The foot support comprises a support portion, an extension portion extending from the support portion, and at least one closable opening formed in the foot support. The extension portion is integral with the support portion. Upon flexing of the foot support by application of a bending force between the support portion and the extension portion, closure of the at least one opening is to prevent further flexing of the foot support beyond a specified angle range.

Abstract: A sole includes an upper surface defining a support surface that supports a bottom of a foot of a wearer, a lower surface defining a ground contact surface, and a peripheral surface connecting the upper surface and the lower surface. The upper surface includes an MP joint support region that supports the bottom of the foot at a position corresponding to an MP joint of the foot of the wearer, and the peripheral surface includes a pair of side surfaces including a medial foot side surface located on a medial foot side and a lateral foot side surface located on a lateral foot side. Abstract: An anti-fatigue shoe apparatus is presented that is designed to reduce foot fatigue and discomfort. The anti-fatigue shoe apparatus makes use of novel combinations of insole, midsole, outsole, and comfort material configurations and designs to provide comfort, support, and flexibility within work footwear. The anti-fatigue shoe apparatus includes a raised arch support piece that cradles the foot's natural arch, reducing torque and improving stability. Toe and heel comfort zones made of cushioning materials provide targeted support and pressure relief. In some embodiments an injection system for providing a liquid comfort material injected into the toe and heel zones through canals in the outsole are presented for customized cushioning. The invention comes in various material combinations.

Abstract: Foot support systems for articles of footwear or other foot-receiving devices include a compressor or other gas source used to control gas pressure provided in one or more pressure adjustable fluid-filled bladders used to support a wearer's foot. Additional features relate to fluid flow control systems and methods that include a plurality of valves to control an inflation configuration for supplying gas to the one or more adjustable fluid filled bladders or a deflation configuration for releasing gas from the one or more adjustable fluid filled bladders.

Abstract: An apparatus for convenient tightening and loosening of strings such as those found in shoelaces of footwear is provided. The apparatus includes a rotating portion within a base portion. A cover portion, when operated in a first position, provides a ratchet movement that allows rotation in a tightening direction while preventing movement in a loosening direction. When the cover is moved to a second position, the ratchet mechanism disengages, and the strings can then be easily loosened.

Abstract: A jewelry piece having a body or housing that defines a cavity sized and shaped to removably receive an interchangeable ornament and a cover or back connected to the body, such that the jewelry piece may be opened or closed. The body and cover magnetically and mechanically engage when the jewelry piece is closed to secure the ornament without the need for excessive force or an additional tool. The magnetic engagement is accomplished by magnets that are located opposite each other when the jewelry piece is closed. The mechanical engagement is accomplished by interlocking mating elements that combine to define a bail when the jewelry piece is closed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable shelter assembly. The assembly includes a support; and an expandable shelter for being supported by the support and expanding to shelter at least one person. The shelter includes ribs extending from the support. Each rib includes a proximal element pivotally mounted to the support. Each rib further includes a distal element extending from the proximal element and configured to move outwardly to expand the shelter when the proximal element pivots in a first direction. The ribs can be extended independently, one at a time.

Abstract: A laptop cover is provided. The device includes a rigid housing including a base having a planar upper surface. A plurality of sidewalls extend from a perimeter of the base defining an open end opposite the base, wherein an interior volume of the housing is dimensioned to receive a laptop computer therein. A notch is disposed through one sidewall of the plurality of sidewalls, wherein the notch is dimensioned to receive a cable therethrough. The notch includes an open lower end extending through a distal end of the sidewall. In some embodiments, a storage compartment is disposed within the interior volume on an interior surface of the base. The laptop cover also includes an electromagnetic lock and a communications network that is controlled via a cell phone and mobile app, a mechanical switch, or a Radio Frequency Identification or RFID system.

Abstract: A compressible sleeve and a kit comprising a plurality of compressible sleeves is disclosed herein. The compressible sleeve includes a band and a fastener element. The band is formed as a continuous loop and constructed from an elasticated material, enabling the band to compressively fit around a piece of luggage. The compressible sleeve enables a user to readily identify their luggage from a long distance, and also unifies two or more mismatched pieces of luggage. In addition, tension applied to the luggage via the band enables zipper pull tabs of the luggage to be placed underneath the band and prevented from moving, thus minimizing potential for luggage to be accidentally opened during transit.

Abstract: A sheet anchor device is disclosed that keeps bedsheets from coming untucked at the foot of the bed. The sheet anchor device comprises a body component that is configured in approximately three sections of one-inch PVC pipe, along with two unions to join all the sections together and two endcaps at the ends. Depending on the size of the mattress, additional or less sections can be jointed together to form the body component, as needed. Further, the body component comprises approximately eight clamps which secure to the PVC pipe and clamp onto a bottom end of the sheet. The body component is then tucked under the mattress, such that the body component sits between the top mattress and the box spring, acting as an anchor and preventing the sheet from becoming untucked easily and staying tight through the night.

Abstract: A four-in-one mattress management system and method is disclosed for facilitating various tasks associated with beds of all sizes including making beds; rotating mattresses; holding a bed skirt in place while a mattress is rotated; installing or removing and re-installing a mattress, for example, in order to replace a bed skirt. The system includes an active mode and a passive mode. In an active mode, all four tasks mentioned above can be performed. A passive mode selectable. In a passive mode, the mattress can be easily rotated in a horizontal plane. During that mode, the system holds down the bed skirt while the mattress is being rotated. In an active mode, the present invention facilitates bed making and thus increases the efficiency of the housekeeping staff leaving more time for the housekeeping staff to attend to the rest of the room. The active mode also facilitates installation and replacement of bed skirts.

Abstract: A juice module includes a juice drum accommodating a mesh body therein and coupled to an upper end of a main body, wherein a lid into which a juice object is input is coupled to an upper portion of the juice drum; and a screw mounted inside the mesh body to rotate with respect to a screw rotation shaft, having a spiral rib formed on an outer circumferential surface, and receiving and crushing the juice object from the lid, wherein the screw includes a support surface formed in a direction intersecting the screw rotation shaft to support the juice object input into the lid and a crushing portion formed on an upper end to intersect the support surface and cutting the juice object, and wherein the lid includes an inlet into which the juice object is input, the inlet guiding the juice object to reach the spiral rib or the support surface.

Abstract: Provided is a Cartridge brewing filter device for use with a cartridge brewing system. The device aids in further filtering the beverage provided by a cartridge brewing system. The filter device also helps prevent the beverage from splashing out of the beverage container during the brewing process. Additional features include using the filter device to add flavor, tea, coffee, elements, etc to the beverage to enhance the brewing experience.
