Publication number: 20240124741Abstract: Conductive films formed from composites of phenylalanine and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) doped with poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS). The composite films formed by introducing aromatic amino acid phenylalanine in PEDOT:PSS improved the conductivity of the film to about 594 S/cm, a 400% increment compared to the conductivity of a pristine PEDOT:PSS film of about 1.5 S/cm. The conductivity can be tuned by adding a varying amount of phenylalanine in PEDOT:PSS. By further processing these composite films by treating them with methanol followed by annealing, conductivity of over 2200 S/cm can be achieved. In addition to increased conductivity, the composite films also have higher optical transmissivity compared to a native PEDOT:PSS polymer film with the composite thin film achieving transmittance of over 97%.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 13, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: COLGATE UNIVERSITYInventor: Ramesh Adhikari

Publication number: 20240124763Abstract: Formulations and methods for stimulating the production from wells in nano-darcy shale formations. In one embodiment, the method includes injecting a treatment mixture containing a metal complexing agent into a nano-darcy shale formation adjacent to a well at a pressure below the fracture pressure of the formation. A sufficient contact time is allowed and then the treatment mixture is pumped from the subsurface. This has been shown to stimulate well production in shale formations. Without being held to a particular theory it appears that the metal complexing agent is binding with naturally occurring metals in the shale formation, and particularly divalent metal ions, which are then extracted with the spent fluid. This removal of naturally occurring metals may be increasing the permeability of the formation in the contact region adjacent to the well, thereby causing the observed increased production.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: Flex-Chem Holding Company, LLCInventor: Andrew Bryce Conway

Publication number: 20240124776Abstract: Novel high purity dimethylaluminium chloride compositions are provided that are suitable for semiconductor applications, such as atomic layer etch and aluminum ion implantation. The reduction or minimization of specified gaseous impurities allows the vapor phase of the DMAC to have purity levels of 99.9 mol % or higher to selectively etch various atomic layers with high selectivity and high etch precision at acceptable etch rates and 99 mol % or higher to ion implant aluminum ions without substantial implantation of C2H3 ions into a wafer device, thereby avoiding degradation or failure of the wafer device. Storage conditions are established that are conducive to maintaining the high purity levels required for such semiconductor applications.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Inventors: Laurence E. Publication number: 20240124784Abstract: The present technology relates to biofuels, and more particularly, to biomass-based diesel from olefin oligomers. Diesel fuels with cetane number of 49 or greater are prepared by blending hydrocarbons produced by olefin oligomerization with renewable diesel, resulting in a blended fuel that has a lower cloud point than the cloud point of the renewable diesel. A different aspect relates to an integrated process for lipid HDO and olefin oligomerization wherein the propane coproduct of lipid HDO is subjected to dehydrogenation to produce a vapor stream having propylene and hydrogen. The propylene is subsequently oligomerized to iso-olefins and the iso-olefins are combined with the lipid feed for hydrogenation in the HDO reactor.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 2, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: Renewable Energy Group, Inc.Inventors: Ramin Abhari, Martin Haverly
