  • Patent number: 11713950
Abstract: A system for improving the accuracy of the seating of primers in primer pockets of shell casings while avoiding damaging the end of the shell casing is provided. A stop mechanism that directly engages the bottom of the shell is included such that, as the primer is inserted into the primer pocket, more accurate seating depth is ensured. In addition, the seating depth may be adjusted in order to compensate for changes over time, which may be due to changes in materials or wear. Further, components that interact with the end of the shell casing and rod have increased thickness to add strength and provide more surface area relative to the base of the shell casing, thus reducing the chance that the base of the shell casing is bent and allowing for a precise stopping position during priming.

  • Patent number: 11713978
Abstract: An end-to-end system for data generation, map creation using the generated data, and localization to the created map is disclosed. Mapstreams—or streams of sensor data, perception outputs from deep neural networks (DNNs), and/or relative trajectory data—corresponding to any number of drives by any number of vehicles may be generated and uploaded to the cloud. The mapstreams may be used to generate map data—and ultimately a fused high definition (HD) map—that represents data generated over a plurality of drives. When localizing to the fused HD map, individual localization results may be generated based on comparisons of real-time data from a sensor modality to map data corresponding to the same sensor modality. This process may be repeated for any number of sensor modalities and the results may be fused together to determine a final fused localization result.

  • Patent number: 11713983
Abstract: An inductive position encoder includes a scale, a detector and a signal processor. The scale includes a periodic pattern of signal modulating elements (SME) arranged along a measuring axis (MA) with a spatial wavelength W1. The detector comprises sensing elements and a field generating coil that generates a changing magnetic flux. The sensing elements comprise conductive loops that provide detector signals responsive to a local effect on the changing magnetic flux provided by adjacent SME's. Some or all of the conductive loops are configured according to an intra-loop shift relationship wherein equal “shifted proportions” of a loop are shifted in opposite directions by W1/4K. K is an odd integer. The intra-loop shift relationship can be used to suppress Kth spatial harmonic components in the detector signals, while also overcoming longstanding detrimental layout problems. It combines easily with “loop width” spatial filtering techniques that filter other spatial harmonic signal components.

  • Patent number: 11713984
Abstract: A rotary encoder for a valve comprises a rotatable code plate and an optical detector module comprising one or more optical detectors. The code plate defines a set of voids arranged along a set of one or more concentric circular arcs about an axis of rotation. The voids define an angle-dependent pattern over the set of arcs, the pattern comprising a plurality of distinct sectoral elements (A-O, X). At least two of the sectoral elements, located in non-adjacent sectors of the code plate, are identical, but the pattern is non-repeating over a single full rotation of the code plate about the axis. Each optical detector is aligned with a respective concentric circular arc of the code plate. A controller processes time-varying output signals from the optical detectors to determine successive positions of the rotatable code plate.
