Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing a starch composition. The method for producing a starch composition according to the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a raw material mixture which contains a raw starch material, one or more selected from the group consisting of an acid-treated starch and a dextrin, and an aqueous alkaline solution, the raw material mixture having a moisture content of 20 parts by mass or more and 35 parts by mass or less per 100 parts by mass of the raw material mixture; and (b) heat-treating the raw material mixture having a moisture content of 20 parts by mass or more and 35 parts by mass or less obtained in step (a) to a temperature at which the raw material mixture becomes 120° C. or higher and 150° C. or lower. Abstract: A method of making a polyolefin nanocomposite including, mixing a zinc-aluminum layered double hydroxide (LDH), and a zirconocene complex in a non-polar solvent to form a first mixture. Prior to the mixing the zirconocene complex is not supported on the zinc-aluminum LDH. The method further includes sonicating the first mixture for at least one hour to form a homogeneous slurry. The method further includes degassing the homogenous slurry and adding at least one olefin gas to form a second mixture. The method further includes adding an aluminoxane catalyst to the second mixture and reacting for at least 10 minutes to form a reaction mixture including the polyolefin nanocomposite. The method further includes separating the polyolefin nanocomposite from the reaction mixture.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a preparation method of a super absorbent polymer. More specifically, it relates to a preparation method of a super absorbent polymer, which can improve a drying efficiency in the preparation process and realize excellent absorption-related properties of the prepared super absorbent polymer by using a specific inorganic material in the reassembly process.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of producing polymer particles by precipitation polymerisation, the method comprising: providing a reaction solution comprising (i) solvent, (ii) a photo-active compound that upon being subjected to a wavelength of light forms two o-quinodimethane structures, and (iii) a multi-dienophile compound; subjecting the reaction solution to the wavelength of light, which promotes step-growth Diels-Alder polymerisation of the photo-active and multi-dienophile compounds; wherein as a result of the step-growth Diels-Alder polymerisation polymer precipitates from the reaction solution and self-assembles into the polymer particles.

Abstract: A method for nanomaterial formation and distribution within a matrix material that includes: preparing a gel matrix; patterning a reactive group within the matrix material; binding a seed material to reactive group within the matrix material, the seed material selected from a first set of gold nanomaterials, silver nanomaterials, and copper nanomaterials; binding a precursor reagent selected from materials to the seed material; adding a chalcogen to form a precursor reagent chalcogenide at sites of the precursor reagent via an ion exchange; adding final compound and optionally a ligand in solution and facilitating cation exchange replacing the precursor reagent chalcogenide with the final compound to form a nanomaterial within the matrix material.
