Abstract: A multi-lead leash system has a housing that is configured to removably capture ends of a plurality of animal leads within the housing with the leads extending outwardly from the housing. The opposite ends of the leads each have coupling to attach the lead to an animal collar. The housing and captured ends are configured such the capture ends are freely movable within the housing to prevent tangling of the respective leads while walking animals attached to the leads, for example. The housing also has a user lead coupling for the removable coupling of a user lead to the housing, the user lead being grasped by a user using the leash system.

Abstract: A dog rope leash with a storage function, including: a rope body, a handle on one end of the rope body, a clasp on the other end of the rope body, and a connection box mounted on the handle and/or rope body. The inside of the connection box has a storage cavity, and the surface of the connection box has an access port connected to the storage cavity. Garbage bags or other items in the storage cavity of the connecting box by designing the connection box on the dog rope leash, which is simple in structure and convenient in use.

Abstract: An animal leash system combined with a removable storage container and a bag dispenser. The system includes a housing that encloses a leash retracting mechanism configure to control movement of a leash extending thereout. The bag dispenser is associated with a dispensing section of the housing, and is configured to store at least one bag therein and is configured to allow removal of the bag. The storage container is slidably attachable with a base of the housing between an open position allowing access to an interior of said storage container, and a closed position. The system provides a single unit that includes the advantages of a retractable pet leash with the convenience of having bags ready for use to collect pet waste along with a storage container for disposing of waste filled bags.

Abstract: A pet leash. The pet leash includes an elongated strap defining a first end disposed oppositely a second end. The first end defines a fixed loop. The fixed loop is designed to be held by a user. A ring is defined on the second end of the elongated strap. The ring is slidably mounted around the elongated strap, between the first end and the second end thereof. This defines an adjustable loop. An attachment strap with an attachment end and an opposing leash end, is slidably disposed upon the adjustable loop defined by the elongated strap. The attachment strap includes a fastener disposed on the attachment end thereof.

Abstract: An animal leash handle wrap comprises a wrap component made in two halves, each half having a lower leash tunnel portion and an upper handle wraparound wing portion. The latter includes a pair of hook-and-loop fastener (i.e., Velcro®) strips on opposed sides and at opposite ends for looping about an existing leash handle and reconnecting to itself. The two tunnel portions are joined together, preferably by sewing, to form the tunnel/track through which a leash clasp/hook is fed when installing onto an existing pet leash. Methods for making and using this handle wrap are also disclosed.

Abstract: A dog harness is provided with a leash-holding element with controlled displacement for search dogs performing special work, comprising a back strap, a belly strap with a quick release buckle, and a chest strap running between the chest bone and the throat area. The leash-holding element with controlled displacement has an elastic design, stretching along the axis line, in line with the spine of the dog to a given extent, reducing the load on the dog when led on a leash, primarily during special mantrailing—search work, when the dog is sniffing the ground with an outstretched neck. The leash-holding element with controlled displacement moves on the axis line as a function of the forces acting on the leash-holding end element. The leash-holding element follows the mechanism of movement characteristic of search work, and allows smooth working for the search dog led on a leash.

Abstract: Bags and bag assemblies are provided for facilitating tangle-free storage of cords, ropes, cables, and other long and flexible members within the bags and bag assemblies. The body of the bag includes two compartments which are at least partially separated from each other by an internal divider. Each of the two compartments include outer surfaces which define respective openings that each include a closing mechanism for selectively switching between an open and closed configuration. The internal divider is positioned directly between the two openings, and the bag is configured to provide access to the cord in the bag from either of the openings.

Abstract: A pulley device includes a strap loop, a cord-securing component and cord respectively attached to the strap loop, a pulley component, the cord attached to the pulley component. The pulley component includes a housing, and may include a wheel that rotates within the housing. The wheel may have a circumferential groove or flat circumferential side to accommodate a cord or belt. The cord may form a loop, enabling the cord loop to be secured on the cord-securing component so that the pulley device may be worn on a person's wrist.

Abstract: A thumb supported leash is provided. The thumb supported leash includes a thumb tab grip having a first end and a second end, a lead portion having a first end and a second end, and a clasp. The first end of the thumb tab grip includes an aperture extending there through having a size to receive one thumb there through. The second end of the thumb tab grip is coupled to the first end of the lead portion. The second end of the lead portion is coupled to the clasp. The aperture of the thumb tab grip may receive a thumb from a hand there through and the remaining fingers of the hand may then grasp the second end of the thumb tab grip to operate the thumb supported leash.

Abstract: The invention generally relates to a kit useful for making dogs and people less anxious and for allowing costumed animals to easily be controlled with a leash. The kit may include a leash attachment apparatus, a pressure-applying harness, and a collar concealer. The leash attachment may include a body with a cavity having an opening at a first terminal end of the body, the opening configured to receive a terminal end of a leash; a ring coupled to a tubular elongated aperture situated at a second terminal end of the body, the tubular elongated aperture oriented perpendicular to the opening on the first terminal end of the body; and a costume coupler hingely attached to a side wall of the body adjacent to the opening and the ring, wherein the costume coupler comprises an attachment means disposed along an inner surface of the costume coupler for securing to a costume.

Abstract: A handle structure includes a loop portion through which a hand of a user is insertable, and which is dimensioned and configured such that once the hand is inserted, the wrist of the user is retained captively within the loop portion such that a controlled tether is maintained without requiring grasping by the fingers of the user.

Abstract: An illuminated animal restraint has an elongated non-retractable leash of a fixed length. The leash has a housing having a first selectively enabled light assembly which has a first light source assembly extending through the leash thereby illuminating a portion of the leash or the entire length of the leash. A second selectable enabled light assembly is also formed in the housing for effectively illuminating an area adjacent the leash for facilitating seeing and picking up animal waste due to the fixed length of the non-retractable leash.

Rear ends of the at least two ropes are interconnected to form a first connecting portion, the handle ring is in 360° rotary connection with the first connecting portion, front ends of the ropes are separated, the hooks used for connecting with dog collars are arranged on each of said ropes, an adjustable rope clamp is arranged between the ropes and connected to the ropes to separate the ropes into a front part and a rear part, the ropes between the first connecting portion and the adjustable rope clamp form the closed rear part, each of the ropes in the front part is of a separated structure, and the adjustable rope clamp can move back and forth along said ropes. The multifunctional dog chain can prevent accidents out of too long ropes.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a safety hook attachment for preventing the premature disconnect of a device from a cord. The safety hook attachment may include a fastening body configured to attach to the cord; a tail extending from the fastening body; and a connector attached to an end of the tail distal from the fastening body, wherein the connector may be configured to attach to the device to be connected to the cord.

Abstract: A cargo protection device and method for use on a ratchet tie-down or other cargo securing device. The cargo protection device comprises a tubular sleeve through which a ratchet tie-down can thread through. The sleeve comprises an opening in its side wall through which the ratchet handle can exit the sleeve and be accessed and actuated by a user. In use, the sleeve protects the cargo from abrasion while the cargo is being secured or transported.

Abstract: A mobile telephone adapts to use as a gundog training tool by interfacing with a dog collar using a wireless communication device, such as a WWAN text or IP interface, a WLAN interface or a radio transceiver that couples to the mobile telephone and is accessible to a training application running on the mobile telephone. The dog collar includes a GPS receiver to provide position information to the mobile telephone and a shock device to provide training stimulus to the dog. A wireless headset interfaces with the mobile telephone to provide audible indications of position to an end user, such as a dog point and tone indicators of directions to the dog. A wireless handset interfaces with the mobile telephone to accept inputs for application to the collar, such as training stimulus.

Abstract: A high visibility retractable safety strap and a method for securing a trailer to a towing vehicle is disclosed. The retractable safety strap is coupled to either the trailer or the towing vehicle. The high visibility nature of the strap increases safety for other motorists by making the presence of the coupling between the trailer and towing vehicle more perceivable. The safety straps also provide redundancy should the main coupling between the trailer and towing vehicle become detached.

Abstract: A control element for actuating an operating mechanism for a retractable shade. The retractable shade having a flexible operating cord retractable and extendable from the operating mechanism, the flexible operating cord having a free end. The control element is attached to the flexible operating cord and includes a core having a length, the core being stiffened along the length so as to resist becoming entangled and an upper end of the length that is attached to the free end of the flexible operating cord.

Abstract: A retractable pet leash includes a leash housing, a gear element located within the leash housing, a channel extending along a length of the leash housing, a bag container integrated into either a first side panel or a second side panel of the leash housing, and a pull trigger in communication with the gear element. The leash housing includes the first side panel secured to the second side panel, a back portion including a handle, and a front portion including an opening through which a string portion of the leash extends and retracts. The gear element is configured for extending and retracting the string portion of the leash. The channel is configured for receiving a removable coupling member of a flashlight. The pull trigger is alterable between a retracted position and a pulled position. In the retracted position, the gear element is locked. In the pulled position, the gear element is unlocked.

Abstract: A portable anchoring device providing a temporary anchoring means for pet leashes includes a round base containing a suction cup, a durable handle, and a clasp to which a dog leash can be attached. The suction cup provides removable attachment to a smooth horizontal or vertical surface via a second handle which pivots to actuate the suction cup and anchor the device.

Abstract: A pet leash has a main connector and a secondary security connector. The main connector and leash can be similar to a conventional dog leash product, where the main connector can connect to, for example, a harness worn by the pet. The secondary security connector can connect to, for example, a collar worn by the pet. With this type of connection, should one connector fail for any reason, the other connector may prevent the loss of the animal.

A symbol representative of one of a variety of pre-established pet temperaments may be provided to the harness and/or leash to allow for appreciating the temperament of a pet wearing the harness from a distance. The indication may include a first symbol if a pet's temperament is friendly, a second symbol if the pet's temperament is sometimes unfriendly, a third symbol if the pet's temperament is unfriendly and providing a fourth symbol if the pet's temperament is unclear or special. The apparatus includes a connector slidably mounted on the anchor for connecting an animal lead to the belt such that an upper end of the lead is selectively positionable along the anchor for guiding the animal circumferentially relative to the user while restraining the animal.

Abstract: A retractable pet leash such as, for example, for dogs, is provided. The retractable pet leash includes a hollow housing configured to be held by a hand of a user. A spool member may be disposed within the housing and arranged to rotate about an axis to release or retract an elongated leash element wrapped about the spool member. The spool member may be rotatably biased to retract the leash element within the housing. At least one grippable pressure element may be disposed on the housing to releasably engage the spool to slow and/or stop rotation of the spool when the user squeezes the housing. The elongated leash element may have an attachment portion at an end thereof to be coupled to a collar or harness on an animal.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a flexible rope insert having an elasticized central portion that is capable of stretching. This stretchable rope insert allows for limited stretching of the rope when an animal is roped. The flexible rope insert cushions the shock load on a steer or other animal that is stopped too abruptly with a rope.

Abstract: A handle for walking dogs on three leashes and for untangling crossed leashes while walking. The handle has three leash attachment locations, and the three locations correspond roughly to the vertices of a triangle. Regardless of the shape of the handle, or the positioning of the leash attachment locations on the handle, three lines produced to connect the three leash attachment locations will form the sides of a triangle. There are three graspable handle grips, each handle grip interposed between two of the three leash attachment locations. There is also an alternate handle for walking four dogs and a method for untangling leashes while walking.

Abstract: The present invention is lockable pet leash system employing a padlock having a locking pin that can be retracted to permit the padlock to be connected to a connector, with a combination lock adapted to prevent the pin from being retracted when the lock is locked. The system includes a leash with a padlock at both the collar end and handhold end of the leash and a collar-attachable lock designed to be retrofitted onto a pet collar. The collar padlock can be attached to a loop on a pet collar. The handhold padlock can be attached to a leash connector on the leach to form a loop that can be formed around an anchor, such as a pole, and thereby the leash can be locked to the anchor.

Abstract: Disclosed is an Animal Security Leash comprising a pre-cut length of leash material folded over and secured to create a first loop end and a swivel hook loop end, with a plurality of loop security points at ascertainable distances with a swivel hook secured in a swivel hook loop between a swivel hook security point and the swivel hook loop end. The Animal Security Leash may be looped around an object and then looped through itself around to create a shorter fixed leash. A user may also grasp the Animal Security Leash between any of the plurality of loop security points and have as much comfort and control as though holding a loop end of a typical leash.

Abstract: A leash caddy system for use with a retractable leash is provided. The retractable leash has a handle. The system comprises a cover with an attachment mechanism secured to the cover for releasably securing the cover around the retractable leash through the handle of the retractable leash. A plurality of guide hoops is mounted to the cover. A first securement mechanism associated with a first guide hoop and a fourth guide hoop secures the cover about the retractable leash. A second securement mechanism associated with the second guide hoop and the fourth guide hoop secures the cover about the retractable leash. Upon securing the cover about the retractable leash, the cover forms a pocket for receiving the cover therein.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pet retractor, more particularly to an emergency self-locking pet retractor, comprising a collar, a leash, a leash spool, a shell body and a grip handle, in which it also comprises an emergency self-locking device. The emergency self-locking device includes a switch sliding block disposed on an external surface of the shell body and inserted into the shell body, a self-locking sliding block and a return spring thereof disposed in the shell body and attached to the switch sliding block, a self-locking baffle and a return torsion spring thereof disposed on an external surface of the leash spool and whose one end is hinged on the leash spool, and a self-locking baffle block disposed at the corresponding part on the external surface of the leash spool. When the pet suddenly breaks out or rises up, the emergency self-locking device can automatically lock the spool to prevent the leash from being pulled out, so that the pet cannot run around, attack people or damage properties.

Abstract: A leash is provided having a handle that can be disassembled by removing a clasp of the handle from an attachment point. The clasp can be attached to any one of a plurality of attachment points along a length of the strap of the leash to secure a pet to a stationary object while maintaining control of the pet. This provides for a quick and easy system to secure the pet to the stationary object.

Abstract: An animal lead is arranged for gripping by a handler at one end, and has a releasable attachment means for a collar or harness at the other end. The attachment means has a hooked body (4) with an aperture (20) closed by a gate (7) in a release frame (5). The release frame moves relative to the body and has an open configuration in which the gate is retracted from the gap, and a closed configuration in which the gate is held by the release frame to close the gap. The gate moves relative to the release frame whereby the hooked body may be clipped into a fastening loop of a collar or harness by the gate pushed aside and springing back to close the gap. The release frame has a decoupling member (10) arranged to sweep across the aperture as the release frame is moved from the closed to the open configuration, so that the decoupling member urges the collar to disengage by sweeping a rim of its fastening loop out of the aperture through the gap.

The securing device (13, 25) has an actuating mechanism (33) for detaching the securing device (13, 25).

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a pet leash assembly having a weighted hand grip. The hand grip has a first end and a second end. A leash is operationally connected to the first end. A container is coupled to the second end which is opposite the first end. The leash assembly may optionally include a second container, and a removable cover portion may be reversibly coupled to the containers for closing the containers. The weighted hand grip is configured so that, when in use, the weighted material is disposed in the palm of a user. Also disclosed is a kit comprising the components of a pet leash assembly.

Abstract: A dog walking tube comprising a hollow tube having a first end and a second end. The hollow tube has a portion that will hold fecal matter waste bags. The opposite or second end of the hollow container receives and stores used fecal matter waste bags. The dog walking tube may allow used and new fecal mater waste bags to be held within the dog walking tube and not the dog walkers hand during the walk.

Abstract: A leash assembly includes a belt and at least one connector piece coupled to the belt. The belt can be worn by a subject around the torso, shoulders, neck or wrist. Each connector piece is configured to move along at least a portion of the belt. In some embodiments, the connector piece is a link configured to be receive the belt and to move along the belt. Alternatively, the belt has one or more tracks, in which the connector piece is configured to travel on thereby allowing the connector to travel along the belt. Each connector piece is coupled with a leash. In some embodiments, the leash has a retractable end. The leash assembly can include adornments and/or a carrier coupled to the belt.

Abstract: A pet leash comprised of a rope made of nylon, or any other suitable material. The rope is comprised on one end with a handle and on an opposing end with an o-ring. Between the handle and o-ring, a foam piece is provided which provides a cushion against the rope of the leash and the pet or animal. Between the handle and foam piece a sliding hook is located which allows the leash to connect to a pet's traditional collar, when the leash is worn by the animal. The hook slides on the rope of the leash and is easily moved along the rope to fit a variety of animals of varying shapes and sizes. When the pet or animal pulls on the leash, the sliding hook allows the leash rope to retract around the belly and also pulls the head back humanely stopping the animal.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a dual pet leash, including a spherical-shaped or ellipsoid-shaped or cone-shaped or cylindrical-shaped or egg-shaped detangling element, a handle located adjacent the detangling element, and two or more pet attachment portions or straps extending from the detangling element, the pet attachment portions spaced approximately equidistant from each other, or spaced on approximately opposite sides of the detangling element. Latches for attaching to the pet attachment portions to a pet's collar or pet's harness are also provided. The detangling element is configured to rotate about the bolt 14 identified in the above captioned patent application, and ensuring that the leashes have different lengths contributes to the detangling and better functioning of the untangler device.
