Abstract: A conduit adaptor for an HVAC component includes a body having a substantially cylindrical shape, a first end configured to fit at least partially within the HVAC component, and a second end configured to couple to a conduit. The body is rotatable relative to the HVAC component between an unlocked position and a locked position when the first end is inserted into the HVAC component. The body further includes a bore extending axially through the body from the first end to the second end, and a first tab and a second tab extending radially outward from the first end. The first tab and the second tab are configured to prevent the body from being removed from the HVAC component when the body is in the locked position. The first tab includes a retention feature configured to retain the body in the locked position.

Abstract: An extension arm connected to a panel of a safety sign is moveable between a first position extending laterally of the panel a distance at least equal to the maximum width of the panel and a second position. In one embodiment the arm is an assembly held to a handhold of the safety sign. In some embodiments the arm is hinged for folding in the manner of a carpenter's rule. In some embodiments the arm is rotatable between an operative laterally extending, generally horizontal, position and a stowed position. In other embodiments, an A-frame safety sign has a removable arm attached to it, the removable arm when attached being movable to a position extending outward a distance at least equal to the maximum width of the panel.

Abstract: A coiled adaptive seat is held to a smaller diameter for delivery with a tool that features a locating lug for desired alignment of the seat with an intended groove in the inner wall of a tubular. The release tool retracts a cover from the seat allowing its diameter to increase as it enters a groove. Alternatively the adaptive seat is released near the groove and pushed axially in the string to the groove for fixation. Once in the groove the inside diameter of the string is a support for a blocking object so that sequential treatment of parts of a zone can be accomplished. The blocking object is removed with pressure, dissolving, milling or disintegration leaving a narrow ledge in the tubular bore from the seat that can simply be left in place or milled as well. An E4#10 from Baker Hughes is modified for adaptive seat delivery.

Abstract: A downhole valve to be used use in a flow management system comprises a valve inlet for coupling with a hydrocarbon reservoir pump outlet, a valve outlet for coupling with production tubing transport to the surface pumped hydrocarbons, a valve body with a valve body centerline that extends between the valve inlet and outlet, and a spill port for bypassing a backflow.

Abstract: An actuator for a spray can. The actuator includes a housing for attachment to an aerosol can covering a stem valve. A finger operating button structure is engaged with the housing for engaging the stem valve. A rotary two-way diverter valve is supported within the housing and rotatably engaged with the finger operating button structure. In a spray position/straw down, the two-way diverter valve directs spray through a first direct spray nozzle. In a second straw position/straw up, to make use of an adjustable straw, the diverter valve is rotated to engage a straw spray passage of the diverter valve in fluid communication with an adjustable rotary spray tip and engaged straw. By rotating the adjustable rotary spray tip to an aligned position, the tip substantially blocks the straw spray passage to provide a drip mode, where drops of fluid exit the straw. A flexible tip may optionally be provided on the straw to enable bending and retention of the flexible tip to a desired position.

Abstract: Devices, apparatus, and methods for clamping a pivoting arm/flag onto an edge of furniture, such as a table edge, countertop edge, and the like, with or without messages and advertising indicia thereon, in order to signal servers and wait staff that service is being requested. The clamp can include a one-piece clip with a substantially horizontal top leg perpendicular to a top edge of a back panel, and an upwardly angled lower leg attached to a bottom edge of the back panel.

Abstract: A pointer-type alarm mark structure of a micro-differential pressure gauge includes a transparent casing. The transparent casing has a shaft thereon. At least one alarm index is provided on the shaft. By adjusting the alarm index to a desired position, the user can know whether the pointer of the gauge is within a safe area.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a lid for a container holding a flowable substance which comprises a mounting portion to be attached to the container and an opening to remove the flowable substance from the container, whereas the opening is opened and closed by means of a slider which is connected to the lid and rotates around a vertical axis.

Abstract: A tubing drain valve in a production tubing string, positioned above a pump, is operated to open drain ports in the housing for draining produced fluids from the production tubing when the pump is shut off. The drain valve incorporates a check valve assembly which is freely moveable within the drain valve to shift a sleeve to open and close the drain ports. An uphole end of the check valve assembly is above the sleeve and seals to the top of a sleeve to shift the sleeve downhole and open the drain ports. A downhole end of the check valve is positioned below the sleeve in the valve. When the pump is turned on, the downhole end of the check valve assembly moves uphole to seal to the sleeve, creating a positive force to lift the sleeve to block the drain ports. The produced fluids flow through the valve and the production tubing to surface.

Abstract: A medicine bottle cap with time and day markers includes a main cap member, a first set of indicia, a second set of indicia, a central axle, a first arrow arm and a second arrow arm. The main cap member has a top and a circular sidewall that itself has an inside area with a bottle closure mechanism. Both sets of indicia are in a circular pattern located on the top of the cap. This first set of indicia is a fourteen position set of indicia, seven of which represent ante meridiem and each of the seven days of the week, and seven of which represent post meridiem and each of the seven days of the week. A central axle holds a rotatable first arrow arm that extends to the first set of indicia, and a second arrow arm that extends to the second set of indicia.

Abstract: A dosage reminder device (100) and medication carton (130) includes an indicator/support (140) formed from the carton's flat exterior wall (132) retentively engaging a rotateable ring (110). The ring includes dosage time period indicia (118) establishing (120) a dosage schedule and the indicator includes a co-operating next dose pointer (146) for selecting the next dosage time period so indicated. A patient can rotate the ring to align the next scheduled dosage time period with the indicator pointer. The indicator pointer and the scheduled dosage time period form a reminder indicating when the next dose is due or when the last dose was taken.

Abstract: A file marker device adapted for use with a folder. The folder to which the device can be affixed comprises a front flap having a first top edge, a rear flap connected to the front flap by a folder bottom, the rear flap having a second top edge. Hanging folders often also comprise a plurality of equally spaced parallel slots near at least a first or second top edge. The file marker device can comprise a support portion having two opposed end tabs, each of the end tabs being capable of engaging one of the plurality of equally spaced parallel slots; and an indicator arm moveably attached to the support portion, the indicator arm being moveable about a pivot point from a first position to a second position. In some embodiments the file marker device also comprises a shield portion and/or a portion adapted for exhibiting identifying indicia.

Abstract: A file folder blank can be folded to form a file folder. The file folder blank is designed for single side printing. The file folder blank can be folded to reveal printed indicia to two directions of a single panel. The printed indicia can be printed by a standard desktop type of printer. The printed indicia can include graphics, location indicator, content indicators, pictures, graphs or the like. In addition, top taps or side tabs are integrally formed with the file folder blank that can be printed with identifying indicia. In some applications, the identifying indicia comprises a repeating set of color bars that can be individualized during printing of the folder blank.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a multi-time indicating container, closure, and pill cup separator, comprising a common post manufactured container, with a round upper portion such as a round neck or a round body. The container further comprises a newly added rotatable pointer which is attached around the upper round portion of the container. The pointer can be attached to any post manufactured container with an upper round portion. The container further includes indicia which is applied around the upper portion of the container just below the rotatable pointer. The container further includes a post manufactured, separable double closure, which is separated using a double closure separator comprising a locking C-clamp having one standard round clamping tip and one newly added separator wedge blade tip.

Abstract: A container cap for a beverage or food container includes a main body having a threaded portion for engagement with a neck of a container, and a rotary disk mounted on the main body by engagement between a protrusion extending from the center of an upper surface of the main body and a slotted retaining member provided at a center of the underside of the rotary disk. The upper surface of the main body is provided with a plurality of marks and at least one window is provided in the rotary disk so that, as the rotary disk is rotated, selected ones of said plurality of marks can be made to appear in said at least one window.

Abstract: A signal device including a plurality of visually different flags in a mounting frame is secured to the top of a cubicle wall forming a part of a workstation, so that the status of the workstation user can be visually determined. The flags are normally in a generally horizontal position in the mounting frame, and may be in a recess in the top of the cubicle wall. A flag corresponding to the desired message is raised from the mounting frame, so that the flag is visible above the top of the cubicle wall.

Abstract: A medicinal recording device is provided which is placed directly upon a patient's medication container. The device consists of at least one strip having a plurality of indicia on raised or recessed detents. The indicia correspond to days and dosages. The patient slides a tab attached to the strip along the strip to the marked button corresponding to the day the medication is taken and/or the number of the dose taken. The tab engages the strip adjacent the selected indicia to releasably lock the tab in position and to prevent unintended sliding of the tab.

Abstract: A modular control panel for controlling the switching operations in a miniature- or model-railway-line has grooves which reproduce the railway tracks, contacts being applied to the groove bottoms in the neighborhood of railway crossings, and is improved by the provision of a rotatable direction indicator placed at every line intersection so as to mask one or the other branch of a line bifurcation with one of its halves, the other half of said indicator defining the correct direction.

Abstract: A register pointer for an electric utility meter is described as having a weakened section at which fracture can occur to break away the pointer when an attempt is made to tamper with the pointer, such as by manually resetting the pointer's position on the register to show a lower reading of energy consumption. Various forms of breakaway means are described which will permit separation of the pointer portion of the device from its shaft portion when a torque is applied to the pointer end.

Abstract: A signaling device for mounting on the front of a newspaper tube will pivot from a position perpendicular to the axis of the tube to one parallel with the axis of the tube upon the insertion of the newspaper or mail by virtue of the inserted material engaging one end of a pivoting arm which serves as the signaling device.

Abstract: A device for aiding in the selection of a balanced diet. The device comprises a container in which is disposed an upright artificial stem. On the outer walls of the container are displayed food group indicia for achieving a balanced diet. Mounted on the stem and extending radially outward therefrom are artificial branches. At the distal end of each branch is a vertically disposed plate having grooves along the perimeter thereof. The grooves are angularly spaced along the perimeter of the plate. Adjustably mounted on each plate is an artificial petal. The petals are adjustably movable along the vertical plates, respectively, in a pivotal movement in a vertical direction. Initially, the petals are disposed in the elevated position. Each petal designates a nutritional group of food represented by the indicia on the outer walls of the container. As food from a nutritional group is consumed, the associated petal is moved downwardly a distance commensurate with the quantity of nutritional value consumed.

Abstract: A pointer and scale indicating assembly for a radio receiver is disclosed. A scale with indicia thereon is fixed to a radio receiver chassis and a pointer arm is movably mounted in the chassis to positions corresponding to the frequency to which the radio receiver is tuned. A resilient pointer rod is mounted on the pointer arm and has an end portion visually cooperating with the scale indicia to indicate the receiver frequency. The pointer rod is hand insertable onto the pointer arm and is attached thereto by having an end portion of the pointer rod cooperating with a raised surface and a holding projection of the pointer arm.

Abstract: A changeable directional sign for providing observers with directional information to a particular location or event and including a generally rectangular sign board having a height dimension greater than its width dimension and with printed indicia on the face of the sign board describing a particular location or event. An elongate indicator of a length no greater than the height dimension of the sign board is pivotally secured to the rear of the sign board at a predetermined location on the upper medial portion of the sign board. The indicator, when manually positioned either upwardly, to the left, or to the right, extends in projecting relation beyond either the upper or side edges of the sign board to thereby indicate to the observer of the sign that the direction which should be followed to the particular location or event is either straight ahead, to the left, or to the right.

Abstract: A multi-dial, manually operable indicator employing color-coded, alphabetical and numerical indicia which are indicative of railway or road vehicle destinations, regardless of whether they may be local or outbound, major or minor vehicle defects requiring repair, other varied information requiring matching of indicia for proper vehicle selection, and other indicia affording useful information to the driver of the associated vehicle or highway or railway personnel.
