When feeding, a liquid-solid mixture in the crystallizer automatically enters the discharge pipe and flows upward slowly therein, during which solid particles gradually settle down and automatically fall back into the crystallizer while the clear liquid keeps on flowing upward, enters the clear liquid pipe and thereby flows into the clear liquid tank. The clear liquid tank maintains a constant liquid level via overflowing.

    Abstract: A synergistic composition can be used to treat water containing nitrogen compounds and phosphorus compounds. The synergistic composition includes iron filings, clay particles, aluminum particles, and sand particles. The iron filings, clay particles, and aluminum particles act synergistically to remove nitrogen compounds and phosphorus compounds from water. Specifically, the clay particles attract the nitrogen compounds and the phosphorus compounds to be absorbed onto a surface of the iron filings and the clay particles. The aluminum particles react with the nitrogen compounds via an oxidation reaction to form ammonia compounds, and react with the phosphorus compounds to produce aluminum phosphate. As such, the synergistic relationship between the iron filings, clay particles, and aluminum particles remove nitrogen and phosphorus compounds from water and recover the compounds in usable forms, namely, ammonia and aluminum phosphate.

The first stage consists of a surface passivation of the material by chemical attack in a highly alkaline alcohol solution, with the aim of effecting a precarbonization on the surface of the copolymer that during the pyrolysis process is not deformed and gradually develops microporosity. The material of the first stage presents, in the layer, percentages between 55% to 85% carbon, between 5% to 20% oxygen, and between 10% to 40% chlorine.

The chlorine adsorption material adsorptive for chlorine-based substances during the waste incineration is prepared by mixing raw materials which include natural iron ores and quartz stones, and modifying the iron ores and the quartz stones with CaO through an ultrasonic impregnation method. The prepared chlorine adsorption material has a large pore size, a high porosity and a stable structure, and shows higher adsorption efficiency and adsorption capacity for the chlorine-based substances during the waste incineration. The use of the low-cost natural iron ores and quartz stones can reduce the cost in processing the chlorine-based substances, make great use of resources and facilitate environment protection.

    Abstract: The present invention combines the advantages of fabrication of semiconductor heterostructure (Ag3PO4—WO3) with plasmonic metals (Pt and Ag) with optical interference to optimize the visible light photo response of plasmonic metals deposited semiconductor (Pt—Ag/Ag3PO4—WO3) for visible light assisted H2 generation utilizing the aqueous bio-alcohols. Crystalline Ag3PO4 and WO3 nanofibers were synthesized by microwave and electrospinning methods. Three different WO3 nanofibers composition (5, 10 and 15 wt. %) were used to obtain Ag3PO4/WO3 nanocomposite heterostructures, which are effective visible light active photo catalysts. Further, a simple, enviro-friendly, and cost-effective biogenic synthesis method have been achieved using Salvia officinalis extract to decorate Pt and Ag metal nanoparticles on the surface of Ag3PO4—WO3 composites. Presence of bioactive agents in the extract are responsible for the Pt and Ag3PO4 reduction and for prevention of the Pt nanoparticles from aggregation in aqueous medium.
