Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a pressurized gas launcher. The pressurized gas launcher includes a pressure source providing a quantity of high-pressure gas, a launcher barrel having a first end and a second end having an opening, and a bladder. The bladder is housed within the launcher barrel and selectively fluidically coupled to the pressure source. When filled with pressurized gas, the bladder plastically deforms. The gas launcher further includes a projectile housed within the launcher barrel with the bladder positioned between the first end of the launcher barrel and the projectile. The projectile is dischargeable from the launcher barrel when the bladder ruptures when gas in the bladder exceeds a pressure threshold.

Abstract: An air gun trigger system, working in conjunction with an air gun, having a firing system, moving between a rear position in a ready state and a forward position for firing bullets, the air gun trigger system comprising: a holding element; a first trigger device; a second trigger device; and a driving unit. The holding element holds the firing system in the ready state and when triggered releases the firing system therefrom to move towards the forward position. The first trigger device is manually operated to trigger the holding element. The second trigger device automatically triggers the holding element and is driven by the driving unit. Thus the holding element is triggered to release the firing system from the ready state by either the first trigger device or the second trigger device. The driving unit causes a continuous movement of the second trigger device, resulting in fully automatic firing of bullets.

  • Patent number: 5975068
Abstract: A toy gun having a pneumatic projectile launcher for launching a foam projectile and a retractable sighting mechanism which automatically raises to an operative viewing position when the gun is cocked. The pneumatic launcher having a plunger is concealed by a sliding housing which simulates the action of an automatic weapon, and the sight is pivotally mounted to the housing. When the gun is cocked by sliding the housing rearwardly relative to the body of the gun, the sight contacts an actuator which rotates the sight to an operative viewing position. When the gun is fired, the housing moves forwardly in unison with the plunger, and the sight automatically rotates to its inoperative position.

Abstract: A launching chamber (20) with an exhaust orifice (32) covered by an obstruction member (34, 36) is in fluid-pressure dependent mechanical communication with an equilibrium chamber (40) such that when the two chambers are in fluid pressure equilibrium and fluid pressure in the equilibrium chamber is decreased to a predetermined amount less than the fluid pressure in the launching chamber the obstruction member uncovers the exhaust orifice. The equilibrium chamber (40) is vented through a turbine tube (70) which drives a turbine wheel (72).

  • Patent number: 5701879
Abstract: An air compressed gun (10) is provided having a stock (11), a barrel (12), a pressure chamber (16), a pressure actuatable release valve (18) and a manual air pump (14). The pump has an elongated cylinder (25) having a port (38) in fluid communication with the release valve, and a plunger (26) telescopically mounted for reciprocal movement within the cylinder. The plunger has an O-ring type seal (31). The forward movement of the plunger seal towards the port pressurizes air within the cylinder which is transferred to the release valve and pressure chamber. The continued movement of the plunger seal past the port causes a portion of the pressurized air to be released so as to actuate the pressure actuatable release valve to release the pressurized air within the pressure chamber into the barrel.

  • Patent number: 5695153
Abstract: A launch system for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that is contained in a portable trailer where all the components of the launch platform can be unfolded and/or attached to each other by hand using removable pins attached to the platform by lanyards. The platform includes launch extension mechanisms that insure a proper launch angle. Wing rails that fold into and are pinned into position to support the UAV before a launch. The launcher also includes a crane that provides a fixed position lifting crank and a movable boom with a lifting cable that is not exposed to getting tangled during movements of the boom when positioning the UAV on the launcher. The trailer has an air compressor and air tanks, and a foot operated release valve that supplies compressed air for a piston based launch mechanism that is controlled by the pilot. The system includes enclosed compartments that are capable of storing components for several vehicles.
