Fluid exits the narrow cavity at an outlet, which is positioned on the other side of the substrate, opposite the inlet and internal manifold. The substrate spins while in contact with the stripping solution to achieve a more uniform flow over the face of the substrate. • Patent number: 9797035
Abstract: The invention relates to applying a liquid to pasty hot-melt adhesive to a substrate (44), comprising a template (29), having at least one cavity (38) for the hot-melt adhesive, and also comprising an adhesive-transfer infeed (33), which is assigned to the template (29) and through which the adhesive can be introduced into the cavity (38). The special feature consists in that the apparatus (10) further comprises a transporting-fluid-supply opening (35), assigned to the template (29), and a device for displacing (13, 15), in particular pivoting, the template (29) between a first position, in which the cavity (38) is assigned to the adhesive-transfer infeed (33), and a second position, in which the cavity (38) is assigned to the transporting-fluid-supply opening (35), and therefore the adhesive, in the second position, can be discharged from the cavity (38) by a transporting fluid flowing through the transporting-fluid-supply opening (35).

Abstract: A liquid processing apparatus performs a liquid processing on a rotating substrate by supplying a processing liquid. Surrounding members surround a region including an upper space of a cup body surrounding the rotating substrate and provided with an opening above the substrate. An air flow forming portion forms a descending air flow from an upper side of the cup body. A bottom surface portion blocks between the cup body and the surrounding member along a circumferential direction. An exhaust port is provided above the bottom surface portion and outside the cup body to exhaust an atmosphere in a region surrounded by the surrounding members and the bottom surface portion.

Abstract: Aerosols can be created by filament stretching and breaking of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids by applying a strain to and stretching the fluid. The fluid is stretched along a strain pathway and forms a fluid filament between diverging surfaces. The stretched fluid filament breaks into droplets that can be harvested to form a mist or aerosol. The aerosol creation systems can include one or more pairs of counter-rotating rollers that are positioned adjacent to each other that stretch the fluid or a pair of pistons that move toward and away from each other to stretch the fluid. Some aerosol creation systems can include multiple pairs of counter-rotating rollers that are positioned in a circular, oval, or linear pattern. The aerosol creation system with multiple pairs of counter-rotating rollers can generate mist is one or more directions and can be positioned between two concentric rings or linearly, among other configurations.

Abstract: Forecasted drive unit dispatch is described. An inventory pod associated with a materials handling action is identified, and a first drive unit is requisitioned and dispatched to retrieve the inventory pod and return it to a materials handling station. Concurrently, the ongoing status of other materials handling actions are monitored over time. Based on the ongoing status, a timeframe for the completion of another materials handling action is determined. An inventory pod zone associated with the other materials handling action is identified, and a second drive unit is dispatched on a forecasted route toward the inventory pod zone based on the timeframe. Later, the second drive unit is redirected to a particular inventory pod within the inventory pod zone. The second drive unit arrives at the particular inventory pod in less time because it was dispatched on the forecasted route toward the inventory pod zone earlier.
