Abstract: A system for facilitating access, includes, a tabletop having an undersurface; a tray support movably positioned relative to the undersurface of the tabletop so as to be positionable between a retracted position in which the tray support is inward of the undersurface of the tabletop and an extended position in which a portion of the tray support extends outwardly from the underside surface of the table top; a tray having an upper tray surface; a height extender removably couplable to the tray; and a lock. The lock is operatively associated with the height extender and the tray support, and is configured to position and lock the tray to the tray support when the tray support is in the extended position, and to locate an upper planar tray surface of the tray at a desired height relative to the tabletop.

Abstract: A table assembly is provided. The table assembly includes a lower table portion, and an upper table portion operationally engaging the lower table portion. The upper and lower table portions are slidably movable relative to each other between a generally parallel configuration wherein the lower and upper table portions are vertically stacked and a generally co-planar configuration wherein the lower and upper table portions are generally horizontally aligned.

Abstract: The extensible table includes: a main surface (5) supported by a support base (3A, 3B; 3); a first auxiliary surface (19) and a second auxiliary surface (21), arranged underneath the main surface (5) when the table is retracted in a condition of minimum extension and coplanar and side by side to the main surface when the table is extended in the condition of maximum extension; a table extension mechanism. The extension mechanism includes two movable supports (15, 17) arranged side by side, each carrying a respective auxiliary surface (19, 21). The movable supports are supported and guided on the support base of the table for symmetrically and synchronously moving close and away the two auxiliary surfaces one with respect to the other during table extension and retraction movement. Each of the movable supports (15, 17) includes a lifting and lowering member (23A, 23B; 27A, 27B) of the respective auxiliary surface during the table extension and retraction movement.

Abstract: A mechanism and method for storing and deploying an expansion portion of a surface is provided. The mechanism is configured so as to raise and lower a storable expansion surface portion with respect to an adjacent surface portion, allowing the storable expansion surface portion to be stored behind the adjacent surface portion when a smaller surface area is desired.

Abstract: A shelving system includes a primary panel having a top side, a bottom side, a back edge, a front edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The bottom side includes a plurality of guides. Each of a pair of secondary panels has an upper surface and a lower surface. A plurality of engaging members is attached to the upper surfaces of the secondary panels. The guides receive the engaging members and slidably couple the secondary panels to the primary panel. The secondary panels each have an inner edge and an outer edge. The outer edges are aligned with a respective one of the first or second lateral edges to define a stored position. The outer edges are extended outwardly from the primary panel to define an extended position. Each of the secondary panels has one of a pair of supports attached thereto.

Abstract: An exemplary display device includes a support member, a pair of displays slidably attached to the support member, and positioning members disposed between the displays and the support member. The support member includes a straight slideway, and a curved slideway defined therein. The curved slideway includes a slanting portion, and a first straight portion and a second straight portion extending out from opposite ends of the slanting portion. The straight slideway is parallel to the first straight portion of the curved slideway and in line with the second straight portion of the curved slideway. The displays are slidably received in the straight slideway and the curved slideway respectively. The displays may be positioned to form a large screen, or slid to overlap leaving a single display visible.

Abstract: Disclosed is a novel enhanced leaf mechanism, the leafs being stored immediately under the surface of the table. Leafs are extended and retracted using a unique system, whereby leafs are retracted by releasing a camming device and pushing the leaf into a retracted position. The system maintains alignment with a track along which arms connecting each leaf run. Arms in both the extended and retracted positions are substantially horizontal, but at different vertical levels.

Abstract: A table attachment for arm chairs including a base portion adapted to be clamped to a chair arm. The attachment includes a base portion and a table portion pivotally secured to the front end of the base portion. The table portion may be selectively positioned so that it projects outwardly from either side of the base portion to accommodate right or left-handed mounting conditions.

Abstract: A new and improved table saw extension apparatus includes a pair of support arm assemblies attachable to respective ends of a table saw. A cross member assembly is supported by the support arm assemblies and includes an assembly for relative vertical adjustment of the cross member assembly with respect to the support arm assemblies. The cross member assembly also includes an assembly for relative horizontal adjustment of the cross member assembly with respect to the support arm assemblies. The cross member assembly includes a base member attached to the support arm assemblies. A first adjustment member is adjustably connected to the base member. The first adjustment member includes a plurality of vertical channels permitting the first adjustment member to be adjusted vertically with respect to the base member. The first adjustment member also includes a horizontal channel.

Abstract: A table has a table top the height of which can be adjusted between an elevated position and a lower position so that the table can be used, for example, both as a billiards table and as a domestic dining table.Adjustment of the height of the table top is effected with a mechanism, incorporating a support member which can be moved from a retracted position into an extended position at which it acts to support the elevated table top on a support structure. This movement of the support member is effected on lifting of the table top by engagement of a cam follower with a cam surface. Lifting of the table top beyond the elevated position may act to return the support member to its retracted position via engagement of a further cam follower with a further cam surface.

Abstract: A basis for a tabletop for an extension table having extension leaves (E) with extension bars (B1 and B2), characterized by the fact that the tabletop basis consists of three laminae (10,20,30) having the same thickness and placed one on top of the other and are provided with various cut-out areas and slanting zones which together constitute cavities for slidably receiving extension bars of the extension leaves of the table.
