Abstract: The design of electrochemically responsive halogen donors in redox-active polymer for switchable electrosorption and release of anions. A redox-active group such as ferrocene acts as an electron-withdrawing group, facilitating the delocalization of the electrons on the halogen atom. Upon the oxidation of the ferrocene moiety, the halogen atom forms a partial-positive charge (?-hole) on the elongation of the C—I bond, resulting in strong binding with anions in cooperation with the hydrogen bonds on the cyclopentadienyl ring on the oxidized ferrocene. During reduction of ferrocene, halogen bonding is deactivated, releasing the bound anions reversibly.

Abstract: In industrial inspection scenarios, early detection of machine malfunction is extremely essential as it helps in preventing any significant damage and the associated economic losses. Embodiments herein provide a method and system for an acoustic based anomaly detection in industrial machines using a beamforming and a sequential transform learning. Herein, the system employs two-stage multi-channel source separation technique that uses the well-known delay and sum beamforming followed by a recent data-driven sequential transform learning (STL) approach to obtain clean sources. The STL is a solution to linear state-space model where operators/matrices are learnt from data and is used here to model the dynamics of time-varying source signals for source separation. Subsequently, a reference template matching is employed on each separated source to detect an anomaly.

Abstract: Herein is reported a novel, high throughput suitable method for the characterization and identification as well as selection of recombinant cell clones expressing a bispecific antibody with high titers and low levels of antibody-related side products. The method according to the current invention uses the binding signals of an immunoassay-based screening of recombinant cell clone cultivation supernatants for isolated as well as simultaneous binding to the respective targets of the antibody. This data allows for the selection of high producer cell clones with desired product profile.

Abstract: A method for estimating a toxicity level of radiation therapy on a patient comprises characterizing radiosensitivity of a cell sample from the patient to ionizing radiation to determine a first radiosensitivity factor by biochemical analysis. The first radiosensitivity factor is determined by biochemical analysis of a sample collected from the patient under examination in a basal state, to quantify a marker or a combination of markers. Dosimetric data is analyzed using data originating from treatment planning to determine a second treatment factor. The level of toxicity is determined by a combination of the first radiosensitivity factor and the second treatment factor. The method may be used to assess the risk factors of a radiation therapy treatment on a patient suffering from, for example, cancer to determine whether the patient will be able to tolerate further radiation without there being a major, or even lethal, toxicological risk.

Abstract: The present application relates to the field of cell immunity, and discloses an interacting protein screening platform for preparing a cell membrane. A cell membrane protein and a membrane protein encoding gene to be tested are respectively expressed in different cells; after staining, cells expressing different membrane proteins and cells expressing target proteins are co-incubated; and then interacting membrane proteins are obtained by screening, and specific sequences thereof are determined by sequencing. The screening platform provided in the present application can screen a variety of cell membrane proteins and membrane protein-based engineering cells, and has strong specificity, thereby greatly improving the efficiency of screening interacting proteins and reducing the difficulty, providing a simple and convenient tool for studying the mechanism of action of cell membrane proteins, and improving the screening throughput.
