Abstract: A cigar tool includes a casing with a hole through the casing. A pair of blades is pivotally connected to the casing, and each blade has a cutting edge, a closed position detent, a cutter position detent, and a deployed position detent. A spring is operably engaged with each blade to bias the cutting edge of each blade out of the casing. An actuator extends through at least a portion of the casing and has a hold position that prevents movement of the pair of blades with respect to the casing and a release position that permits movement of the pair of blades with respect to the casing. A selector is selectively engaged with the pair of blades to allow the pair of blades to move between a closed position in which each closed position detent is engaged with the actuator, a cutter position in each cutter position detent is engaged with the selector, and a deployed position in which one deployed position detent is engaged with the actuator.

Abstract: A rotary cutter assembly for a lighter comprises a lighter body which is defined with a receiving groove in an outer periphery thereof. A rotary plate is pivoted to the receiving groove in such a manner that the rotary plate can be rotated within the receiving groove. In the receiving groove is disposed a push pole, and on the rotary plate is provided an annular cutter. When the rotary plate is closed, the push pole is inserted in the annular cutter.

Abstract: A rotary cutter assembly for a lighter comprises a lighter body which is defined with a receiving groove in an outer periphery thereof. A rotary plate is pivoted to the receiving groove in such a manner that the rotary plate can be rotated within the receiving groove. In the receiving groove is disposed a push pole, and on the rotary plate is provided an annular cutter. When the rotary plate is closed, the push pole is inserted in the annular cutter.

Abstract: A cigar splitter comprises: a housing having two open ends, an inside wall and outside surface, and a long axis, wherein the open ends are in line with each other permitting a cigar to be inserted through one end and out the other. A blade is attached to the inside of the housing, the blade oriented for cutting an outer sheath of the cigar as the cigar is inserted through one end of the splitter housing and out the other end. An apparatus for lighting and splitting a cigar comprising a cigar splitter as described above and can maintain active and inactive configurations of the splitter for safety of the user.

Abstract: A combination wick cutter and lighter includes a tube connected to a handle with an opening in the end of the tube into which a wick may be received vertically along a tube longitudinal axis. When the wick is in the opening, the user moves an actuator to cut the wick and further moves the actuator to ignite the wick. Because the tube is advanced vertically, a candle wick in a candle holder with high sides relative to the position of the wick may be trimmed and lit.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a cigar accessory tray that comprises a candle, a candle holder, a plurality of wooden sticks, a wooden stick holder, and a cutting tool. In some embodiments, the cigar accessory tray further comprises an ashtray with which the cigar accessory tray may nest.

Abstract: A cigar cutter and lighter storage housing for cutting off a mouthy end of a cigar is disclosed. The housing has a body with a compartment located in an upper end for receiving a disposable lighter and an elastic membrane which removably secures the lighter within the body. A cutter element is secured in a base end of the ellipsoidal body.

Abstract: A combination lighter having dual cutting assemblies for severing the end of a cigar and punching a hole therein is disclosed. The device includes a lighter body which supports a lighter mechanism, a first cutting assembly, and a second cutting assembly. The first cutting assembly may be a guillotine style cutter having a housing which supports a moveable blade. The first cutting assembly is moveable between a closed position adjacent the lighter body, and an open position where it extends from the lighter body. The second cutting assembly may be a punch style cutter having a tubular-shaped body and a cutting end for cutting an opening in the end of a cigar. The second cutting assembly may be moveable between a retracted position, where the cutting end is substantially flush with an end of the lighter body, and an operative position where the cutting end extends from the lighter body.

Abstract: The invention provides a lighter comprising a body and an end portion having a hinged connection with the body. The body includes a recess at its lower end. The end portion includes a cigar cutter, comprising an elongated generally tubular blade, extending from a surface of the end portion. The end portion is movable between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the cutter extends within the recess and is not exposed. In the open position, the cutter does not extend into the recess. The lighter may also comprise a retainer comprising a leaf spring attached to the lower end of the body, and a slot within the end portion. In the closed position, the leaf spring is received within the slot, retaining the end portion in the closed position. Also, a lighter fuel inlet valve extends from the body and is within the recess thereof. The inlet valve is accessible through a channel in the end portion when the end portion is closed.

Abstract: A lighter including a scissors is provided. In a preferred embodiment the scissors is pivotably secured to a surface of the lighter body. In a folded configuration the scissors is flush with the lighter body and safely stowed within a compartment of the lighter body. In an unfolded configuration, the scissors is pivoted from the folded configuration and adapted for cutting cigars.

Abstract: This invention provides cutter/lighter combination devices wherein the cutter is equipped with a blade attached to a holder that moves on a track. The end of the blade holder distal from the blade edge protrudes from a notch in the side of the case. When the protruding portion of the blade carrier is pushed forward in the direction of the case, the blade moves forward across the aperture to cut any object which has been inserted into the aperture. The blade edge may be any shape, so long as the cutting edge is not present in the aperture in the absence of pressure on the blade carrier to force the blade edge to move the blade across the aperture.

Abstract: A cigar cutter and lighter storage device for cutting off an end of a cigar is disclosed. The device has a tubular body with a first end for receiving a disposable lighter and a collar which removably secures the lighter within the body. A cutter element is secured in a second end of the tubular body. The cutter element has first and second opposed side elements and a cutting member, or knife, pivotally engaged between the first and second side members. The first and second side members define an opening for receiving the end of the cigar. The cutting member is pivotally rotated from a first, or open, position to a second, or closed, position in an arcuate manner through the opening, whereby the end of the cigar is cut.

Abstract: A combination lighter and cigar cutter comprising a lighter body adapted to create a flame, and a cigar cutter removably engaged with the lighter body. The cigar cutter is adapted to be disengaged from the lighter body for cutting a cigar. Desirably, the lighter body defines an opening receiving the cigar cutter, and the cigar cutter is threadably engaged with the lighter body. The lighter body may comprise a lighter casing and an engaging member for engaging the cigar cutter and the lighter casing. Desirably, the engaging member is generally hollow and cylindrical and includes a threaded inner wall that defines a through passage and openings on each end, one for receiving the cigar cutter and one for receiving the lighter casing. The threaded inner wall engages complementary threads on the cigar cutter and complementary threads on the lighter casing. The cigar cutter can be disengaged from the lighter body for cutting a cigar and then re-engaged with the lighter body.

Abstract: An apparatus is described which preferably includes a rolled tobacco products cavity for storage of rolled tobacco products, a lighter cavity for receiving a lighter, and a clipping aperture having a cutting door movable thereover to cuts the lengths of rolled tobacco products inserted therein. A refuse cavity may be included in the apparatus adjacent the clipping aperture to store clippings from the rolled tobacco products.

Abstract: A combination lighter and cigar cutter device for cutting off an end of a cigar and lighting same includes a casing having a body, a lighting mechanism for producing a flame, and a recessed cavity formed in the body, and a cigar cutter having a planar ring member with a central opening and a thin slot formed therein. A pair of thin cutting blades are received within the slot of the ring member, each blade being movable between a first position in which the cutting blades are substantially withdrawn from the opening and a second position in which the cutting blades are completely received within the opening, so as to effect a shearing or cutting action on a cigar positioned in said opening. Each cutting blade has a handle portion secured thereto for easily moving the cutting blades between the first and second positions.

Abstract: A cigarette severing device is provided including a housing with a slot and a circular aperture formed therein. A blade is slidably situated within the slot. Also included is a slider control mechanism for effecting the sliding of the blade within the slot. As such, a user may move the blade within the slot by way of the slider control mechanism for severing a cigarette situated within the circular aperture. Next provided is a mechanism for drawing the blade tightly against one of the faces of the housing only when the blade enters the circular aperture to effect a clean cut.

Abstract: A combination cigar cutter and lighter device for cutting off an end of a cigar and lighting same includes a casing having a body, a lighting mechanism for producing a flame, and a cavity formed in the body, and a cigar cutter having a planar ring member with a central opening and a narrow slot formed therein. A narrow blade holder is positioned within the narrow slot of the ring member, the blade holder being movable between a first position in which the blade holder is substantially removed from the slot and a second position in which the blade holder is completely received within the slot. The blade holder has a blade secured thereto for cutting off the end of the cigar upon moving the blade holder from its first position to its second position. The ring member of the cigar cutter is pivotally secured to the casing for movement between an open use position and a closed non-use position in which the ring member is disposed within the cavity.

Abstract: A money clip and cigar cutting apparatus is provided with a housing having an opening therethrough. A cutting blade is supported by the housing such that a sharpened edge thereof traverses the opening for cutting a cigar. A money clip is pivotally attached to the housing so that the money clip can be pivoted clear of the cigar cutter.

Abstract: A lighter provided with a cigarette extinguisher which is capable of cutting and extinguishing a burning head of a cigarette safely. The cigarette extinguisher comprises an upper cut element, a torsion spring, a tongue, a lower cut element and a pivot pin. The pivot pin pivotally connects the upper cut element and the lower cut element to facilitate the relative pivotal movement of the upper cut element and the lower cut element, the relative pivotal movement affects the cutting-off of a cigarette head which is inserted into the space between the upper cut element and the lower cut element.

Abstract: A composite smoker's kit for preparing a pipe or a cigar for smoking. The kit is readily adaptable to the body portion of a lighter mechanism to enable easy transfer from a spent lighter mechanism to a fresh lighter mechanism and thereby enjoy a long lifetime of use. The kit features smoker's tools which are compactly mounted on a spring clip of the kit. The tools are detented on the lighter body when not in use but can be conveniently pivoted to operational position when desire is to use the tools.
