Abstract: This disclosure describes the microbial network and community assembly patterns of brown macro algae, e.g., Macrocystis pyrifera gametophyte germplasm, cultures used to cultivate an offshore farm and identify network features associated with increased biomass of mature sporophytes. Several network features, such as clustering coefficient and edge ratios, significantly vary with biomass outcomes; also, gametophytes that become low- or high biomass sporophytes have different hub taxa. This disclosure describes microbial community dynamics in M. pyrifera germplasm cultures and development of early life stage inoculants used on seaweed cultivars to increase biomass yield.

The game straps are each formed from a wire section that include a braided cable or wire surrounded by a coating, such as vinyl or PVC. The outer end of each game strap includes a retaining loop that is formed by the end of the wire section. A slide block is located near the end of the wire section. The wire section passes through a sliding section of the slide block and the end of the wire section is secured in a crimping section. The wire section slides into and out of the sliding section to expand and contract the retaining loop. The outer coating on the wire section both protects the cable and restricts the sliding movement of the wire section.

Abstract: Materials composed of inorganic and organic compounds that inhibit, promote and stabilize nanostructured crystalline calcium carbonate for the recruitment and growth of oyster larvae and spat. By using simple chemical precursors in a bottom-up or top-down approach, a variety of layered material compositions can be obtained which result in a standalone material or one that can be applied to and supported by cementitious substrates. The chemical compounds and processes described in this invention are scalable, thus providing for manufacturing small or large quantities of tailored materials, utilizing a variety of techniques, such as but not limited to 3-D printing, spraying, molding and freeze casting to produce a broad spectrum of material compositions and forms suitable for a variety of oyster species and estuarine environments.
