Abstract: A wearable apparatus for using a leash in a hands-free manner is provided. The apparatus includes a centrally positionable connection hub connectable to the leash, first and second straps structured to extend over a person shoulders, third and fourth straps structured to extend around a portion of a person's waist, and a back support connected to the first, second, third, and fourth straps. The first, second, third, and fourth straps are configured to removeably and releasably attach to the connection hub.

Abstract: A leash system for restraining an animal is provided. The system comprises a primary leash and a secondary leash, the secondary leash being selectively securable to a portion of the primary leash and translatable thereon. The system may be controlled or operated by a single user in a first arrangement, and at least two users in a second arrangement.

A rigid rod may be removably received within the interior pocket of the flexible sleeve through the opening to optionally make the animal leash rigid for training and/or controlling an animal (e.g., a dog) releasably attached thereto. An attachment portion may be coupled at or near the distal end of the sleeve and may be configured to be releasably attached to a collar or harness on the animal.

The locking device also includes a housing. The housing defines at least a cavity, a first bore for receiving the first movable object, and a second bore which opens into the cavity and intersects with the first bore, and in which the second movable object is at least partially disposed. Upon movement of the first movable object into a locking position within the first bore, the second movable object is caused to be moved to a position securing an external object within the cavity.

Abstract: A dog walking tube comprising a hollow tube having a first end and a second end. The hollow tube has a portion that will hold fecal matter waste bags. The opposite or second end of the hollow container receives and stores used fecal matter waste bags. The dog walking tube may allow used and new fecal mater waste bags to be held within the dog walking tube and not the dog walkers hand during the walk.

Abstract: Pet leash assemblies, pet collar assemblies, and methods of using the same. Pet leash assemblies include a tether and a gated clasp coupled to the tether. The gated clasp includes a body, a gate hinged to the body, and a biasing member that pivotally biases the gated clasp to a closed configuration. The gate may include a projection that extends away from the body. When the projection is urged toward a terminal region of the body, the gate is pivoted against a bias of the biasing member and the gated clasp is configured to an open configuration, in which a coupling ring of a collar may be inserted into and removed from a passage defined between the gate and the body. The clasp may include a sliding actuator with a gate-engagement surface positioned to engage and pivot the gate against its bias when the actuator is translated toward the gate.

Abstract: The invention is a device, method, and system for walking a dog. More particularly, the invention is a container that is in the shape of a dog house with a hidden attic compartment. The main house portion holds bags and cleaning wipes. The attic portion of the house may, in a hidden manner, hold credit card, keys, or money. The container is designed to attach to a pet leash and be used when walking a pet.

Abstract: A security leash includes a main leash and a secondary leash. Should the main leash be dropped by an animal's handler, or if the clip at the end of the main leash should fail, or if the collar on the animal should fail, the secondary leash may continue to secure the animal.

Abstract: A leash module including a retention opening configured to receive and retain a used pet waste bag that has been closed via a tied knot, and a bowl portion configured to receive and retain water for drinking by a pet. The leash module is configured to be removably coupled to a leash assembly. The retention opening includes a bag receipt opening sized and dimensioned to allow for insertion of the tied knot of the used pet waste bag, and a bag retention opening extending from the bag receipt opening, the bag retention opening being narrower than the bag receipt opening and being sized and dimensioned to prevent passage of the tied knot of the used pet waste bag.

Abstract: An architecture is presented that provides a pet leash device designed primarily for pet owners or dog walkers that walk more than one dog. The pet leash device comprises a housing comprising a first and second side portions, a first leash secured to the first side portion, a second leash secured to the second side portion, and a handle secured to the housing. The pet leash device further comprises a rotating pivot component that secures the handle to the housing and allows the housing and the handle to rotate. Additionally, a first connector is secured to an end of the first leash and a second connector is secured to an end of the second leash to secure the first and the second leashes each to a respective dog's collar. Typically, the leashes are retractable within the housing, and a push button controls the extension and retraction of the leashes.

Abstract: Improvements in an animal leash are disclosed. The leash is present invention relates to a leash for an animal such as a dog that leaves the owners hands free. The leash is wrapped around the wrist of a user and includes a pocket for keys, money, ID and or credit card. The leash is made from a fixed rope or belting material or can be made from a stretchable or coiled material or a combination thereof. The leash is secured on the user with a removable fastening system that allows the user to adjust the diameter of the strap around their wrist to allow the user to jog or walk without holding the leash. The securing system can also be adjustable to different degrees of break-away force to prevent damage to a user or animal if the user or the tethered animal becomes stopped or restrained.

Abstract: An adjustable leash with automatic slack take-up assembly comprising a pulley buckle and cam buckle. The lead end of the leash strap is affixed to a top opening of the pulley buckle, and the leash body is movably threaded in operative order through a first opening of the cam buckle, a bottom opening of the pulley buckle, and a second opening of the cam buckle. In operation, a user maintains a grip at all times on the lead handle. The user depresses the spring loaded tab with the user's other hand. While depressing the spring loaded tab, the user pulls a pull tab on the cam buckle with the second hand to either lengthen or shorten the device. Once a desired length has been formed, with automatic slack take-up as the leash length is adjusted, the user releases the spring loaded tab to lock the device into position.

Abstract: The present invention is a multifunctional pet leash storage device for collecting and disposing animal waste. The multifunctional pet leash storage device comprises a leash housing, a waste storage compartment, a sanitary compartment, a sanitary wipe dispensing slot, a sanitary bag dispensing slot, a leash securing hole, a front lid button, a rear lid button, a handle and a battery storage compartment. The sanitary compartment includes a sanitary wipe storage area and a sanitary bag storage area. The sanitary wipe dispensing slot and the sanitary bag dispensing slot are bilaterally symmetrical to each other. The bilaterally symmetrical arrangement of the sanitary wipe dispensing slot and the sanitary bag dispensing slot provides good balance characteristics to the multifunctional pet leash storage device and an easy access of the at least one sanitary bag and the at least one sanitary wipe from the sanitary compartment.

Abstract: A multi-pet leash is provided. The multi-pet leash includes a feeder leash and two or more leader leashes connected to the feeder leash. The feeder leash comprises a first end and a second end, with the second end slidably connected onto itself to form an adjustable loop portion. Each leader leash comprises a first end slidably connected to the adjustable loop portion of the feeder leash. The second end of each leader leash is attached to an animal or pet allowing a handler to control the pets simultaneously utilizing one feeder leash.

Abstract: A leash is described allowing a handler to safely and comfortably lead a dog through normal surroundings and conditions requiring close control of the dog. The handler may keep undivided attention on the prevailing circumstances when acquiring and releasing close control of the dog. A short leash is placed so the handler can quickly slide a hand down a plastic coated steel cable to grasp the short leash handle without looking down or slowing pace. Elastic chord provides cushioning between handler and dog. Overall length of the leash is such that the dog will be prevented from being tangled with the leash. The leash can be carried in a pocket or purse due to its being light and compact.

Abstract: An animal leash is provided for affixing an animal to a pole, tree, or other inanimate object. The leash has a strap having a proximal end and distal end. The proximal end is formed as a loop handle for being held by a person. The leash has a first clip affixed to the leash's distal end. In addition, the leash has a second clip affixed to the strap near its proximal end, but immediately distal to the strap's loop handle. The animal leash has a ring which is both slidable along the length of the strap between the leash's first clip and second clip. In addition, the ring can be affixed near the leash's proximal end by clipping to the leash's second clip.

Abstract: A leash assembly designed to attach at least one waste holding device, such as a plastic bag, in such a manner that the plastic bag is able to swivel about and not get tangled as the dog moves from side to side. This eliminates the need of the person walking the dog to constantly move the leash from one hand to the other hand in order to prevent the waste bag from getting tangled. In other words, as the dog move in different directions the waste bag holding device is able to adjust its' position by swiveling about the device attached to the leash allowing the walker to have their hands free. The swivel can also be adapted to hold other items such as keys, extra bags for dog cleanup and hand wipes. All of these items would also be able to swivel about the device.

A pet torso-engaging strap is attached to, and extends from the distal end for engagement around a torso of the pet. The support member is sized in length to position and restrain the pet held within the strap encircling the torso of the pet from substantial movement centrally within the bathing tub. A second restraint acting together in side-by-side fashion may also be provided for enhanced pet movement control.

A bell housing is mounted to the handle assembly, and the bell housing has an upper bell portion, a middle bell portion, a lower bell portion and a bell flange. A plurality of fingers are connected at a common joint within the bell housing, and the plurality of fingers have an extended position and a retracted position. A liner assembly includes a liner bag having a closed end and a liner rim.

Abstract: A flexible omnidirectionally reflective pet leash and collar having a handle and a cylindrical central core is housed within a cylindrical omnidirectionally reflective sleeve that reflect an incoming light beam back in the same direction as it is emanated. The reflected light beam provides accurate illumination of the pet owner's hand, pet leash and the location of the pet during dusk or nighttime hours. This flexible omnidirectionally reflective pet leash is created by surrounding a central core with a cylindrically reflective sleeve comprising a flexible retroreflective sheet and being operable to surround the central cylindrical core thereby providing omnidirectional reflectivity. The flexible retroreflective sheet has retroreflectors bonded thereto with a transparent bond layer.

The collar includes a collar body portion having two or more lengths of wire rope that have a first end with a swaged termination that is attached to a fastener and a second end with a swaged termination that is attached to an acceptor. The acceptor engages the fastener wherein the engagement between the acceptor and fastener is adjustable. In another embodiment, a chew-proof animal leash is provided. The leash has a leash body portion having a length of wire rope, an owner end with a swaged termination that is attached to a carabiner, wherein the carabiner is attached to a handle, and an animal end wherein the animal end has a swaged termination that is attached to a swiveled snap-hook.

The first ring is secured around a periphery of a cylindrical post via opening and closing the locking mechanism. The hinge is situated opposing the locking mechanism and the first ring is foldable about the hinge for ease of transport and storage. The leash fastening member may slide freely in relation to the first ring during in-use periods, and a leash may be secured to the leash fastening member allowing an animal to be tethered to the cylindrical post.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed technology include a device and method for training children to walk near their parents and encouraging children to do same. A carabiner is connected to a first strap, such as a wrist strap, as well as one or a plurality of handle straps. Each handle strap comprises, or is operatively connected to, a respective handle. The handle strap is removably engaged with the carabiner. That is, handle straps may be added or removed at will to change the number of straps attached to the carabiner or other connecting mechanism. In this manner, a parent may hold onto one strap (or attach such a strap to another device such as a stroller or backpack and instruct a plurality of children to walk with him or her.

Abstract: A leash assembly includes a housing having a hand grip. A leash forming part of the assembly includes a first end and a second end that defines a leash handle. An intermediate section of the leash is extendable and retractable through the housing. The assembly also includes features for allowing travel of the leash in a first direction through the housing in response to a user pulling on the leash handle, and simultaneously preventing travel of the leash in an opposite second direction through the housing. Another feature of the assembly allows selective disengagement of the leash so that it may travel in the opposite second direction through the housing.

Abstract: A leash assembly designed to attach at least one waste holding device, such as a plastic bag, in such a manner that the plastic bag is able to swivel about and not get tangled as the dog moves from side to side.
