Abstract: A method for manufacturing a three-dimensional shaped object includes: a step of stacking a layer containing a first inorganic powder and a first binder to form a first component, the first component being bonded to a second component containing a second inorganic powder and a second binder by a heat treatment; and a support body forming step of forming, by stacking the layer, a support body which is removed after the heat treatment. The heat treatment is executed on an aggregate. The support body is formed in the aggregate to support an overhang portion from below between the first component and the second component.

Abstract: A method for printing a 3D part includes decreasing a temperature of a build material in a nozzle of a 3D printer below a melting point of the build material, which causes the build material in the nozzle to transition from a liquid state to a solid state. The method also includes increasing the temperature of the build material in the nozzle above the melting point of the build material, which causes the build material in the nozzle to transition from the solid state to a sludgy state. An occlusion and the build material in the sludgy state are ejected from the nozzle.

Abstract: The present invention improves workability. A cutting work machine has a discharge channel, concave with a discharge opening open to the left, disposed at an outer peripheral portion of a saw cover. A discharge inlet portion that connects the saw cover and the discharge channel are formed at a front end of the discharge channel. Viewed from above, a side guide surface constituting the right-side surface of the discharge channel inclines to the left toward the rear. The rear surface of the discharge channel consists of a rear guide surface inclined to the rear toward the left side. Thus, cutting chips flowing towards the rear-end side of the discharge channel along the side guide surface hit the rear guide surface and changes the chip outflow direction to the left side (discharge opening side). With cutting chips being discharged substantially leftward from the discharge opening, the workability of the cutting work machine improves.

Abstract: Described herein are examples of welding technique monitoring systems that provide lightweight, self-contained, and highly portable means of monitoring welding technique and/or providing technique feedback. The systems use a portable support platform that can be easily transported to different welding stations/sites, providing a marked advantage over legacy monitoring systems that use heavy welding stands that are difficult to move. After an initial calibration, the systems can consistently and repeatedly monitor welding technique relative to a particular joint with no additional calibration necessary, even if there is sensor and/or platform movement. The systems are additionally able to detect a welding-type operation without the need to communicate with welding equipment. The systems are further configured for use with existing (rather than potentially expensive custom) welding-type tools, thereby keeping the systems low cost and highly portable.
