Abstract: A moisture-retaining, quality-preserving and aroma-keeping vacuum aluminum-plated inner liner for cigarettes and method of making the inner liner, the inner liner including a raw paper layer, an upper surface of the raw paper layer being provided with a hot melt sealing layer, a water-based sealing layer, a vacuum aluminum-plated layer, and a water-based protective layer, where a lower surface of the raw paper layer is provided with a moisture returning layer and the inner liner further includes a moisture-retaining and aroma-keeping layer disposed on the upper surface or the lower surface of the raw paper layer.

Abstract: An apparatus has a housing that has a first section and a second section. The first section has a first compartment for storing a cigarette and a second compartment for containing a cutting device having a blade. The first compartment is sealed from the second compartment. A slide button on the housing allows the user to move the cutting device within the second compartment. The second section has an opening and a hollow interior that are sized to allow a user to insert a portion of a cigarette through the opening and into the hollow interior. A user inserts the used portion of a cigarette into the opening and hollow interior and then uses the slide button to move the blade into the hollow interior to cut off the used portion of the cigarette. The user then places the remaining portion of the cigarette in the first compartment.

Abstract: A smoking and drinking apparatus includes a body member defining an air chamber. A drink reservoir is situated in the air chamber defining a liquid impermeable drink chamber. The drink reservoir is inwardly displaced from the body member to form an air chamber therebetween. A bezel is mounted to the upper edge of the body member that defines a bore in communication with the inner reservoir. The bezel includes an inhalation port through which air is selectively inhaled from the air chamber and an exhalation port through which air is selectively exhaled by a user into the air chamber. The inhalation port is configured to receive a cigarette into the air chamber. A lighting element is positioned in the air chamber for lighting the cigarette when energized. A filter and fan assembly are positioned in the air chamber to filter and exhaust air from the air chamber.

Abstract: An apparatus has a housing that has a first section and a second section. The first section has a first compartment for storing a cigarette and a second compartment for containing a cutting device having a blade. The first compartment is sealed from the second compartment. A slide button on the housing allows the user to move the cutting device within the second compartment. The second section has an opening and a hollow interior that are sized to allow a user to insert a portion of a cigarette through the opening and into the hollow interior. Abstract: A device to process cigarette butts has top and bottoms sections, one pivotably mounted on the other for rocking movement between open and closed positions. The bottom section has two access holes which are opened and closed by the rocking movement. When the holes are open, a user can insert a butt into one access hole and then can rock the top section, thus cutting the butt into a filter tip, and tobacco and paper materials. The tobacco and paper materials fall through a passage from the one access hole to the ground but do not cause a litter problem since they quickly biodegrade. The filter tips can be inserted into the second access hole into a storage space for later treatment and disposal. The bottom section has a thinned rear portion which allows increased rocking amplitude while minimizing the device thickness.

Abstract: A cigar cutter has a body formed of a pair of plates having aligning orifices defining a passage for the head of a cigar to be cut. A pair of opposed cutting blades, movable toward and away from each other within the body each have a cutting edge, which cooperates with the opposing cutting edge during toward movement to cut the cigar head. Each of a pair of bridges is affixed to one of the cutting blades and moveable therewith. A spring engages the bridges and biases them toward an extended position wherein the cutting edges are moved away from each other within the body. A latch automatically engages both of the blades approximate the inward terminus of their toward movement and maintains the blades in a retracted storage position wherein the edges are not exposed. The cutting edges are each inwardly tapered to cause the edges and the cigar to cooperate to force the opposing blades together during their toward movement to automatically sharpen the blades.

Abstract: A cigar cutting tool is disclosed having a housing defining an aperture sized to receive a cigar head, a first cutting element having a sharpened linear edge movable relative to and across the aperture, a second cutting element having a sharpened tubular edge extendable from the housing and having a cutting diameter, and a third cutting element having a sharpened tubular edge extendable from the housing and having a cutting diameter smaller than the cutting diameter of the second cutting element. The first cutting element is movable between an open position exposing the aperture and a closed position fully covering the aperture and protecting the sharpened linear edge within the housing. The tool may be used for selectively causing one of a plurality of openings in a cigar head.

The tool includes a number of implements moveable between closed and open positions in a recess of a base and outwardly of the bases respectively. The implements include a cigar gripping implement that functions as a cigarstand, a scissors for cutting a cigar, a cigar bandslicer that also includes a bottle opener, and a cigar poker that includes a screwdriver end.

Abstract: A device for safely cutting the lit end of a cigarette, extinguishing the cut-off burning ashes, and storing the unused portion of the cigarette for further use is provided. The cigarette cutter-extinguisher device is characterized by an actuator assembly with an internal actuator element, a cutter-extinguisher assembly which is characterized by an internal cutting element which cuts the end of a burning cigarette when inserted into the device and provides a barrier inhibiting oxygen availability to smoldering ash deposited in a receptacle. The internal cutting element allows for the safe use of the cigarette cutter-extinguisher device. The device enables a user to partially smoke a cigarette, cut-off and extinguish ashes from a burning cigarette while restoring the cigarette to a fresh end and store the cigarette for potential further use or safe discarding.

Abstract: A combination wick cutter and lighter includes a tube connected to a handle with an opening in the end of the tube into which a wick may be received vertically along a tube longitudinal axis. When the wick is in the opening, the user moves an actuator to cut the wick and further moves the actuator to ignite the wick. Because the tube is advanced vertically, a candle wick in a candle holder with high sides relative to the position of the wick may be trimmed and lit.

Abstract: A compact dispensing tube opener for accessing contents of a dispensing tube having a dispensing tip and an inner seal. The opener includes a housing with first and second passageways therein meeting at an angle at an intersection. A blade carriage is movable in the second passageway and across the intersection at one end thereof, a manually accessible portion at an opposite end thereof extending from the housing. A cooperative guide structure at the housing and the blade carriage maintains carriage slidability within the housing during use without binding. Return springs are maintained in the housing for returning the carriage after use. A dispenser tube tip locator is slidably maintained at the housing adjacent to an opening to the first passageway and has plurality of angled passages therethrough each with a different diameter. A lance is mounted at the housing for puncturing the seal, and is pivotable into and out of a channel defined crosswise in the housing.

Abstract: A combined cigarette cutter and container includes a cigarette cutter illustratively engaged to an upper inside surface of a lid of a container which holds preferably a single cigarette (or cigar). The user may partially smoke it, cut off the used portion using the cutter, insert the unused portion in the container, and close the lid. This provides a convenient carrying mechanism to permit later consumption of the cigarette or cigar. In other embodiments, the case has curved major surfaces with a fixedly-fastened cutter adjacent to one of the end walls. The cutter can be omitted to provide a case.

Abstract: A combination lighter having dual cutting assemblies for severing the end of a cigar and punching a hole therein is disclosed. The device includes a lighter body which supports a lighter mechanism, a first cutting assembly, and a second cutting assembly. The first cutting assembly may be a guillotine style cutter having a housing which supports a moveable blade. The first cutting assembly is moveable between a closed position adjacent the lighter body, and an open position where it extends from the lighter body. The second cutting assembly may be a punch style cutter having a tubular-shaped body and a cutting end for cutting an opening in the end of a cigar. The second cutting assembly may be moveable between a retracted position, where the cutting end is substantially flush with an end of the lighter body, and an operative position where the cutting end extends from the lighter body.

Abstract: The invention provides a lighter comprising a body and an end portion having a hinged connection with the body. The body includes a recess at its lower end. The end portion includes a cigar cutter, comprising an elongated generally tubular blade, extending from a surface of the end portion. The end portion is movable between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the cutter extends within the recess and is not exposed. In the open position, the cutter does not extend into the recess. The lighter may also comprise a retainer comprising a leaf spring attached to the lower end of the body, and a slot within the end portion. In the closed position, the leaf spring is received within the slot, retaining the end portion in the closed position. Also, a lighter fuel inlet valve extends from the body and is within the recess thereof. The inlet valve is accessible through a channel in the end portion when the end portion is closed.

Abstract: A cigar cutting and snuffing tool comprising a cutter sub-assembly having a tubular cutter and a pusher element slidingly mounted therewithin, together with a snuffer barrel tightly mounted on the outside of the cutter member. A cigar can be placed into the barrel and brought into contact with the tubular cutter, which can then have a plug of tobacco cut from its cap end. The plug of tobacco is held within the tubular cutter until expelled from the cutter by moving the pusher element within the cutter. The snuffer barrel is sized to receive cigars of a series of ring sizes. When a lit cigar is desired to be extinguished, the cigar is inserted and seated within the barrel, with the lit end brought up against and impaled upon the cutter assembly. The tight mounting of the snuffer barrel on the tubular cutter creates an air tight compartment when the cigar is seated within the snuffer barrel.

A cigarette is stored inside of the housing and cap member by fitting the annular member over a cigarette and then connecting the housing to the cap member via the annular member. A blade element is coupled to the housing and the housing has a blade slot for allowing entrance of the blade element into a housing cavity. To stop smoking a partially smoked cigarette, the burning end of the cigarette is inserted into the housing and the burning end of the cigarette is cut of with the blade element. To expel the cut off end of the cigarette, the cover member is removed from the housing allowing the cut off end to exit the housing.

Each of the cigar cutting members is slidably positioned in one of the slots such that the cutting edges are positioned substantially opposite one another in the hollow cap. A handle portion is preferably hinged to the cutting portion of each of the cigar tip cutting members, with each handle portion being positioned outside of the cap. The handle portions are preferably provided with a gripping tip for facilitating manual movement of the cigar tip cutting member in relation to the cap. The cap preferably has a pair of recesses formed in an outer wall thereof.

A second tubular blade is connected to the second tube and encloses the first tubular blade. The first tubular blade and the second tubular blade can be alternatively used to cut cigars with different sizes by moving the first tube and the second tube relative to each other.

In the open position, the cutter does not extend into the recess. The lighter may also comprise a retainer comprising a leaf spring attached to the lower end of the body, and a slot within the end portion. In the closed position, the leaf spring is received within the slot, retaining the end portion in the closed position. Also, a lighter fuel inlet valve extends from the body and is within the recess thereof. The inlet valve is accessible through a channel in the end portion when the end portion is closed.

The device has a tubular body with a first end for receiving a disposable lighter and a collar which removably secures the lighter within the body. A cutter element is secured in a second end of the tubular body. The cutter element has first and second opposed side elements and a cutting member, or knife, pivotally engaged between the first and second side members. The first and second side members define an opening for receiving the end of the cigar. The cutting member is pivotally rotated from a first, or open, position to a second, or closed, position in an arcuate manner through the opening, whereby the end of the cigar is cut.

Abstract: A golf tee shaped punch and cutter having a plurality of different shaped chambers formed within a tapered body portion with a cutter assembly placed therein. The tapered body portion forms a narrow punch end and a wide cutter end having a cap removably placed thereon. A circular cutter blade is exposed upon removing the cap. Coaxially positioned within the circular cutter blade is a spring biased rod that helps to remove a plug of tobacco once cut. A duel taper helps to measure or guage the depth the punch is inserted into the end of the cigar. The present invention conveniently permits punching and cutting the end of a cigar with a single, easily utilized, and commercially attractive golf tee shaped device.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cutter for cutting the tip off a cigar. The cutter has a flat housing with mutually aligned openings which are arranged on a wide side of the housing and form a through-opening for inserting the cigar. The cutter further includes at least one flat blade 6 which is arranged in the housing and has lateral sliding surfaces 6a, 6b which are guided in an essentially straight path between corresponding mutually parallel guide surfaces 2a, 2b disposed in the housing. Also disposed in the housing is a resilient element 2 which is biased against one of the sliding surfaces 6a of the blade . The blade 6 can be moved with a handle 6c to slide the blade edge 6d into the plane of the through-opening. The resilient element has the form of a leaf spring 8 with a nose-shaped projection 9 which lockingly and releasably engages with a groove 6e formed in the sliding surface 6a of the blade when the blade (6, 7) is retracted.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cigar holder provided with a detachable tip-cutting knife and a plug-removing member inside a cap of the holder. The knife has an inwardly extending portion and exterior portion hinged together and secured within a slot formed in the cap. The exterior portion lies flat in the recess formed in the cap, while the interior portion extends perpendicularly to the exterior portion, transversely to the cap opening. The plug-removing member is fixedly attached to the interior of the cap. It is adapted to pierce through the end of the cigar and remove a small portion of the cigar thereby forming a distinct channel for penetration of the tobacco smoke to the end of the cigar.

Abstract: A hollow cutter body having an opening is adapted to slidably receive an end of a cigarette lighter. The opening is defined by a cutter body wall that has a slot extending from an end of the cutter body opposite to the opening, and at least partway along a length defined by the cutter body. An aperture is also defined by the cutter body opposite and approximately aligned with the slot and includes a sharpened peripheral edge, against which a cigarette can be trimmed. The cigarette is trimmed by sliding an end through the aperture and the slot and actuating the cutter body by moving it along the lighter, causing an end of the cigarette to be cut.

Abstract: The apparatus of the invention broadly comprises a generally cylindrically shaped, hollow handle having an inner diameter and an outer diameter and also having a first end and a second end, a generally cylindrically shaped cutting member fixedly secured within the first end of the handle, and, a cap member comprising a hollow cylinder having a longitudinal axis and a disk-like endplate secured at one end thereof, the cap member having an inner diameter which is larger than the outer diameter of at least one portion of the handle, the cap member also comprising a clip extending from the cylinder generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cylinder. The invention also comprises various modifications and alternative embodiments of the apparatus, as well as a method of cutting an end of a cigar using the various embodiments.

Abstract: A finger-operated refuse-retaining cigar head cutter comprising a body member, an opening in one side of the body member sized to permit insertion of a cigar head to be cut, and refuse-retention structure in the body member opposite said opening, a cutting blade track in the body member, and a finger-operated cutting blade slidably disposed and retained in the track, the finger-operated cutting blade being moveable from an extended position to a closed position between the opening and the refuse-retention structure, whereby, upon inserting a cigar head into the opening and into the refuse-retention structure and cutting the head of the cigar by bringing the finger-operated cutting blade from an extended position into the closed position, the cigar head is cut and refuse from cutting the cigar head is retained in the refuse-retention structure by the cutting blade until the cutting blade is moved out of the closed position.

Abstract: A tower guillotine cigar end cutter has spaced twin towers with an upper crossbeam on a base, with a moveable cutter block and blade that is raised vertically by a rope, between the towers. Upon release, the cutting blade and block falls on a lower block having a channel for the blade, thereby cutting the end off a cigar. The cutter block has adjacent half-circle openings for receiving a cigar end. The moveable cutter block when raised by a rope is released when a release mechanism on the rope, contacts the crossbeam. A locking device locks the cutter block from being vertically moved from the lower block, when not in use.

Abstract: An electric cigar cutter employs a motor-driven, rotatable cutting blade which functions to trim a cigar by cutting off the tip. The cutting blade pivots, and as it pivots, it passes through the cigar, thereby cutting the tip. The present invention incorporates two safety features, to prevent accidental activation of the cigar cutter and to protect a user's fingers from contacting the cutting blade. Additionally, a mechanism is provided for adjusting the amount of the cigar to be cut off.

Abstract: The cigar cutter object of the invention consists of a cutting blade (1) with an oblique cutting edge (2), this blade being able to move in an axial direction and in a guided form between two plates (3) and (3') which are duly fixed one to the other. The cutting blade (1) is fixed to a bridging piece (7) with a pair of pins equipped with springs (10) which push the piece (7), and consequently the cutting blade (1), into the non-operational position, that is, with the cutting edge (2) of the latter above the opposing orifices (4) of the plates (3) and (3'), through which is inserted the extremity of the cigar to be cut. The device is operated by manually depressing the piece (7) via an external push button (30) attached to the piece (7), resulting in the displacement of the latter and of the cutting blade (1) that will slice through the extremity of the cigar inserted into the space determined by the aligned orifices (4).

The top of the base portion has an opening into the interior space of the base portion. A lid portion substantially closes the opening of the top of the base portion. The lid portion is hingedly coupled to the base portion. A cigarette cutting portion is extended from the bottom of the base portion. The cigarette cutting portion comprises a cutting blade and a sliding portion.

Abstract: A gas lighter which includes a gas lighter unit controlled by a press button switch to produce a flame at a flame nozzle thereof for burning, a sliding track at one side of the gas lighter unit, a slide box mounted in the sliding track and moved in and out of a bottom side of the gas lighter unit, a slide moved in and out of the slide box and holding a cutter blade for cutting a head of a cigar being inserted into a blade hole on the slide box, and a sliding switch adapted to lock the slide box and the slide when the slide box and the slide are received inside the gas lighter unit.

Abstract: An apparatus for cutting a plug from the end of a cigar comprises a housing having a hollow body portion with opposite first and second ends. The first end of the hollow body portion has a cutting edge for cutting a portion of a cigar wrapper at the end of a cigar prior to smoking. A spring-biased plunger is movable within the hollow body portion first end along a longitudinal axis thereof toward and away from the cutting edge. An elongated piercing member is attached to, and movable with, the plunger. A handle is accessible from the exterior of the housing for moving the plunger within the hollow body portion first end. The cutting edge is adaptable to cut a portion of a cigar wrapper at the end of a cigar to create a plug of the cut portion of the cigar, which plug remains at least in part within the hollow body portion first end, and the handle is operable to move the plunger toward the cutting edge to eject the plug from the housing.

Abstract: A cigarette severing device is provided including a housing with a slot and a circular aperture formed therein. A blade is slidably situated within the slot. Also included is a slider control mechanism for effecting the sliding of the blade within the slot. As such, a user may move the blade within the slot by way of the slider control mechanism for severing a cigarette situated within the circular aperture. Next provided is a mechanism for drawing the blade tightly against one of the faces of the housing only when the blade enters the circular aperture to effect a clean cut.

Abstract: A self-ejecting cigar core or plug cutter having a cylindrical barrel, a slidable cylindrical cutting tube inside the barrel, and a solid cylindrical core member inside the cutting tube, the cutting tube extending rearwardly and being secured to a knob, a spring normally biasing the cutting tube rearwardly so that its forward cutting edge is normally inside the barrel, and an L-slot on opposite sides of the cutting tube, with a pin extending through the slot and through the inner core and being secured at both ends in the barrel, whereby pushing in and turning the knob compresses the spring and forces the forward cutting edge of the cutting tube out of the forward edge of the barrel for cutting a plug out of a cigar, and whereby turning of the knob in the opposite direction releases the forward spring bias and permits the cutting tube to retract into its normal position inside the barrel, the plug cut from the cigar being ejected from the cutting tube by the inner core within the cutting tube upon retraction

Abstract: A cigar cutter comprising a housing having a cigar tip receiving aperture, a cigar tip cutoff blade having an inclined cutting edge, and a blade mounting slide telescopically fitted to the housing and adapted to be manually operated to move the blade to cut off a cigar tip inserted through the aperture. A guide on the slide engages a guide receiving channel in the housing; the slide is guided to slide into and out of the housing, and to move the blade past the aperture to a fully inserted position. A spring disposed in the channel above the guide biases the slide outwardly from the housing. The blade is mounted on the slide with the cutting edge facing generally away from and at an angle to the guide. When the slide is manipulated into the housing against the bias of the spring, forces exerted on the slide by the blade during cutting of a cigar force the slide laterally within the housing, pressing the guide against the channel.

Abstract: A pipe for use in smoking tobacco including a hollow stem having a mouth end structured as a small tool socket for grasping nuts and bolt heads, and for holding a removable screw driver rod. A tobacco bowl at the opposite end of the stem includes a sidewall defining an open mouth with the sidewall structured as a tool socket. The pipe can be stored by insertion into an elongated tubular hollow housing having a relatively large tool socket at one end, and a smaller tool socket at the opposite end in a sidewall of the housing. In a sidewall of the housing adjacent to the smaller socket is a receiving notch with inward extending lips. The pipe bowl extends 90 degrees to the stem and includes multiple grooves on its exterior surface to allow the bowl to be inserted into and grasped by the receiving notch lips to define a generally L-shaped or T-shaped overall tool shape for grasping by hand for use of the included sockets and screw driver.

Abstract: An improved cigar cutter capable of cutting a cylindrical plug from the end of a cigar is described. The cigar cutter includes a sharpened cylindrical blade slidably mounted on a cylindrical mandrel. The cylindrical blade has a radial orifice adjacent to its upper end sized to permit a ball bearing to extend partially through the orifice. The mandrel includes a helical groove extending about the circumference of the mandrel. The helical groove is sized to receive a portion of the ball bearing when the cylindrical blade is mounted on the mandrel. A cylindrical cover is provided having an inside diameter only slightly greater than the outside diameter of the cylindrical blade and a rectilinear slot extending downwardly from the top of the cover. The cover slides over the cylindrical blade with the radially outer portion of the protruding ball bearing being seated in the rectilinear slot. At least one spring-loaded pin and matching orifice is provided to retain the cover in position over the cylindrical blade.

Abstract: A smoking accessory which functions as a cigar hole punch. The implement contains a hidden and detachable cigar hole punch and puncturing awl. The outward or exterior element of the device serves as a storage compartment for housing the puncturing awl and cigar hole punch when they are not in use. The implement itself should be manufactured of a material which enables a user to display the implement as an item of jewelry. Such an implement serves the dual purpose of denoting status for the user as well as providing the user with a useful device for cutting or otherwise opening the sealed end of a cigar.

Abstract: A golf accessory which is a combined ball-mark repairer and cigar cutter and/or holder is disclosed. In a first embodiment the device includes a ball mark repairer at one end and a cigar cutter located at the other end. The device includes a sliding mechanism whereby the cigar cutter can be actuated by pulling on one end of the device while holding the other end of the device firmly. The device may optionally include projections for firmly embedding the device in the ground to provide a cigar holder for a golfer and may optionally include a ball marker as well associated magnetically with the golf accessory.

Abstract: A device which makes it possible to smoke the same cigarette several times by cutting and snuffing burning tobacco from the end of the cigarette, leaving a cigarette butt that can be smoked again. The devices uses a blade (24) and a snuffer (26), movable in a housing attachable to a tray (12) to hold a cigarette. The burning end of a cigarette is inserted into an opening in the blade and snuffer housing through which said blade and snuffer are reciprocally movable. Said blade cuts through the cigarette and detaches the burning tobacco from the cigarette, leaving the butt reconditioned for smoking again. Said snuffer is a bar which snuffs the burning tobacco cut from the end of the cigarette by pressing it against a flange (16) of the housing.

Abstract: A portable cigarette cutter, extinguisher, and conveyance apparatus having a container with a cutting blade and sealing assembly mounted therein. A cigarette or article can be inserted through the container into a cigarette or article receiving member having the cutting blade and sealing assembly mounted transversely therein. The cutting blade and sealing assembly includes an actuator member connected to a blade and seal assembly which, in turn, includes a cutting blade member connected to a blade guide and sealing member.
