Abstract: A roasting and glazing apparatus includes a roaster, an agitator mounted within the roaster bowl for mixing a mixture of nuts and sugar during a roasting or glazing operation, a heater controlled to heat the roaster bowl during the roasting or glazing operation, and a cover removably mounted to the roaster bowl. The cover includes a reservoir for receiving water from a user and restricting water flow from the reservoir into the mixture of nuts and sugar in the roaster bowl. The cover and the roaster bowl together define a vent on a side of the cover opposite the reservoir. The vent is configured to direct steam out of the roaster bowl in a direction away from the reservoir.

Abstract: A grill is provided including a base structure. An upper platen assembly is connected to the base structure and includes an upper grilling plate. A lower platen assembly is connected to the base structure and includes a lower grilling plate. A plurality of leveling mechanisms is mounted to the base structure and arranged in contact with the lower grilling plate. The leveling mechanisms are configured to move the lower grilling plate relative to the upper grilling plate. At least one grease receptacle has an inboard sidewall and an outboard sidewall connected by a compartment configured to receive grease from a grilling surface of the lower plate. The inboard sidewall is mounted to the lower grilling plate at or below the grilling surface.

The ring has a symmetric and decreasing diameter at different heights of the ring and having an opening therein. The ring can be formed of silicone.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device for capturing liquid splash and overflow during the cooking process. A splash gutter comprises a seal region and a deflector region, with the seal region defining a perimeter of an aperture dimensioned for receipt of cookware. The seal region is operable to conform to the outer surface of a sidewall of the cookware. The deflector region is joined to the seal region, with the deflector region depending upwardly and outwardly from the seal region. The deflector region is adapted to bound a capture zone when joined with cookware.

Abstract: A device for recovering, harnessing and reutilizing heat from along a side wall of a cooking vessel, a cooking vessel comprising such device, and a method of using such device. The device can be constructed as part of the cooking vessel or can be an accessory that attaches to different sized cooking vessels via adjusting means. Specifically, the device is made of a highly conductive and durable metal or metal alloy and comprises a skirt-like body, extending from the side of the cooking vessel and attached to a perforated slip-like portion that may be attached to or integrated into the side wall of the cooking vessel. The device harnesses and reutilizes heat from the underside of the body and safely and efficiently transfers the heat to the cooking vessel through conduction. The device can further comprise diffusers, a bottom portion with a plurality of ventilation openings, and a heat shield.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device for capturing liquid splash and overflow during the cooking process. The splash gutter comprises a seal region, a reservoir region, and a deflector region. The seal region defines a perimeter of an aperture dimensioned for receipt of cookware. The seal region is operable to conform to the outer surface of a sidewall of cookware. The reservoir region is joined to the seal region, with the reservoir region having a first end downwardly depending from the seal region to a bottom and rising to a second end, defining a reservoir therein. The deflector region is joined to the reservoir region, the deflector region depending upwardly from the second end of the reservoir region.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a frying apparatus and, in particular, to a frying apparatus comprising a cooking container for containing oil or the like for cooking a turkey, a chicken, or seafood; a shield for shielding the operator from oil splatters and preventing the over-spill of the oil from the cooking container; a supporting stand for holding the cooking container; and a plurality of securing straps for securing the cooking container to the supporting stand such that the cooking container is stably positioned onto the supporting stand of the frying apparatus. One embodiment of the present invention contemplates a cooking container generally configured to removably receive the shield such that the shield, when inserted into the open end of the cooking container securely adjoins and abuts the cooking container so that oil does not spill-over between the shield and the cooking container.
