result. Executing the search application causes the processing unit to rank the search results, display the ranked search results, and detect user selection of one of the displayed search results. Additionally, executing the search application causes the processing unit to send the application state access data associated with the selected search result to the target application associated with the selected search result and display the application state accessed using the application state access data.

Abstract: Embodiments increase the efficiency of uploading data to a remote system. An expected volume of data for upload, is calculated prior to the actual load event. This calculation allows proactive allocation of resources (e.g., processing, memory, network, disk, others) available in the remote system, in order to accommodate the load being transferred. In certain embodiments, the calculation can be based upon historical data for previous load events. According to particular embodiments, the calculation can be based upon an estimated output data volume (such as parsing the output of EXPLAIN statement for PostgreSQL) or other information provided by data source(s) or an Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tool. Some embodiments may perform the transfer by first staging data for upload in temporary table(s) on the side of the ETL tool, prior to actually loading to the remote system. In such embodiments, record count(s) can provide a precise value of expected data load volume.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, computer program products, and systems. Embodiments of the present invention can extract of structured information for unstructured document analysis. Embodiments of the present invention can extract structured information for unstructured document analysis by identifying tables and columns of a database that correspond to business terms of a business glossary. Embodiments of the present invention can then receive a specification of business terms of interest for recognizing in an unstructured document. Embodiments of the present invention can then generate an analysis module based on the identified tables and columns that enables to identify or recognize attribute values of attributes of the tables and columns. Embodiments of the present invention can then use the analysis module for automatic extraction of values of at least part of the attributes from the unstructured document based on the specification of business terms of interest.

Abstract: A shared-nothing database system is provided in which parallelism and workload balancing are increased by assigning the rows of each table to “slices”, and storing multiple copies (“duplicas”) of each slice across the persistent storage of multiple nodes of the shared-nothing database system. When the data for a table is distributed among the nodes of a shared-nothing system in this manner, requests to read data from a particular row of the table may be handled by any node that stores a duplica of the slice to which the row is assigned. For each slice, a single duplica of the slice is designated as the “primary duplica”. All DML operations (e.g. inserts, deletes, updates, etc.) that target a particular row of the table are performed by the node that has the primary duplica of the slice to which the particular row is assigned. The changes made by the DML operations are then propagated from the primary duplica to the other duplicas (“secondary duplicas”) of the same slice.

Abstract: Techniques for the automatic creation and maintenance of zone maps are provided. In one technique, a set of data sets is identified. For each data set, a data set width is determined based on a maximum value in the data set and a minimum value in the data set. One or more zones within the data set are identified. For each zone, a zone width is determined based on a difference between a maximum value in that zone and a minimum value in that zone. An aggregate zone width is generated that is based on the zone width of each zone. Based on the data set width and the aggregate zone width, it is determined whether to automatically generate a zone map for the data set.

Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein provide for a system that can be configured to determine an identification (ID) of a computer processing unit (CPU) using one or more tests and/or measurements, intercept the result of a query from a process to determine the ID of the CPU, replace the result of the query if the result of the query does not match the determined ID of the CPU, and communicate the result of the query that includes the determined ID of the CPU to the process. In an example, the query is a CPUID opcode and the results of the query are intercepted after passing through a hypervisor.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, a computer program product, and a computer system for influence maximization on a social network. A computing device or server receives a graph of a social network and a user contextual tensor. With a tensor regression model, the computing device or server predicts activation probabilities of respective first users influencing respective second users, using a tensor inner product of the user contextual tensor and a susceptibility tensor and using an upper confidence bound. The computing device or server determines a set of seed users that maximizes influence in the social network, based on the activation probabilities. The computing device or server updates the susceptibility tensor by machine learning, based on user responses online and the user contextual tensor. The computing device or server updates the activation probabilities and the set of the seed users, based on an updated susceptibility tensor.

The encoded tag is positioned to identify a point of interest, and in response to using the mobile device to scan the encoded tag, communications regarding the point of interest may be initiated. A single encoded tag may be used to obtain and update recorded information about the point of interest, to notify others about an issue related to the point of interest, to log into the system, and to wait to be alerted about an issue related to the point of interest. Abstract: Dynamic link preview generation techniques are described that overcome the challenges of conventional techniques by supporting link preview generation by a content provider system that proves the digital content via a respective network address. In one example, a content provider system, based on a request received from a service provider system, identifies a communication platform of the service provider system that is to be used to communicate the shared link. Upon identifying the communication platform, the content provider system locates customization data that describes how the link preview is to be generated for the communication platform. In response, the content provider system renders digital content available via the network address to generate the link preview.

Abstract: A method and circuit for performing vector-matrix multiplication may include converting an input vector of binary-encoded values into analog signals using one-bit DACs, and sequentially performing a vector-matrix multiplication operation for each bit-order. The method may also include, for each sequentially performed operation, operating a switch that corresponds to a current bit-order. Operating the switch may cause a value corresponding to an output of the multiplier to be stored on a capacitor corresponding to the current bit-order. A time interval during which the switch is operated may be non-uniform with respect to time intervals for other switches, and the time interval may be based at least in part on a settling time of the capacitor. The method may also include performing a bit-order weighted summation of values stored on the plurality of capacitors to generate a result of the vector-matrix multiplication.

Abstract: A matrix processing engine is provided for efficient matrix computation performed by a dense matrix compute circuit (performing SIMD operations) and a scalar computing core (performing SISD operations). These two processing components operate together to produce output data tiles by feeding results of the dense SIMD operations to the scalar computing core using thread packing and an in-line buffer for accumulating and packing the dense result data. This permits the scalar computing to spawn threads to operate on the dense results as available and without requiring partial or intermediate data read/writes between the dense and scalar computations.
