The handle includes an inner body and an outer body disposed over the inner body. The outer body is movable relative to the inner body. The handle includes a first actuator secured to the tool. The first actuator has an actuated state permitting movement of the tool relative to the sheath in response to moving the outer body relative to the inner body. The handle includes a second actuator secured to the sheath. The second actuator has an actuated state permitting movement of the sheath relative to the tool in response to moving the second actuator relative to the outer body. Abstract: A 3D/2D imaging system and method analyzes various anatomical structures, such as the organs and/or vascular structures within the imaged anatomy through which the interventional device can pass to reach the target tissue. The imaging system can determine the locations, characteristics, and configurations of the vascular structures/blood vessels and/or organs. During the performance of the interventional procedure, the information provided by the imaging system from the 3D volume can be employed to optimally position the intra-operative imaging device in order to obtain a desired visualization e.g., 2D view, of the position of the interventional device within the patient anatomy. This intra-operative 2D view is optionally registered to the 3D volume and can be displayed by the imaging system along with a 3D model or image determined from the 3D volume that is representative of the patient anatomy present in the intra-operative 2D image.

Abstract: Systems and methods for planning and assisting orthopaedic surgical procedures include a computer system and a robotic surgical device. The computer system receives multiple surgeon preferences, including target values and boundary values for surgical parameters of the orthopaedic surgical procedure. A surgeon uses the computer system to perform bony registration and leg-alignment registration for anatomy of a patient. The computer system determines a surgical plan for the orthopaedic surgical procedure based on the surgeon preferences, the bony registration, and the leg-alignment registration. The surgical plan includes planned values associated with the surgical parameters that are within the boundary values of the surgeon preferences. Determining the surgical plan may include automatically adjusting tibial coronal alignment, femoral coronal alignment, femoral flexion, femoral rotation, distal femoral resection height, proximal tibial resection height, and/or distal femoral resection height.

Abstract: A surgical computing device may include a processor configured to implement two neural networks, a primary neural network trained with a procedure focus and support neural network trained with a patient focus. Data indicative of a surgical patient, a target procedure, and a proposed procedure plan may be input to the support neural network. The support neural network may generate a patient specific mapping from this data. The patient specific mapping and the data indicative of a surgical patient, a target procedure, and a proposed procedure plan may be input to the primary neural network. The primary neural network may output a modified procedure plan that is different from the proposed procedure plan. In an example, the support neural network is trained to isolate anatomical elements. And the primary neural network is trained to identify procedure plans associated with improved patient outcomes.
