Abstract: Coloring of hairs are common for beautification, religious reasons and expression of choices. Commonly, a single hair dye is applied to the hairs all over which leaves a uniform color of the hairs. However, this is not ideal in certain conditions, for example when the person wishes to have shades of hair coloring to match the changes that happens with age. Also in circumstance when a person wishes to have a more artistic hair coloring than a uniform hair color. For this reasons a in this application method and means are introduced that allows in this differential coloring to be possible. In this method a hand held brush means allows a predicted amount of the hair dye to be carried to the hairs and applied. This can be done by use of a brush means that has a series of brush units that are capable of holding a predicted amount of the hair dye for being taken to be delivered to the hairs.

  • Publication number: 20030102003
Abstract: A treatment hairbrush that is capable of evenly dispersing water-based solutions and other thin and non-viscous liquids over the user's scalp during routine hair brushing. An absorbent filler unit is placed into a chamber of the hairbrush body and absorbent feed rods are mounted into bores inside the hairbrush bristles. The absorbent feed rods interconnect the absorbent filler unit and roller-ball nozzles located at the bristle's ends. Liquid disperses over the user's scalp only during rolling contact of the roller-balls mounted within the nozzles with the scalp. The hairbrush can be provided with a removable handle and with a filler inlet located at a junction between the hairbrush body and the handle. The user can refill the hairbrush with or without a disposable liquid refilling cartridge, which holds a predetermined volume of liquid. • Patent number: 5325878
Abstract: A fluid dispensing comb for applying a fluid to the hair has a body upon which a plurality of teeth are formed such that they are configured to have a V-shape, thereby defining a groove. An absorbent pad is disposed within the groove defined by the teeth and functions as a reservoir and application means for containing and dispensing a fluid such as hair oil, coloring, or conditioner to the hair. The absorbent pad is preferably replaceable and may be inserted into the groove of the teeth from the end of the comb, from the top of the comb, or alternatively by pivoting the teeth along a living hinge, formed at the apex or one end thereof. Alternatively, the absorbent pad may be permanently molded into the groove of the teeth. A cuff may optionally be disposed upon the comb to catch and/or absorb excess fluid which would otherwise tend to drip therefrom.
