    Abstract: This disclosure relates more particularly to risk assessment of preterm delivery (PTD) in the subject and designing a personalized recommendation for the same. Conventional techniques for PTD risk assessment are either invasive or minimally invasive and leaves little time for subjects to take precautionary or corrective medical advice or procedures to reduce or obviate the risk. The present disclosure provides the risk assessment of the PTD, by quantifying a microbial abundance in oral or gut microbiome for a pregnant woman, identifying a certain combination of microbial biomarkers using an ensemble of models for accurate risk assessment of the PTD and subsequently suggesting a personalized recommendation for at risk subject. The present assessment technique is completely non-invasive and further helps in characterizing the risk of the PTD.

    Abstract: The present results show that KDM1A is a key epigenetic regulator of tissue-specific expression of GIP receptor and possibly of other receptors from the G-protein coupled receptor family in hormone-producing glands, and that its alteration leads to the development of aberrant overexpression of eutopic hormone receptors or expression of ectopic hormone receptors that lead to abnormal steroidogenesis. They also show that loss of expression of KDM1A is likely to be the initiating event that trigger the abnormal cell proliferation leading to the development of tissue lesions in adrenal and possibly in other endocrine tissues (notably in the adrenal glands). The present invention therefore proposes to detect altered expression of KDM1A in the genome of subjects, in order to diagnose a genetic predisposition to an endocrine disease and/or to an endocrine hyperplasia.

    Abstract: The first genome-wide, large-cohort study to demonstrate donor kidney transcriptomes can capture intrinsic organ quality and carry significant predictive weight for 24-month transplant function is disclosed. These findings shift the paradigm of understanding longer-term kidney transplant outcomes away from recipient factors/post-transplant events and towards intrinsic donor organ quality, which can be captured by molecular techniques. Also disclosed is a manufacturing method for the steel for the high-temperature carburized gear shaft, comprising the steps of: smelting and casting; heating; forging or rolling; and finishing. By reasonably controlling chemical element compositions of the steel, the steel for the gear shaft in the present invention can maintain proper austenite grain size and stability at high temperature, maintains 5-8 grades of the austenite grain size before and after the high-temperature vacuum carburizing at 940-1050° C.
